Genshin Au 1/4[?]: Kaebedo space au
I love aus. I also realize that keeping my aus in my notes app, is probably, not the best idea.
So I’m just gonna drop an au of mine into this blog occasionally, and that should solve my problems. (Hopefully)
[Note: I give zero fucks about characterization. None. Zilch. Nada. I like lore, I like studying characters, but for my aus I like to rip everything in canon apart so I can write more tragic, slightly edgy angst. I’m pretty confident about this au being not mischaracterized too much, but I make no promises.
Feel free to tell me all about how my au wouldn’t work, I’d love to giggle at all the stuff I got wrong before throwing that away so I can write more angst.]
Ok, so this is a space travel au
This au is kaebedo, but it focuses on albedo, his relationship with his mother, and his brother for the most part.
The world:
Albedos planet (currently nameless) is the second or maybe third closest to the sun of its solar system. The planet itself is similar to earth, however their technology has advanced far past ours (think hovering cars, towering cities, things like that). Because of this, the upper class is built mostly of scientists, who are extremely valued in this society. It’s come to a point where the “smartest” and most influential scientist, Rhinedottir, has the power of an absolute ruler, dispite not being in politics. Not only that, but she has the media presence of a celebrity (billboards, ads, things of that nature).
However as the world goes, with a powerful upper class an impoverished lower class rises. the poor live a completely opposite life to the wealthy, with there being little to no way to rise up in the world.
Basically, it’s every sci-fi dystopia ever.
Additionally, space travel is very important in this world. It’s viewed as a great honor to explore the stars. It’s also one of the few ways the poor can move up in status, by offering to do less important, dangerous work in the vacuum of space.
Again, this is every sci-fi dystopia ever.
The characters:
Albedo:
Albedo grows up as the shining star of his planet. As the “only” son of one of the most influential scientists on his planet, he’s expected to live up to his mother’s footsteps. However like every young idealistic person on this planet, he dreams to travel among the stars.
Keaya:
[His planet is less fleshed out bc he’s not the focus. Sorry keaya. :(( ]
Keaya is the sheltered, flirtatious “prince” of his planet. He’s aware of the responsibilities he holds, but he sometimes just wants to explore, and see what else is out there, far above the sky. (He’s also pretty talented at like hoverboarding, but has like no chances to practice. This eventually becomes important when shenanigans happen)
Klee:
Klee is Albedos cousin, and she is totally kept from the public eye. While it is technically Rhinedottir’s job to take care of her, the scientist is often “too busy” and leaves Klee all alone. This has of course turned Klee into a very independent kid (although she is still just as hyperactive). Albedo usually tries to visit and take care of her when he can, making the two very close.
Sucrose:
Growing up in a large, poor family, with mountains of debt, Sucrose has always been ambitious, and she’s always looked up to Rhinedottir as her biggest role model. When she graduated high school, she managed to get into the most prestigious program on the planet, wherein people are selected to intern directly under Rhinedottirs team. Rhinedottir herself doesn’t often look in on the students, but she saw potential in sucrose, and after the program ended, she took sucrose to work directly under her.
Sucrose also dated albedo at one point (not sure where on the timeline, but she was still dating him all the way up to albedos departure, although I think I’ll have her break up with him either a little bit or long before that)
Rhinedottir:
Rhinedottir believes herself to basically be god. Shes the main antagonist and her character needs to be fleshed out more like sucrose, but right now all you need to know is that her ONLY goal is the pursuit of knowledge.
Astion:
Totally based on albedos failed twin from that one event I never played, Astion was discarded by Rhinedottir when she found out he and albedo were twins. He grew up in a far less privileged position than albedo, but like sucrose, managed to be reunited with albedo as adults.
S.U.C.R.O.S.E
(I have no idea what it stands for.)
S.U.C.R.O.S.E is the ships ai, designed by albedo after sucrose herself. She ends up being far sassier than the real sucrose ever was.
Plot:
The plot here is pretty simple.
Rhinedottir has a brand new ship that needs a pilot. It’s huge (think IGF-Atlas from voltron big), and Albedo desperately wants to be the one to pilot it. While she doesn’t actually care for status, Rhinedottir is aware that her status grants her a lot of power to continue her research uninhibited, so she’s hesitant to send her “only son” out to space in fear of being scrutinized for it. Astion offers to pretend to be albedo occasionally, and that statisfies Rhinedottir enough to let albedo go.
Albedo leaves, and Klee sneaks onto the ship without him knowing.
