I did say I was going to maybe try making this trend work for Javert as well (ti ti ti ti, it was on tiktok maybe a month ago)

His life does not receive the light this trend on tiktok uses, (It usually goes from really dark to really bright from left to right) but for him I decided to just keep everything dark, the brightest point being him being a successful inspector, because in his mind that would probably be the highest point he could ever achieve.

From left to right, we have: kid Javert, young guard Javert, Inspector Javert, derailed Javert and Javert in the Seine

So in attempting to make animal character designs for Javert and Valjean (dog and cat) I realised I made Javert look EXACTLY like my dog

She's like a tiny version of him, she even has graying whiskers now that she's getting older, though she's always had gray hairs in her coat. Maybe it is just her being from a shelter also, guess they both grew up behind bars😭

Bonus for today, I've been seeing photos of the Les Mis cast from todays Wast End live the entire day on instagram and something about historical clothing paired with sunglasses is making me absolutely lose it still.

Ok, so unsurprisingly, my collage notes were not safe from Valvert. This is a comic I did in one of my classes. Basically, Valjean throws a ball and gets sad/ jealous he can't dance with Javert in public and gets drunk. Silly gay old man things ensue.

I'm writing all of this because my handwriting is HORRIBLE, and I want people to still get the gist of it without reading. I also do not write stuff ever, especially not while paying attention to the lecturer, so it may be really cheesy and bad😬

Gave Fem Valjean short hair and I'm kinda living for it? Meanwhile fem Javert literally looks the same as regular Javert, he transcends gender in my mind

I honestly do not know that much about Courfeyrac yet, since most of my knowledge about character comes from the musical and I haven't gotten that far into the book yet, but from what I see of this ship, it seems like a really cute pairing! Marius does give me bisexual vibes, like he'd have a lot od crushes and be absolutely smitten and flustered all the time (or maybe I'm projecting lol), so he's very shippable with a lot of characters. That's all I can say for now, I need to get back into reading now that I'm done with finals.

Anyways I have my plans for watching all Les Mis media (which is quite insane now that I'm looking at the list of everything). I still have not watched this movie, but there's something about this Javert that I just know I'm going to adore. He is so fun to draw
