Well, long time, no see, and also a long story.

Hi, I’m Carter. A lot of my blog info and covers and stuff are outdated now but I also run or... rather RAN minxy-draws and bone-simulator.

Not many people will remember me or even wonder where I went, but I felt a need to stop in and say... Well, this might not be goodbye. But right now, I’m not comfortable posting on tumblr.

When I turned 18 back in 2018, I made a Twitter account. And after a while, I actually deleted Tumblr off my phone and was actually only ever posting to Twitter.

That probably seems super weird to whoever is reading this, but it was to make me happy. I felt very limited in what I could post on Tumblr. It felt like all I could post was sunshine and rainbows. And that’s not the art I like making

My art that I post to Twitter is a lot more true to me, but also very triggering to a lot of people, and most of it is also not meant to be consumed by people under 18.

My art has improved a lot and I’ve grown as a person since I’ve been able to draw what I wanted. And what really made me happy as of recent is that a lot of other artists I loved... Have noticed me! Artists who also left Tumblr and went to Twitter. Artists I looked up and who I thought would never see me. I felt like I was an ant compared to them. But I’ve actually gotten to talk with some of these artists now. The community I’m in has finally welcomed me and noticed my artwork. I have 369 followers on Twitter, a follower count I couldn’t even dream of before. 369 followers, a lot of which have interacted wirh me, and who are interested in my weird artwork. A kind of artwork that tends to have a small audience.

And perhaps the best part is... Not having to worry about being “cancelled” for drawing something that someone doesn’t like. A lot of people view my artwork as morally wrong. I knew that on Tumblr, with the way the Tumblr community was back when I left, that my artwork would never survive here as it has on Twitter.

That’s not to say I will never post on Tumblr again. But for now, I don’t have content I’m comfortable posting here. As I’ve said, most of my content is now meant to be consumed by a 18 or older audience. Tumblr has made it clear that kind of content is not allowed here, and I respect that. Twitter is rated 17+, so I’m staying there.

Thank you to all the friends I had here. I’m sorry I took so long to post this. I just... Really didn’t feel welcome here.

I won’t be linking either of my Twitter accounts, simply because I know no one that is following me will want to see my content. As previously stated, it’s triggering content, it’s mature content, it was never meant for Tumblr.

Another reboop from my art blog! I'm really loving this new paper!

Another experiment with colored pencil on black paper! Mainly what I'm noticing with this paper is that the surface is very smooth. My colored pencils of choice have a very soft wax with lots of pigment so this is both good and bad. Good because it makes blending the pencils super easy since I can smudge the pigment with my fingers or a blending stump. Bad because the pigment comes off of the paper very easily.....

So, I use astral projection way different than most. One of these differences being I can visit any 'universe' I want. I also tend to make a permanent body in that universe that runs on autopilot while Im not actively projecting. One of my permanent bodies got injured today and ended up in surgery. Here's some glorious tid-bits of what they said while I wasn't controlling them as they were coming out of anesthesia....