Eventually, he light speed travels to a different galaxy and stops at a random planet there, so he can get his bearings. He has the ship cargo door open while he does some things, and just as he closes it (from the controls at the front of the ship), Keaya zips in on his hoverboard, essentially accidentally becoming a stowaway like Klee.
Obviously all four (including S.U.C.R.O.S.E) become somewhat of a happy family, going on adventures, exploring, and lots of other fun shenanigans.
Eventually, though, albedo decides to go back to his planet. While he was gone, sucrose found out about Rhinedottir’s plan to essentially blow up their sun. Rhinedottir of course manipulates her into helping dispite the plan being utterly stupid.
Astion has of course known this entire time, and begins a sort of resistance group to try and stop Rhinedottir’s plan. Albedo decides to help, and eventually they start sneaking people into ships and flying them off the world, just in case.
Eventually, sucrose comes to her senses and joins them, helping albedo find a good planet to rebuild, just in case.
Unfortunately, the worst comes to pass and Rhinedottir starts putting her plan in motion. Realizing what’s happening, albedo runs from the ship to where she is, finding her staring into the light while laughing somewhat maniacally.
She struggles a bit when albedo starts dragging her out, but she seems to weak to do anything else. They both get really close to the ship, but it’s obvious they aren’t gonna make it.
However Astion dashes out and helps albedo drag Rhinedottir into the ship at the last moment. They fly off the planet and literally out fly the explosion. (Ik thats not possible).
More shenanigans, albedo and Keaya are cute and dating, and eventually sucrose finds Rosaria and they fall in love too.
The end.
[This entire au has a playlist where I imagined animatics for it. However I unfortunately feel just enough shame to hold off from putting it here.
Anyway, this is like my second favorite genshin au of the many I have, and maybe this will finally give me enough motivation to finish the character designs I have for this au.]

Creator!Reader with religious trauma [REWRITE]
Decided to do a rewrite of this because I reread it and it was rough. So enjoy 2700 words of reader suffering! Yay!
Warning: this is based on my own experiences with religion, specifically of the ahabramic kind. I mean no disrespect to anyone’s personal faith or beliefs.
TWS: manipulation, slavery, some light ish gore, religious trauma, sacrifice, death, mention of starving, self isolation, victim blaming from the victim, and  weird pov switching. Also completely in beta read and unedited.
also written on laptop, so some parts may be wonky.
From the sky came words crashing onto the ears of man. Man spoke those same words, and they became speeches that became chants that were fed into your ears.
You,the pillar of innocence. Wide eyes that took in all they could see. Tiny hands clenching onto anything they could grasp.
The word of God became the word of man. It twisted into the cage that held you hostage.
Your parents had told you the rules, made sure you knew not to question. They shot down your ‘why’s’ with more words. They taped your lips and gaped your ears and told you to be still. To be seen in His eyes, and never heard. They told you to shrink, to be silent, to not exist.
They locked you in His cage and told you to thank Him for it.
Though as all things are, your cage was not perfect. It had a hole. A way for you to escape, even if you had to return after a while. Games. Board games, when you were young, and video games once you were a little older. Games worked away at your mind and chipped away at that hold until it was big enough for you to escape through forever.
You were long gone when Genshin Impact came into your life. In adulthood you kept far away from Man and their Word, but in the game, you could enjoy the land of Celestial powers and Gods among men in safety behind your screen. You fell in love with each and every character, running your wallet dry with every new release. There were nights where you fell asleep with the screen before your eyes, Genshin Impact still open and running.
One of those nights became the catalyst for your future in this land.
Your dream began with stone. It lay crumbling beneath your feet, it reached to the heavens in towering pillars. It was all around you. The dark gray against the bright blue sky. The stone beneath you stretched far before you and far behind you. Alone in this familiar purgatory you waited for something. For some grand event that would justify your presence here.
Soon, you began to regret that wish. There was no sun, yet the sky darkend anyway, as if it had no reason to obry the laws of life. This place began to take shape in your memory, and your brain brought your beloved video game to theb forefrongt of your thoughts. You were sure now that this was some nightmarish verionm of the tetris effect, that somehow Genshin had infiltrated your dreams. It wasnt real though. Soon youn would wake up, and soon you would forget the crumbling stone and the cold winter air.
But even if it was not real, like you begged your mind to remember, your body trembled from staying still. So you forced yoiur numb legs to move, one step after the other. It felt like hours had gone by as you walked, one foot after the other. Surely you could stop now, right?
As if to sense your thoughts, the crumbling began. You didnt dare look behind you, because the sound was enough. Forcing your legs to move faster and faster, your clumsy stumble becoming a run.
