A Portrait of a Woman on a Couch With Cats
"UGHHH this song is just. Idk it's so catchy for some reason. And the lyrics... the content... they're so raw and honest while also not sounding like a white guy complaining into a microphone. Sometimes I get just the "GOOOOOOD DAMNNNN i need a CIGARETTE!" part stuck in my head, it's just so good!"
--
False Teeth
"This one goes hard. It feels so sad but in a distinctly gen z way that I can relate to. Idk"

Call It In The Air
"Arizona totally counts as the midwest don’t worry about it"
(mod note; I personally believe that any band that sounds like midwest emo is midwest emo. only 2nd wave emo/emo actually from the midwest is easy to define, a lot of 4th wave/emo revival bands are midwest emo in terms of sound despite not being from the midwest and I think that by restricting ourselves to just bands from a collection of states we are losing out on great music!)
---
Take On Me
"This song sounds like shit and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible"
(mod note; funny how the band directly after that statement is cap'n jazz, considering that is, according to the real emo copypasta, the only REAL emo band out of the midwest scene)
