Indulgence ~ May Bujo Spreads🎀✨🌈
I got a glitter highlighter at the dollar store that looks like a tube of lip gloss; that's the "color" I used for the highlighter pink bows everywhere.
May is my birthday month, so the theme was "Indulgence": drawing what I want, in a style I like, in colors I love so lots of ruffles, bows, tiny cray-pas, and pastel colors (esp. pink). I was heavily inspired by the sketchbook spreads Jessica Elena posts on Bluesky.
I convinced myself to use washi tape on exactly one spread; I'm terrible at using my journal supplies. Now that I have page structure down, I just prefer to come in with the ink pens and tombows. Perhaps one month I'll just make the theme "Using My Damn Journaling Supplies".

May 2025 Pages! Krobus!
I did have to make the patterns on the yellow scraps myself, but I think it came out cute.

🪻June🪻

Yet another purple floral spread, this time based around some lavender serviettes my mom found and wanted to use as her journal decoration this month.
I learned a lot about how not to glue a serviette to paper, but I think it turned out pretty well and it was fun. I enjoyed doing spreads that were based completely around only one item, instead of a general theme, or a sheet of stickers.

🪻May set-up🪻

I feel like I've been doing florals constantly (two months in a row in my own journal), but I had to find something that wasn't pink or vintage for this month, and thought "lavender" worked as a good guideline. Although I didn't end up using lavender as the actual references.
I also tried to use some gold foil as accents across the setup, which I think ended up being really cute, yet a pain, because now the pages keep sticking together in the spots I wasn't as thorough with.
But I do love this spread and theme.

Plus we are getting a bonus closeup of how I messed up on the gold foil.
Sometimes journaling is about having fun, and having a creative outlet, and being able to use that for the month so to anyone reading this that may need to hear it:
Trust the process, have fun, make mistakes. Sometimes the "mistakes" in art end up being the fun little details you love the most.
You don't learn without them.

The introduction:
Welcome to my little corner of the internet that I have designated to be for journaling.

I tend to do a bit of a combination of bullet journaling and junk journaling. And I set up two journals a month, for both myself and my mom.
This space is dedicated to posting my own journal set ups, collecting inspiration of any sort, and saving the ideas from others on here that I love.
I'll also gladly help out anyone new to these types of journaling formats with new ideas.