The sound seemed to move in tandem with your feet. You searched for an exit, any way to escape this terrible fate, but your eyes only met the dark pillars and the endless open sky. All you could look at was the ever stretching road ahead, and all you could focus on was making sure you kept running.
You found it eventually. Whether you had been running for minutes or days, you didn't know. All you knew was the burn in your legs and the fire in your lungs. But you found it. The door, made of the same ever crumbling stone. An escape from your flight.
Looking back, you wished you had let yourself into the unknown. But wishes arent reality. And you knew if you had to do it again forever, yuoud dom the same thing every time. Youd hurl yourself at that door over and over, because lettingh yourself fall wouldve been a scarier fate.
Even now you remembered how cold the stone was. How hard you had to push until it gave, even though it looked like it could turn to dust any second. The way the stone finally disappeared under your feet just as the white embraced you.
                                   ﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
You expect to wake in your bed, finally free from that awful nightmare. But instead, you awake to a gentle breeze on your face. Your eyes flew open to take in the bright world around you. It was all familiar, and maybe youd forgotten it. But the unusually bright colors,  the gigantic tree that cast its shadow over you, the tiny glowing blue flies that landed on your shoulders. You couldnt have forgotten a place like this, no.
But maybe…
You stood on shaky lrgs that still seemed to burn, even though you had only ran in that dream. Walking around to the front of the statue, you clutched a hand to your mouth. A familliar stone face peered down at you.
No, you hadnt forgot. You were still dreaming after all, because it simply wasn’t possible to be transported into a game in your sleep. But something about the hard ground and the pristine, cold stone of the statue told you this wasn't a dream. This was the windrise tree.
You had truly been transported into Genshin impact.
                          ﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
The moments after that had been all but erased from your mind until you came into contact with Lisa. being heralded as a god, being cut down so they could see the golden blood bubble up from your flesh. You let it all happen, because the thought of disappointing the characters who had gotten you through such pain made you feel sick. They had gotten you through so much, so this was the least you cou;ldf do in return. And even if the thought of being a god like *it made bile rise in your throat, it couldn't possibly be that bad. It would probably all blow over anyway.
What a fool you had been. Only a fool would think it would be over after that. That you'd be ab;le to live peacefully and as you pleased. You were more suited to be a jester than a king.
People soon came streaming in from all over Teyvat to see you. To be blessed by even a glimpse of your hair or skin. They came to give you offerings, they came to beg for your forgiveness. They came to get married under you. They hauled in dead loved ones for you to bless, or worse, revive.
The knights had claimed you, and so you couldn't leave the church without an entire entourage by your side. Worst still, the archons came one by one out of the woodwork. Zhongli ( Morax, as he told you) left retirement to stay by your side eternally, as he claimed he once had. Even Venti revealed himself to the world, just to get a chance to approach you.
You were trapped in the walls of worship yet again. This time, though, you were on the other side. Your hair began to turn white from the stress.
The people said it was a miracle. You thought it was a curse. You could tell people to jump, they'd do it until exhaustion killed them. You tell them to stop, and they would crawl. The words you meant with innocence were twisted by ears and further twisted by mouth.
People died because of you. People with your eyes, your hair, your face. They all died cursing your name. Some died prasing it, hoping that maybe, you who had forsaken them would take pity on their soul. Children weren’t spared from this fate. Nobody was.
Yet still, people worshipped you. Still, people who bore your features risked their lives to see you, only to fall to their knees and beg for forgiveness, simply for the crime of looking like you.
Of course, you tried desperately to save them all. Tried to say that looking like you was a blessing, not a curse. You twisted your own thoughts into words, in a way you had seen others do as a young child.
All your efforts got you sacrifice. Children were lauded as saints and sent to you in droves. The sacrifice of a human life. A future of cold walls and eternal servitude. That was the result of your words. It took too long for it to stop. You saved some by sending them far from your church, to other nations. So they could be free from prying eyes and chiding words. But others were forever shackled to you. You had no real power, not enough to stop your aclotyes, and not enough to convince the children to turn away. Not enough to convince them that they were more than an extension of your light.
Eventually, you had to lock yourself in your room to send the message. It managed to work, because now the people needed you. It didn't matter that they had survived just fine without you before. They had you now, and that was enough to get them addicted. When you returned to the, after the children had stopped coming, they celebrated. It didn't matter that you had bags beneath your eyes and your gaze had gone distant. They had your light again, and that was all that mattered to them. They wanted you to attend sermons. They wanted you to hear them twist the ancient stories of your once favorite game world.
