How I imagine Mary I of England would have looked like
I performed a facial reconstruction of Mary I of England, using Mark Satchwill's "Portrait of a Tudor Lady" as the reference. I then digitally enhanced the artwork by drawing over it, refining the final image with adjustments in Lightroom Photoshop app to enhance highlights and hues. All my credits go to Mark Satchwill !

Makes sense. Elizabeth, the scum of the earth sister that she was, wouldn't even fulfill Mary's dying wish of finally reuniting with her mother in death at least, by refusing to bury her with Queen Catherine, against what was Mary's last and deepest wish.
(…) And this further I say unto you in the word of a prince, I cannot tell how naturally a mother loveth her children, for I was never the mother of any, but certainly a prince and governor may as naturally and as earnestly love subjects, as the mother doth her child. Then assure yourselves, that I being sovereign lady and queen, do as earnestly and as tenderly love and favour you. (…)
And (…) I have hitherto lived a virgin, and doubting nothing but with God’s grace shall as well be able so to live still. But if as my progenitors have done before, it might please God that I might leave some fruit of my body behind me to be your governor, I trust you would not only rejoice there at, but also I know it would be to your great comfort.
—Queen Mary I’s speech at Guildhall, during the Wyatt Rebellion in 1554.
Not only was Queen Mary I the original ‘Mother of the Nation’ but also the original ‘Virgin Queen’. Both titles were stolen from her by her sister and her propaganda.

so hypothetically speaking... if i had a fic that was based off another fic of mine... from my old, beginner days at ffn... (there is an oc the old fic centres around)... and i felt that the old fic had so much potential but younger me may have jumped on the wrong bandwagon... and now. i have better idea. i wrote some of it. and i like it. so. would it make sense to post it? sort of?
HOWEVER, remember that this will very much still be a semi-practice fic for the universe. the improved universe i've thought of almost constantly for the past year still involves the fic being in the original time period, but right now i'm too tired for all the research and a modern au is where we're going.
also it's specifically for the tudors fandom. (but there's a sequel idea that might make it a crossover with hamilton; don't question it, trust the process)
so... ye or nay?
