Note
hi! I really love your webseries and I was wondering if any of you are coming to vidcon this year. I know it's a quite a bit far for you all but if you end up going please let me know! I would love to meet you all :)
Thank you!! Sorry for the late response. We’ve been off working on other projects, and haven’t checked this tumblr lately (oops).
I know we’d all love to go to vidcon, but sadly I don’t think it will happen this year. Hopefully we will make that happen sometime down the road, though :) If it does we will most definitely post about it to let you and everyone else know, because we’d love to meet you too!
Thanks for being so sweet, and making our day!

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-This is the only episode in the series to involve every cast member.
-In our version (unlike the original), Demetrius realizes at he has been enchanted at the end and leaves Helena :(
-The Weavers actually improvised dialogue during their scene. The footage was pretty amusing and can be seen in the upcoming behind the scenes video on the Third Star youtube channel.
-The letter that Titania receives references Messina, the setting in another Shakespeare play, Much Ado About Nothing.
-Several cast members kept souvenirs from the set. Will (Theseus) kept his laurel crown and Nick B. (Bottom) kept the ass hat.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-This episode was filmed in the same room where A Play of Sorts (the Shakespearean improv fundraiser put on by 3rd Star and the improve troupe Tongue N' Cheek) took place.
-The wig Flute (Nick Mecikalski) wears is a Taylor Swift Halloween wig.
-Every 3rd Star Production to date has involved fake blood of some sort.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-There are several Easter eggs in Quince's bedroom referencing University Ever After including: a poster for the musical "Once", several props used in UEA including the clock and the mugs, and a book of Grimm's fairy tales.
-The Weavers were total MVPs. They always knew their lines and showed up ready to go!
-This episode was shot on the first day of filming, along with episode 2.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-Another scene filmed in freezing weather, this time in the 20s.
-Titania's hair get progressively messier throughout the episodes to show how the long night and enchantment are effecting her control.
-The flowers on Titania and Bottom's "bed" were left over from the Midsemester photo shoot.
-This scenes between Titania, Bottom, Oberon, and Puck were the last ones filmed.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-This episode was originally intended to take place outside, but rain and freezing temperatures forced us to move the scene indoors at the last minute.
-This episode literally took all night to film. It is one of the longest episodes, and one of the most difficult to film. We actually ordered pizza to help us make it through the night.
-During a break between filming Ryan (Demetrius) decided to actually write some fanfiction in Helena's fanfic notebook.
-The ending scene had to be filmed outside, and the rain and mud are visible on screen.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-This episode was shot in 30 degree weather, and the actors had to struggle to not visibly shiver during takes. Everyone huddled together under blankets between takes. See: adorable instagram photos.
-Instead of turning into a literal ass (as in the original Shakespeare) our Bottom turns into an obnoxious frat boy with an "ASS" snapback.
-Music by UEA alum Samuel Lockridge (Eli Prince) is featured in this and several other episodes
-During one take at the end of the night, Nick (Bottom) jumped back on screen along with Sydney (Quince) to finish singing "Get Low". You can see part of their rendention in the blooper reel.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-Two University Ever After actors make a cameo in the party scene at the beginning of the episode: Kamyl (Ella Cinders) and Doug (Olaff)
-The sprinklers went off during this episode, forcing the cast and crew to grab every piece of equipment in sight and book it off the grass to avoid ruining any of the very expensive equipment. The camera kept rolling for part of this, leading to a pretty hilarious blooper.
-In order to get audio for the car interior shots, Nick Brovender (ADP extraordinaire and Bottom) laid in the floorboard of the backseat with a shotgun mic.
-The close up of Julia (Helena) at 4:16 was actually filmed months after the original footage was filmed and in a different location.
-The leaf in Julia's hair stuck there by accident, but we liked it so much we kept it in all the shots.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-Rachel (Titania) wears 3.5 inch stilettos in all her scenes because the script called for shoes that "looked like they could kill a man".
-The building seen in this episode is the exterior of the building where episode 6 took place.
-Julia (Helena) wears comic socks that say "SPLAT" on them. "Splat" is also Julia's stage name in the campus improv group Tongue N' Cheek.
-All the fairies wear dark colors, blues, purples, and black to accentuate their connection to nighttime and magic.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-Episode 2 and 8, which both take place in Quince's dorm, were filmed in the common room of Julia and Rachel's suite.
-The theatre posters on the wall are some of Quince's favorite musicals.
-Each of the Weavers has a unique personality/look: Quince is earthy/ grounded; Bottom is a stereotypical theatre major; Snug is quirky/girly; Snout is bland and gray (he is also "Wall" after all); Starveling is a hippie/yogi; and Flute is steampunk.
-The snack Snug (Mara) is eating out of her overalls pocket is cheerios.
-In order to pop up behind Quince and Snug, Nick B. (Bottom) literally had to belly-crawl across the floor.

Behind the scenes tidbits:
-This episode was originally filmed at a different location (look back at old instagram photos and you may be able to tell). After having to reschedule part of the filming for the episode, we decided to completely start over at a new location that we liked better than the first.
-The house in the background is a fraternity house at Vanderbilt.
-Because of scheduling and lighting issues, this episode (and most of the daytime shots for the whole show) had to be filmed VERY early in the morning. The crew was called at 5am!
-The actors had so much trouble not laughing during the "die the death" reaction shot that there was only one usable shot (seen in the episode). You can see the other takes in the blooper reel.
-The notebook Julia is carrying is labeled "Fanfiction". Helena is a huge fangirl in our adaptation :)