You went, because the thought of the sick smell of blood and rotting fruit haunted your memory.
Standing below a church built in your honor, with its shadow casting over you. All of a sudden you were a child again, trapped in a cage. This time though, the hole was patched. This time, you were never alone. Even in your private room, someone stood waiting outside the door. The only safe place was your mind, and even there, godhood waited there. Taunting you.
Sitting in a seat high above the crowd, you listened to all the drivel of the man below. Hearing them twist your words…
The room suddenly felt very small. The world narrowed down just to this man's droning voice, and the air around you turned stale, and you felt like you were being squeezed so hard you could pop. sweat formed on your brow and, more air, you needed more air. You could hear someone calling your name, no not your name, that stupid title again. They said it again and again as you tried to force your ears to fucking work.
“...Your Grace?’ there you go, you can hear. Trying to control your breathing, you look up at the person who called. You couldn't actually see who it was, your vision was too blurry. You forced your head up and down in a janky mimicry of a nod. “I was just asking if you are alright, but you seem ill..” you tried to force out words, but your traitorous mind only allowed you to shakily nod again.
A sudden hand on your shoulder makes you jump, and your vision clears just enough so you can see Zhongli standing behind you. Words claw out y=our through, and you manage to say something. “I wish to go home now”, and there's a croak in your mouth when you say it, but you don't care. The word ‘home’ feels foreign on your tongue. You haven't had a home in such a long time. But you say it anyway, because that's what they all want to hear. You ignore the murmurs and gasps as you leave. The speaker will be dead by tomorrow, and you think it serves him right for twisting your words like that. In the back of your mind, you shudder at how cruel you've become.
                          ﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
There's questions as they take you home, but you can't hear them, because you're far too busy trying to get your breathing under control and trying to quill your body to stop trembling. It's the sound of that stupid title that causes you to break.
A sob works its way out your lips, as if you'd tried to trap it in your chest. You just couldn't do it any longer, whether you were here or back home. Religion trapped you in any way it could. Now it must be vengeful, because it seemed to stop at nothing to remind you that you were just like Them. You stood by, seemingly powerless to stop the people who supposedly ‘followed’ you.every day, you watched them use your name to kill and maim. Every day, you had to look in the mirror and see Them in your reflection. You were no better than them. You just watched it all happen. You let your aclotyes worship the literal ground you walked on. The birds, the trees, the grass, they all sung your praises day in and day out.
All while you covered your ears and pretended not to hear.
Your pain turns itself into words and comes rushing out of your mouth. You n o longer cared what your ridiculous aclotyes thought. Let them gawk and stare, the only thing you care about is getting the pain  out of your chest.
You babbled and cried until you fell asleep.
                         ﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
You locked yourself in your chambers after that. It was easier than facing your followers, or having the sickly sweet smell of rotting fruit and blood bombard your senses. You couldn’t eat or sleep, you just sat next to the barred window and stared out of the world you ‘created’. How could a creation of yours be so cruel? How could it treat you like this? Why? What had you ever done wrong? All you did was try to be kind. All you did was try to be good. Yet you were alone. And forsaken by those who claimed to follow you.
There was a knock on the door. You didn’t say anything from your bed. You didn’t even get up. You didn’t need to. They would come in anyway, no matter what the issue was. Sometimes they would just barge into stare at you. Sometimes they would kneel your feet. Like you guessed, Zhongli opened your door and walked in. You had to keep a scowl off your face. Zhongli was incessant, claiming himself to be your favorite just because you remembered your past incarnation from his youth.
You hated him a healthy amount.
He kneeled at the side of your bed, his eyes to the floor, and you waved your hand. Anything he said, you’d listen. Not as if you had a choice.
“Your Grace-“ Zhongli began, “on behalf of me and all your loyal acolytes, I would like to apologize for our actions.”
At that you perked up. Perhaps they might actually listen to you this time. Maybe you would be granted freedom, away from this stuffy grand cathedral. You stared at Zhongli, waiting for his next words. Hoping desperately that freedom would come.
“We… We did not give you the fullest extent of our praise and worship. It seems that it made you feel adequate as our God and that is completely unacceptable.”
The world seemed to slow down around you.
What a fool you were. What a fool to think that man could understand. The shaking set in again, and you could barely hear Zhonglis speech over the ringing in your ears.
“Do not worry your grace. You will get the appreciation you deserve.”
The smell of rotting fruit and blood came from right outside your door. What a terrible fool you were.
                         ﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌

Interacting with media with young kids is so weird, because you don’t know if you’re gonna get an actual kid or a toddababykid.
