The Mirror Visitor Series Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Mirror Visitor Series is set in a world that is divided by arks and special abilities. I enjoyed this series very much as it was captivating, created relatable and engaging characters, the plot was exciting and enthralling, and the overall mood and theme of the novel seemed credible to the point that it seemed realistic. I have been waiting for years to finish this series and although I enjoyed the process, I was disappointed with the ending as it was clearly rushed and certainly felt very incomplete. I think if @christelledabos created an ending that felt complete, I would have enjoyed it more. As of now, it feels as if there should be another book to follow it, yet we were told this was the last one. . . . . https://www.instagram.com/p/ChcnPAiI0fJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Ok we were all obsessed with it once. You can all disagree with me but... Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌜 4.5 Although the characters were questionable and so was the romance which was only enabled by a severe sense of codependency from the both of them, ultimately sending a horrific message to young girls around the world a out relationships, the writing was better than critics five it credit for and I actually think the plot was quite entertaining. . . . . #stepheniemeyer #twilight #bookblogger #bookgram #bookreviewer #book #review #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #plants #apple #loveit https://www.instagram.com/p/ChaBPHgIB30/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Is my second book from @jeremyraystories and personally I much preffered Petrified women over the House Plant. Petrified women was a captivating, constantly suspenseful novel, consistently stupefying the reader with its plot twists. It explored the very sensitive yet prevalent issue of sexual assault and rape, as well as the reasons behind these acts: the fact that some people dare to feel entitled to take a piece of someone away, leaving then traumatised for life. Petrified women is not a horror in my opinion, but instead a beautiful, poignant story of justice and trust, which will remain with me for a long time. This novel is a metaphor for women helping other women in such situations, while simultaneously not judging other women for not helping because it describes the emotions that might act as an obstacle to the person in question. This is also a fantasy because this type of revenge, of justice, is something that should happen to all sexual assaulters and rapists. The only part that I didn't enjoy was once again that I thought the interactions between characters felt slightly contrived, and the reactions of some characters didn't seem realistic enough. Otherwise, the style of writing was perfect for this type of novel. Overall though, I thought it was a magnificent exploration of sexual assault that was sensitive, heartfelt and understanding. You can find Petrified women on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited in @jeremyraystories bio. . . https://www.instagram.com/p/ChZCFwDgRoH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I read Little Women about a year ago and it has remained one of the most beautiful and powerful books I have ever read. The story centers around one family of sisters, all vastly different, that learn to be themselves and unite as a family. It impresses the reader with the moral values they learn and invites the reader to follow in their footsteps. Throughout the novel, Alcott explores several themes such as family unity, honesty, forgiveness, and hard work, as well as true love. Although it may seem monotonous at its core, I believe this is also a stylistic choice to portray that beauty and poignancy can also be found in the everyday. Overall, a beautiful, poignant, and emotionally evoking story that I recommend to everyone. . . . . . https://www.instagram.com/p/ChNEA5jM17g/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Ugly love Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐🌜 3.5/5 Ugly Love is an intriguing, enticing romance novel which encourages readers to keep reading at every turn. I wouldn't call it suspenseful, but more captivating and engaging. It was descriptive, built characters very well, usually maintained good control over pace, and it keeps its audience in mind. I....am not part of that demographic. I don't enjoy romance too much and quickly lose interest. I thought it was a bit to repetitive and sometimes even cliché. It all revolved around love and constant validation of their love. But I will take into account that this is my opinion on romance novels. I do appreciate how well-written it is and the care and thought put into building this storyline. It became very interesting at the end when the tragedy shone through and showed us what we've been waiting for e.g. why Miles was so closed off. However, throughout the novel I almost cringed when Tate felt so hurt and Miles continued to say "I hate that I'm doing this to you" while never doing anything about it. He had his issues and he spilled them all over Tate as well. Not to mention, he only mentioned the effects he had on her, forgetting about the vice versa, which I thought was very possessive, presumptuous, and to be honest, manipulative, pinning everything onto Tate. Especially presumptuous though. It also gave off slight Twilight recognition signs because he was so distant and closed off almost like the relationship between Edward and Bella. We all know how filled with misogynistic undertones that was, so that's something I didn't really enjoy about the book. But overall, it was a good book for those that like romance because it was descriptive, had a captivating atmosphere to it, and had a pretty nice plot, especially at the end. . . . . . https://www.instagram.com/p/ChE_17gMfFd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Star Rating: idk/5 ⭐ I don't even know what rating to give this novel. Verity was one of the most perplexing, suspenseful yet paradoxically serene, and messed up novels that I have ever read. It takes a juggle on readers perceptions and what they think the truth is in the