S.I.a.E.C 2025 Redesign/Revamp 📺🩷💜

Beforehand, the credits for the people whose drawings of her on Art Fight served as the direct inspiration for this revamping of her character!

@permissiontokick ; creating a fullbody design for her. (which I admit that, wasn't the actual intention - she was meant moreso to be a monitor with a digital face, but I enjoyed the fullbody take!)

@coffeehands ; the streamer interpretation of hers.

Essentially, everyone who drew her in Art Fight for visually expanding on those ideas!

Now, to be real; I don't know exactly what compelled me to just now revive this OC that was on my Art Fight account ever since 2019, but it felt good to revitalize her based on my current character sensibiities!

A lore revamp is to follow and it'll probably be added to her character page along with the redesign.

Sonic and the Swords of Time AU - Main cast from the Robloxian Archipelago (as of Demo 4)

Took days in a row, but finally expanded it to include the main support cast (so far)!

I sorta picked the most similar species (vaguely) to match Tutorial Terry and Jerry and make them reflect real penguins a little more. Yeah, I consciously picked a crested penguin species so Terry could keep the angry eyebrows.

While I wondered for a bit which animal species could fit them, opted for the human treatment for The Sisters and Cap'n because, thought it'd not only be more interesting, but would fit better with Robloxia in this AU being an archipelago where humans and anthros coexist.

For Kitchen Wizard... I admit I could NOT resist the Ratatouille joke. 😅

Things that were not in my bingo list for Art Fight Reveal Stream 2025 (in a happy surprise way)

Having the first audience question of the AMA be mine (I asked the staff who were their favorite characters of all fiction).

Scoring 2.100 in Jeopardy.

Be in doubt over which theme I choose, because the Pokémon kid in me said "FOSSIL!" and Steven Universe teenager in me said "CRYSTAL!" as soon as the theme was confirmed. (might go with Crystal in honor of the Lars of the Stars announcment, though!)

Possible scenery lore thingy I've wondered for a bit, but decided to write down now

Warning! Block Tales Chapter 4 spoilers.

So, those two statues of the Temple of the Red Sun and a few of the hieroglyphs imply that the Firebrand worshipping was divisive at one point in its history. I forgot the exact text but, while one statue is proudly revering something, the other is in despair.

There's also the stated implication that the half of the civilization that did not support the Firebrand worshipping fled, but doesn't elaborate what happened to them once they ran away.

Then I couldn't help but think about the Ancient Tomb.

Both are tombs left behind by ancient civilizations. We progress through both by dodging traps and solving puzzles. And both have hieroglyphs depicting the possible story of the people behind them.

Though their art styles have a significant difference: the Red Sun Temple's seem more, rudimentary - or at least, simpler - while the Ancient Tomb's have a lot more detail to their figures.

Theres also how the Ancient Tomb's hieroglyphs, when we go deeper, show focus on destruction afflicting the people. Meanwhile, the Red Sun Temple's are, as lampshaded by the cast, nothing but what the Firebrand and the Ancients need to be appeased.

What if, maybe...

The people behind the Ancient Tomb were the half of the Red Sun Temple's civilization who ran away (or even their descendants), after no longer being able to handle all the death?

Anyway! I sorta tried to mix the Sonic and Block Tales' logos' respective styles into one for this.

And yea, the color for Sonic's name is an intentional reference to the Blueberry flavor - mostly because not only it matches his color, but because its "deciding an option" and victory animations are directly based on him.

Might've been meaning to do this one for a long while... and yeah, my bad, felt too lazy to do Cactus Rose's wings while drawing this. ^^'

Best watsonian excuse I can manage is, she was not wearing Devil Wings because it was while she and Vagabond were in the "enemies" phase of Enemies to QPR, before she got them.

And yea, Captain might be their third wheel.

A few of the Block Tales characters adapted into the Sonic universe, for "Sonic and the Swords of Time".

I tweaked a little of Griefer's design compared to the art that inspired this whole AU, by mostly putting influences of my personal Griefer design and changing his fur to reflect better the one of an actual white tiger.

Red and Blue are some of the earliest ideas I had and settled on, and Cruel King was chosen via poll - and all three diverge from my personal designs of them, when compared to Griefer.

WARNING! Endgame spoilers for both 4th Chapters of Block Tales and deltarune.

You might've been unable to stop them from rising… …but there's still a chance to stop them before they destroy the worlds you care about.

(I just can't stop thinking on how the stars aligned SO perfectly, that two of my hyperfixations had equally - in my humble opinion - emotionally impactful chapters for their updates, that were beautifully capped out with battles against a deity and a deity-esque being, respectively, with some of the best songs in each game so far.

Also, lowkey pretty proud of how the art turned out! Surprised I didn't do too much corner cutting when it came to drawing the Ancients for my first attempt.)

Concept of possible designs for the "Dream Cast" or the OG Sonic 4 for maybe-will-exist-maybe-will-not AU "Sonic and the Swords of Time".

Lots of other AU and what-if esque ramblings are under the cut! Will also have a side of Pre-Prologue spoilers.

Confession time: I've sorta been waiting for the Demo 4 update - specifically on the side of the Pre-Prologue - to figure out how to genuinely work out the inciting incident to get the gang to embark on the SFOTH collecting adventure.

Oddly, now while I decided to keep the "Robloxia is adapted as an archipelago of closely-knit islands where both humans and anthros live" and "The gang just wanted to catch up with a fun trip before The Plot happens" deals I initially thought of, I also decided to keep the time travel kickstarter deal of Block Tale's plot. A few changes might happen given the protagonist change (including the obvious of the Block Tales being adapted into the Sonic world), but the only thing I'll spoil for now is that at least a bit of those changes will be brought because of the aftermath of the Cruel King fight.

And, no, will probably not change the Mysterious Figure into four people (in case the theory they're the Player turns out to be true) - though when/if I get to write a story for this AU, I'll likely write them down as someone who could either be a human or an anthro to keep the air of mystery.

We suggest taking some time to prepare! Update your characters, curate those bookmarks with our shiny new folders, and work on those refs we know you've been putting off...

Drawing attacks before the event begins is strictly disallowed and can result in your account being banned. However, storyboarding and thumbnailing is permitted so long as not directly used within the finished work (i.e., tracing).

It's uncanny how these two Earthbound-inspired quirky RPGs got me feelin' the exact same way lately.

Warning! Block Tales Demo 4 AND deltarune Chapters 3+4 endgame spoilers.

Both started with me like, "Hahah! Yay, some fun times to distract myself from ending horrors!"

And ended with me like, "WHY I AM FIGHTING A GOD(-LIKE) BEING, AND WHY IT HAS SUCH A BANGER OF A BATTLE THEME?"

Also, "It's TV Time!"'s Genesis Sonic game-esque bit, and the "SMB 3 endgame-esque riff" stretch right after, are huge hype raisers for me.

The dialogue I wrote in the image is for the overworld, but for the rematches against the first four emotions, it'd give hints on how to succesfully reason with them in order to settle down things peacefully with them - based on my theory that when/if the second Dream World trip happens, the Player will have to understand their own vices instead of attempting to get rid of them.