(This is specifically about batman fanfiction, but applies to all media)

Another world.
Part two,yay!
Slight gore warning!
Gone. His entire livelihood is gone. His home is gone. His family, friends, everyone. Everyone but her. Her safety came above his,she had to stay alive at all costs.
Walking through the familiar forest, weaving through the thick foliage. You travel through this quiet world. Not a sound in the air,not even a gust of wind. Darkness lurks in every corner, under every bush and leaf. Finally, you make it to the place where leaves turn to rock, where grass yields to stone.
Turning around one last time, you look at the slowly closing Sumeru. What happened here? Who wrote that warning?
The dark greens and greys and blues and blacks of the forest transfix you,and you can’t look away, even as your feet move backwards. Your stupor is broken by something soft under your shoe.
It’s another notebook. You pick it up,flipping through it. It’s longer this time.
“We’re out now. We are mostly unscathed, but she’s scared now. I admit I was a bit snippy, trying to get her out,but this is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Everyone is gone, nothing is familiar. The akedemyia was no help,as expected. But even they’re gone now.
We’re heading to liyue. It’ll be safe as we try to navigate this new problem. At least, that’s what I can hope. I need help,I can hardly do this on my own. “
There’s another page after that, this time it’s messy and scrawled in handwriting worse than in the first note.
“It’s not safe here either. I don’t know how it spread here but it did and we need to run.
Liyue is not safe.
One of them got me,but she’s safe. As long as she’s safe,I can do this. As long as she’s ok,I’m willing to die.
I’ll be ok,there’s no point in panicking.
[There’s a note at the bottom,in big, hastily scribbled letters.]
This is a warning to any and all sumeru survivors.
Liyue is not safe.
I don’t think anywhere is.”
You drop the unsigned book to the floor, hearing wailing coming from below. Carefully,in fear of what you may find, you climb down the broken, rickety wooden figure. What it had once been, you weren’t sure. The underneath of it was the interest anyway.
There’s a man there. Propped up on some rocks, with his eyes glased over. The wailing comes from his wide open mouth. His jaw was hanging from his face by a bone. His eyes are wide, and they look at you. It feels like he’s looking past you, through your clothes and through your skin. He couldn’t see you. Or at the very least,he didn’t know he was seeing you.
The wailing grows louder.
The body of this man, covered in moss and twirling vines, was worn and red. His arms were covered in scratch marks. Blood pooled from them like a waterfall, falling down the arm and onto the floor below.
What was this?
The wailing grows louder.
Who was this? What was their story, why were they sitting like this? What had happened to them..?
The wailing grows louder.
The wailing grows louder.
The wailing grows louder.
Run.
You need to run.
The wailing grows louder.
Your feet take you far. Far away from the man, away from Sumeru. You didn’t know this place, didn’t know where you were going, but your feet take you there anyway.
When you finally make it out of that stone graveyard, when your feet finally land on soft ground, you look up.
Liyue is not safe.
The wailing grows louder.

A new world
A new world, familiar in its own right. That’s where you are. You know this place, don’t you? You know this deep forest, don’t you? You know these sounds and sights.
You do. But why can’t you remember? And why does it all feel so…different?
Exploring your surroundings is your only real option. So you do. You walk and walk and walk until your feet ache and you’re sweating a bit from all the movement. But you don’t stop. Slowly, this place comes back to you. Slowly, you remember.
Until you come across an odd scene, one that doesn’t feel familiar at all, even in the deep recesses of your memory.
On the forest floor, laid falling off the top of a large protruding root, there’s a book, laid upside-down. Picking it up shows you a page with roughly scribbled text in smudged black ink. It’s barely readable, but you can make out what it says at least,so you begin to read.
“xx-xx-???
We’re going to have to leave Sumeru soon. The forests can only keep me and her safe for so long, and I think she’s starting to catch on to my worry. She knows a little, but not a lot,and I'd like to keep it that way.
Even if just for her sake.
Regardless, the virus is spreading fast, and leaving sumeru might be our only option for safety. The forest is starting to become affected by the virus, and It’s starting to become infectious. I’m going to take her to leave tonight. Maybe we head to Liyue,or maybe we head to Mondstadt. Whatever we do,we cannot stay here.
I miss (there’s a smudge here, blocking out a large piece of text. It seems like water dropped on the paper) …but I can handle this alone,I hope. It’s just me and (another smudge. The name is illegible.) against the world now. “
There’s no name at the bottom, but there is a small, hastily scribbled note,as if left as an afterthought.