end. I both hate and love this novel. I hate it because of how messed-up it was and the ambiguity and vagueness of the entire book. I despise the fact that Lowen remains with Jeremy even after his three murder attempts on Verity, the last being successful. The entire plot relies on a misunderstanding that became fatal to Jeremy and Verity's relationship and eventually to Verity, and since this misunderstanding was clouded with such a large amount of pain and tragedy, it became volatile and eventually destroyed the rest of their family. I love it because of how intriguing it is, how shocking, and how outrageous it is. The story builds an image of both Verity and Jeremy in such a way that when their roles are reversed in the end, it leaves us flabbergasted, absolutely paralysed due to the unpredictable twist. This novel leaves us uncertain of whether the actions of anyone were truly justified: whether Verity should have lied, whether she was actually manipulative in that sense, whether Jeremy(in his current mindset) should have murdered her, and whether Lowen was justified to leave with him and create a new family. This perplexity and complexity in the characters and plot speaks volumes about the quality of the book. The only aspect I didn't like was the ending which felt unsatisfying and incomplete. I suppose this was the intention and I should just wallow in pain like the other readers. Having an unsatisfying ending is understandable because the entire plotline is uncomfortable but I'm not entirely sure it was done for effect. It seemed genuine. Personally I don't really enjoy incomplete endings which is why the rating for this book would probably be a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5. Lowen should not have ended up with a volatile, violent murderer. Overall, a suspenseful, shocking, outrageous, well-planned, and scandalously well-written novel. . . . . . . https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg9tpqwsVnP/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

THE HOUSE PLANT REVIEW ⬇️ I was recently contacted by the author @jeremyraystories for an honest review of The Houseplant, his short story drama. Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 The story centers around a fern, George, that comes into his own after being bought by Brenda, a mother of two and book-club host. The House Plant, instead of fully immersing into one world, and one perspective of either humans or plants towards each other, it attempts to merge both perspectives to showcase the relationship between Brenda and George. The way that they view each other is disparate and contrasting yet unified by one emotion, friendship. Its a representation of how verbal communication isn't the most integral part of a relationship and how actions speak louder than words. The fact that Brenda cares for George and waters him everyday, compliments him shows this reciprocated affection. As for the writing style, I think that it lacked just a bit in description and vivid imagery, especially since this is a plant as the main character. I liked that George was personified and could feel everything around him but i think that the story relied a bit too heavily on that to the point where George felt more like a human trapped in a plants body. Although I understand the intention of portraying plants to be just as important as human beings, I think the allure of having a narration from an "unreliable" narrator that doesn't completely understand everything that's happening is having the reader understand through their vivid imagery and descriptions. This makes the novel or short story more interactive because it places the burden of the emotions evoked by the story onto the reader. Overall, great short story and phenomenal representation of friendship and trust. Instagram wouldn't let me write my full review because it was too long so you can check it out on my website for more detail. Link is in bio. The Houseplant is available to purchase on Amazon and is free on Kindle Unlimited! Link in @jeremyraystories bio. Two can keep a secret, can you? Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌜 4.5/5 Two can keep a secret was such an engaging, relatable(not the murder part), and thrilling murder mystery. This engrossing sequel to One of us is lying had me at the edge of my seat the entire way through. Filled with suspense and a shocking ending. I have found this to be a recurring trend in @writerkmc books. Ways filled with suspense until the very end where all suspicions collapse and the shocking truth barrels in when you're least prepared and least expect it. A truly fantastic, magnificent book which I would recommend to everyone. . . . . . . #bookblogger #bookrrcommendation #book ##books #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #summer #twocankeepasecret #raidingdays #rainyday #read #perfume #raid #love #bookphotography #booklover #bookaddict #bookobsessed #bookclub #bookgram #bookaesthetic #missmythos #coffeeandbooks #bookreview #oneofusislying #lastnight #jkrowling #demilovato #raiding https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg1lbR9sasR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Thank you @jane_book_geek for tagging me. This is my #yourchildhoodfictionalbff. Matilda is the only book which I have read about 20 times in Romanian. I adored Matilda and I wanted to be like her when I was younger. I found her story inspiring and motivational and as well as captivating and emotional. I loved how intelligent she was, her super powers, how resilient and assiduity-filled she was. I loved the idea of her in her situation, being able to escape in this way. Great book for children. I definitely recommend it. . . . . . #bookblogger #bookrrcommendation #book ##books #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #summer #twocankeepasecret #raidingdays #rainyday #read #relationships #raid #love #bookphotography #booklover #bookaddict #bookobsessed #bookclub #bookgram #bookaesthetic #missmythos #coffeeandbooks #bookreview #matilda #lastnight #jkrowling #roahldahl #raiding https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg1XRH8MA0V/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
