Indy Reads: Aw, Nuts! Graphic Novel Free Pre-Release Copy and Signing (08/16/2025)

I've found that really simple character redesign requests from DeviantArt are great morning warm-ups. These were a few requests from folks (likely kids) who'd designed their own characters and wanted to make them look like they had cartoon shows.

The "Aw, Nuts!" (Papercutz) promotional event at the American Library Association in Philadelphia is coming up this weekend, and the social media promos are here!

I've been on a full watch-through of Daria, a very well-written satire with more heart than you might think, and a breath of fresh air when it comes to balancing social criticism and not viewing the protagonist as morally unassailable. Probably one of the healthiest friendships in television history.