“I’m not sure who I’m writing this for,but if you read this, you must leave Sumeru. It’s not safe. Run. As fast as you can.”
The panic is evident in the writer's handwriting. But the question lies for you, what happened here? Where do you go?
And why…why is everything so quiet?

The Fool.
Part 3 of "guilt of the masses"!!
Ft: Furina
[Hey I'm back and better than ever!! Took a break from SAGAU,but I'm back to writing for it,and expect longer fics too!!
I'll also probably be posting more Twisted wonderland nowadays, including a couple fics I've been working on!
I hope yall like this addition to the series!]
tw: execution
To fool the heavenly principles was to fool yourself.
This was something Furina took to heart as she played God for 500 years.
So when the Creator descended, when everyone began to ridicule and hunt them down as an "imposter",Furina did nothing. After all, she was an imposter as well, so who was she to judge this "Fake creator"?
Fontaine oversaw your trial once you were caught, and Furina had a front row seat to the show. It had taken so long to catch you, so long that her performance had recently finally ended. She watched from the top of the courts, high above everyone and everything. Recent events had her nervous to be there, but she had to at least see the outcome. At the very least she had to witness how her nation treated other imposters.
There were some fontainians who still respected her, after all. But still many held contempt in their hearts for her performance. And this "fake" was not fontainian. They were not even from Tevyat!
So she felt that she must watch. That she had to see it all go down.
You were found guilty, and Furina felt her heart drop to her shoes. It was hardly a fair, true trial. It seemed as if the "trial" was nothing but a courtesy. And when the sentence was pronounced,Furina was taken back to that fateful last dance.
The death sentence.
They were going to kill you, just as they had tried to do to her.
Looking back,Furina wished she'd done more. She wished she had stopped the trial, done something, anything to spare your fate. But she did nothing but watch.
It was nothing like her execution. It was done with a golden polearm,in the hands of one of the original 7 archons.
A title she long abandoned.
And as the blade came to your neck,Furina couldn't help but close her eyes. But then there was a clatter, and a gasp.
Furina peeked open her eyes then, only to see the blade covered in shimmering golden blood, the same liquid flowing from the cut on your neck. It should've been impossible for her to see all that from her position. But she opened her eyes and it was as if that was all she could see.
Furina realized that that was the true creator of the world. The creator of her creator.
And they were beautiful.
Furina did not live with her fellow acolytes, nor did she interact with them. She preferred her life alone, finally away from the spotlight. There was still a bubbling guilt at the bottom of her gut. The same feeling of helplessness she felt for 500 years. The knowledge that she could have done something to help someone, to help the creator; who was in a situation just like her, made her sick to her stomach.
Her worship ramps up after that. Before, she never worshiped you at all, believing that she had to fool you as she was fooling herself, and even a sliver of worship would give her away. But after that, she prays to you whenever she can, in hopes that maybe, you will hear her apologies.
That maybe, you'll forgive her inaction.
And maybe you'd forgive her lies as well.
But will you? Will you choose to forgive her? Or will you ignore her pleas?
The choice is yours "Creator".

Mutuals get a lot of love on this site but I think we should also appreciate the random followers who you see in your notes regularly. The ones who you'll probably never end up following but they like and reblog almost every post you make. The ones who you see and go "hey I recognize that person!! they love my posts!" every time they show up in your notifications.
Let's hear it for Blorbo from my Notes.

Prologue
The official prologue is finally done! I'm so happy to start this fic officially. As of current the plan is to post a chaper of this fic every Friday on here, and every other Friday on Ao3. So the fic will be mostly done here, however it may be more detailed/longer over on ao3 due to it being easier for me to format it there.
Thank you all for your patience as I slowly grind this out as best I can.
Kaeya found it first. He didn't know how he had gotten there, or why he was there, but he was alone in an empty room with only a desk. A desk with a strange book sitting on it's surface. He had opened the book, not really knowing what to expect.
Whatever he had expected, it for sure wasn't the contents that lay within the book. It spoke of other worlds,of a false sky,of people who treated this land like a simple game. It spoke of code,of control.
Keaya went crazy in that room. At first,he refused to believe it was real. But after what felt like days and weeks trapped in this hell, all he could do was read the pages of the book, over and over and over again. It taunted him. With its pages filled with information he had never wanted to know.
Now that he knew,he couldn't go back. This world isn't real? He isn't real? He had begun to wonder what was truly real and what was not. Was this really the truth? If this world isn't real, than what is?
