Personally, I prefer Rick and Jerry as best friends who'd sooner die than admit it than as a ship... but I honestly can't disagree with ANY of this.

I mean, they have (or at least at one point had) matching tattoos. And Rick’s is on his ass, because of course it is. 🤣

At this point, it's probably safe to assume that Jerry has wondered what kissing Rick would be like.

AND this episode confirms that the Omega Device was why Slo Mobius's kids didn't really recognize him in photos. I've seen that theory before, but personally, I'd always just chalked it up to how little they are.

And obviously, that would be sad enough, but of course, nooooo, the truth has to be the even sadder version. 😭😭😭😭😭

so beth can't remember her mom, just that she had a mom and now she's gone. rick remembers the details of diane's death and of her in general, but it still fucks with his memory of her? we're probably gonna get more details about the omega device and what it did/what it can do in later seasons but the fact that both beth and rick still feel a sense of loss thinking about diane but can't remember much about her... :(

For those of you who are new here since late May, I celebrated Rick and Morty season 8 premiere weekend by bringing my giant Pickle Rick to work. So of course I'm doing it again for season finale weekend!

Was anyone else hoping the post credits scene would show at least a few of Morty Jr.'s children (since apparently there's a LOT of them)?

So some possible reasons why Morty Jr. is in the hospital:

1) He's dying of old age. This is probably the most likely considering how fast his species ages. :(

2) He needs medical treatment. Maybe like an organ translpant or blood transfussion? I feel like him having half-human half-gazorpian dna would make it hard for him to get medical treatment. (Maybe this also becomes a way for Morty to show Morty Jr. more about Gazorpazorp; considering Morty Jr. probably is not very in touch with his gazorpean heritage)

3) Morty Jr. has his own family now and he wants Morty to meet his newborn child.

Summer mostly feels like she's been set back a few seasons, too. The person with the most consistent character development & growth at this point is Jerry.

I know that growth isn't 100% linear, but damn, I wish the writers would decide what they're going to do with Rick's character. He keeps going back and forth between being almost TOO nice and acting like a raging asshole.

Since we still don’t know exactly when Diane was omegaed, it’s possible that Jerry could’ve met her, meaning that her memory could exist in his mind. If that’s the case, Memory Rick could’ve brought her to live with him in the Memory Smith house.

Agreed. Between last night's reveal (if he wasn't just exaggerating to impress Morty Jr., which I hope but don't think he was) and the "Okay, but you can't hog all the drugs this time!" line in Cryo Mort a Rickver, we are really learning... some things about Morty this season, huh?

'There's been way more than 5' I hope he's just lying to impress Morty Jr because what do you mean you've slept with that many people at 14?
