He tried to join a pirate crew he had no business joining. Luffy almost accidentally killing him while trying to help.

If that's not crew mate material, I don't know what is.

Shanks will always feel guilty with how things ended with MIhawk and Buggy.

In relation to whenever Shank's name pop's up, Buggy's anger always runs hot but gradually turns to bitterness. Mihawk's apathy was once bitterness and betrayal.

Jinbe and Franky once accidentally stumbled upon a discussion on how their actions actively led to another one of the other strawhats to be hurt.

Sanji overheard this conversation and gave them 'special' dinners that night.

Zoro is allergic to mangoes. The crew found out when he complained that Sanji's dish of mango sticky rice was too spicy.

Bogard had asked Garp to be a bit tactile for a few weeks after picking up Koby and Helmeppo as he noticed that Garp's actions and words would make them flinch a bit more violently than the other recruits.

Arlong unintentionally taught Koala the basics of Fishman karate after silently watching him training on his own.

Sabo hates the smell of candles no matter what the scent is. Koala will light one in his room whenever he annoys her past a certain point.

Doflamingo and Rocinante both liked their feather aesthetics because it was their mother's favorite in the holy land.

Bebo once brought a feather coat on board and that was the first time that Law yelled at him with actual venom in his voice.

I can never describe the amount of joy that overcame me when I saw Whitebeard for the first time in his prime. HE WAS BLONDE. When I catching up to one piece, Marco and Whitebeard were two of my favorites and I always had this little headcannon that Marco was Whitebeard's first son. People definitely mistook Marco for Whitebeard's actual son because of the blonde hair. So imagine the scream I let out when I finally caught up to the anime and made my delusion permanent for me.

I will never get over the Marine that Luffy inspired to go for his brother. He was afraid, full of adrenaline, and just about nearly died. And yet when the younger calls for him, he hesitates. The choice should have been easy, right? His brother may have been an ass but then isn't that what a sibling is? They both do care for each other but were both stuck in situations that they were no where near qualified enough to handle. But it's Luffy that gives the older brother that push. It's Luffy who indirectly showed him that even if your brother was a "devil child", that's still your brother who you would fight the entire world for. Luffy might never encounter this Marine again but the mark he left on him will stick with him forever.

Crying because do you think that Luffy was so upset at failing to save Vegapunk was because it reminded him of his inability to save Ace. He was even killed by an Admiral through the chest. This isn't funny Oda 😭

I think the funniest and the most tragic thing they can do is casting Ace's voice actor to voice Luffy for the One Piece remake.

A very niche AU I enjoy is when Luffy is sent back in time and meets Ace and the Whitebeards but I'm gonna make it even more niche and suggest an AU where all of the straw hats (post-wano) are sent back in time without Luffy to meet the Whitebeards.