He questioned his supposed "freedom",he questioned his relationships,he questioned his own past, and his own future. What did life mean? If he wasn't real,if he wasn't free, than what was he? What did he stand for? What did he fall for?
These questions were all he thought about. These questions would be all he thought about for a very long time.
Kaeya leaned against the bright wall of the room. He stared at the book,it's pages taunting him from afar. He didn't understand. He wasn't real?! His entire life was a lie. Everything he had gone through, every achievement, was just a lie. His mouth became numb as a bitter taste overflowed his senses. It matched the way he felt about this entire ordeal. Bitter. Bitter about his life, bitter about this world. It was all fake. His "freedom" wasn't real. He was just a puppet for some entity that wanted to play God. He wanted out. He wasn't sure how he was going to do it,but he was going to escape.
Keaya pushed off the wall and walked towards the exit. He took one last glance at the book before leaving the room. He was ready to leave. So he did, leaving the room that had caused some of the worst internal torment that he had ever faced.
He emerged back on Tevyat with only one goal in his mind. Escape.
When he was finally let go,those questions plagued him for a long time. They lingered in his mind, never leaving, always the front and center of his thoughts.
Soon after he had managed to leave,he had been controlled by a strange entity. They had puppeted him around, using him for various tasks. At first he hated the entity. Despised it even. He hated the way they had taken away his free will, hated being controlled.
He hated how he couldn't even talk to the other "vessels", because they didn't seem to remember being controlled. At that moment at least. After a while however,as more joined him in awareness, his hatred seemed to to fade into pure apathy. While others worshipped you, worshiped your very existence,he simply ignored you. A part of him still hated you. Still loathed having to be hyper-aware of when you would control him again. A part of him still hated how he had to make way for your unpredictable schedule of control.
Now,however,he preferred to pretend he had no idea of what this world truly was.
How he hated you. But he couldn't make anyone aware of that fact. Because, unfortunately, you were his only chance at escape. You were his ticket out, and he'll be damned if he lets this opportunity slip away. Kaeya was going to leave this false world, one way or another. If he had to die,so be it. If that was the price to pay for freedom,Keaya was willing to pay it tenfold.
It had been weeks. Although it felt like it had been months.
Weeks since he had started to look for ways to escape, and he had found absolutely nothing. It had taken him so long, other people had began to realize the control of the entity. However, they didn't understand. The all praised the thing, calling it a God. It made them stronger, they said. Its presence felt warm. That's what they told him. Keaya knew that they were coping with the forceful seizure of their freedom, but they didn't have to lie to themselves. He didn't understand what they gained out of fooling themselves like this.
His life had been turned upside down with a single book. He wished he'd just ignored it. What's worse,he had begun to feel these strange symptoms.
Massive headaches that enveloped his entire head with pain, nausea, dizziness. He had gone to a doctor, but to no avail. No one could figure out what was wrong. He also began to have these vivid dreams of a life that wasn't his. They were only little flashes, but still, they were prominent. And vivid. He was basically experiencing it.
He tried to live his life as normal. But he couldn't. He had been acting differently and everyone knew it. He had begun showing up to the Favonius headquarters late. He had developed awful eyebags, and he was getting worse and worse at being observant.
He spent every night searching for answers to lead him out of this prison. Then one evening,as he headed home from the tavern, the pain had come to a head. He fell to the floor, clutching his forehead with both hands as he clenched his teeth. The pain was unbearable, like someone had crawled into his skull and set his brain on fire. His eyes watered, and he couldn't see anything. He stumbled back to his feet, wobbling towards his house.
Every step felt like he was impaling his feet on rusty blades, every sway of his body made the invisible flames engulfing him burn brighter. His throat was starting to burn as well,as if someone had poured acid into his mouth and forced him to swallow. When he finally reached his door,he leaned against it,fumbling to find his keys, almost dropping them several times.
When he finally was able to get in,he went straight to his bed and collapsed onto it. He had managed to power through the pain, but his body couldn't take it anymore as he fell unconscious in his bed. Somewhere, far under the ground you and I walk on,a rope snapped.
Then he woke up.
In a bed that wasn't his own.
In a house that wasn't his own.
What the hell happened?!?
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>
He woke up completely disoriented. He blearly looked around, realizing that this wasn't his home. It was a place completely unfamiliar to him. He got up to his feet unsteadily, carefully looking around. This was the place from his dreams…that meant…
He was free!!
Kaeya Alberich, previously stuck in a fake world, was now free! Finally able to do whatever he truly wanted. In his glee,he passed a mirror. He backed up to get a better look at his reflection.
Oh shit.
This wasn't his body.
What was he going to do? He had to live as this person now. Although…they looked just like the person he was in his dreams.
Maybe this wouldn't be so hard.
After doing some exploring, learning about this unfamiliar (but real!) world, the first thing he did was destroy the devices that the…entity had used to control him. He had grabbed a large book and smashed it to bits in blind rage. All he had to do now was figure out how to live in this strange new world,in a body that wasn't his.
…and what he was going to do with his new found freedom. Freedom!! Keaya squealed a little at that thought.
After so long living a lie,Keaya wasn't really sure how to live the truth. He would figure it out though. He always did.
It was strange at first. Figuring out how exactly he was to live as someone else,in a world completely unlike his own. He got used to it quickly however. Work, friends, family. All of them were easy enough to get familiar with. It only took a little observation, and that was one thing he specialized in. Sure, the people in his new life were a little suspicious of the sudden "change in behavior",but it was easy enough to deter them from digging further. It was also quite hard to deal with the constant comments about things this person had done in the past. 'I forgot' had become Keaya's new favorite saying.
He'd been living like this for months,in peace. That was, until he heard a knock at his door.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Straring back at him were the cool blue eyes of his own body. Keaya stumbled back,a scowl painting itself on his face.
The one in his body, however, had began to panic. "Who are you?? And why are you in my body??" They had began shouting, and from what keaya could see, they had begun hyperventilating. As much as he didn't want too,he pulled the person inside, shushing them.
"The neighbors might hear you." He said harshly. It felt odd looking at his own body like this, and it felt even weirder to scold it. He sat them down on the couch, grabbing a chair for himself and putting it across from the couch, sitting down on it.
They sat in silence for a long time, the person beginning to calm down a bit. After a long stretch of uncomfortable silence,Keaya spoke.
"Explain." He demanded, narrowing his eyes at them.
Their hands trembled, and they were hesitant to start. But a glare from keaya had them talking. "I-I woke up in Tevyat,in your body." They peered up at him,and he nodded for them to keep going.
"I…it took a while to adjust to the new world." They gulped, seemingly fearful of keayas gaze."I believe I never truly fooled anyone, and it soon became too much." They said, pausing again to look up at keaya, who simply glared at them to remind them to keep going.
They continued on. "So…I ran. Your vision was already seemingly dead,as I couldn't really use it. So I left it on the desk in your office and took off into Mondstadts wilderness with the excuse of going to patrol the area." The imposter eyes glazed over as they continued to speak. "It wasn't easy. I didn't know anything about defending myself, and it seemed like everything was out to kill me. A bit after I had fled the city of Mondstadt,I stumbled across a large, scary entrance to a domain of some sort. I knew it was a bad day but…" the imposter looked at him with that mile yard stare. "I had to do something. So I went inside. That was the biggest mistake of my life."
The rest of the imposters story was a blur. Keaya learned things he never knew, things he never thought he'd know. But the most important thing was that They had escaped. All his research had gone down the drain, because they had managed to do what he couldn't figure out. It didn't matter though, because now they sat in front of Keaya, in his body. They had explained it all, from how they faked "his" death to how they had escaped through the Abyss. All that work, just for them to escape through the one place he never thought to check. How ironic.
He didn't want to let them stay. He pushed them right out the door and told them to find their own way. Keaya was really tempted to just kill them. No one would know anyway.
…however,he doesn't want to end up in any trouble. That would mess up his carefully curated new life. So he couldn't kill them. Great. Justtt great.
But then they came right back and simply begged him to let them stay. The annoying little thing simply wouldn't leave him alone after that. He could've just kicked them out, but… a part of him grew fond of them. He didn't want to throw them out. And as he grew closer to them,he realized that his hatred was misguided to an extent. He still didn't like them, but he realized now that they had no way to know of the suffering he had to go through. Whether or not they cared was a different story.
However, life was good. He was happy with this arrangement,to a certain extent.
If he could go back,he'd tell himself to escape while he still could.
Nothing bad was happening.
If he had known what would happen to them,he would have gone back.
He was well adjusted.
Everything that happened could be attributed to his selfishness.
What could happen to ruin this? Keaya really couldn't see anything bad that could happen.
That was his first mistake.

I am so excited for fontaine. I will definitely be writing lots of sagau content for it (as well as maybe some non sagau content I'll be putting on my...eventual non sagau blog)
neuvillette is about to be my most favorite character.
I also heard some people comparing Fontaine to Alice in wonderland, and I absolutely agree. So expect o see some ideas of that kind.
