Dim's Mixtape Linear Notes [The Rest]
You Wish I Was Normal
I wrote this song in grade school. I finally got around to re-writing this song this year. I knew I was a little different from others. I might have been crazy growing up. I fell in love with rap. This is my anthem for being a little abnormal.
AKA
This song was based on an idea of playing with different alter egos. The whole concept of the song is to separate Dim from Tim. The dark side is Dim. The light side is Mit. Tim is in the middle. There's many Eminem references because Dim Tim was based on the wild lyrics of Em.
Surface
Surface is a song about the outer layer. Dim is just a façade. The upper crust of lyrics is where Dim sits. This explains why Dim doesn’t go deep with his lyrics.
Dance Nightmare
I had this idea to make this song during a school dance. My middle school would have dances every spring and Halloween. I never had a date for one. I had a few ideas for lyrics during the dance. I wrote them down on my phone. When I rewrote the song, I made it about Alexis. I asked her to the 8th grade dance and she never responded.
Don't Mess with Dim
This is just me playing around with Dim. Back in my youth, Dim would diss anyone. He even made a song dissing everyone in his class for fun. This is a statement track.
Alexis
This song is discussing the whole Alexis situation. I made a few songs dissing her. And I made one very inappropriate track about her. This isn't a diss track. I understand why she never responded.
Poison Ivy
This is a song I made since Dim had a song about Harley Quinn. I made a song about Catwoman. The Poison Ivy track was fun to make.
My Twisted Love Song
This is a song about two predators who got me to have virtual sex on Nick.com. I talk more about it on Secret Survivor. I am going to make a full book on the situation at a later date. Laura and Tiffany were the names of the predators. It is a real bad situation.
The Straw
This song introduces a new mixtape called Therapy. I am going to make that album after my double album is complete. I am thinking of making it a spoken word, almost a conversation piece between myself and a fake therapist. That's in the future. I will end this with the hope of finishing my big picture of projects.

Dim's Mixtape Linear Notes [1 Song at a Time]
Horror Flick
This song is based on an unwritten mixtape that Dim was going to make. The idea was to discuss horror movies. Each song would be based on a different movie.
Dim Tim sees a horror movie in my book. In the original outline, he would become a serial killer. I rewrote the book because I thought the change from killer to religion teacher wasn't plausible.

Dim's Mixtape Linear Notes [1 Song at a Time]
Forget Ciara 2
This song was on my bucket list of remakes. The original song was called F**k Ciara 2 ft Supertimod. The concept was an argument between my Dim character and Supertimod (the original alter ego).
Some elements of the split personality are on the track still. I didn't go too deep into the concept like I did the first time. I wanted to make this song again for the longest time, but I had no project to put it on. Once the idea of a Dim tape came up, I knew I had to make this song again.

Dim's Mixtape Linear Notes [1 Song at a time]
Blast the Past
The intro of this album is called Blast the Past. This was the name of my first mixtape I made in 2011. It was never released. A newer version is on my site under my Pop Hits Label.
The concept of the original album was based around dissing my ex. Also many other things about my past were being put on blast. Back in the day, I would curse and use instrumentals of songs I liked.
Dim's Mixtape is a collection of songs based on titles of songs I made as Dim Tim. The only two original songs were Poison Ivy and The Straw. I will go indepth with the reason they are on here when I talk about those songs.

The Concept of Ten Homage Album
I was inspired by Pearl Jam to make this record. It was originally going to be a rock record. I decided later to go in a pop direction.
The concept is ten stories about ten different people. I took tracks from older projects and made them pop.
This is a tight ten track album. “Front Page” was originally going to be a trilogy track. I made my part one years ago but never released it. I may record soon and release it on a future album. Look out for Bad Role Model if it ever is made. The third track is up in the air. I had never written it. I was going to call it Episode and put it on a mental health album.

How Walk into the Light Formed?
I told the story of my first album before. I talked about how it came about from mixtapes I was making at the time. I decided to take a little from each tape and make my own beats.
I have been reflecting a lot recently. I lost the motivation to record. I decided to create more content based on my writing. Today, I will share the origins of each song on the Walk Into the Light Album.
The album kicks off with two original tracks. “Feed the Right Wolf” was a freestyle I recorded walking home one day. I reworked it into an opening track. I was inspired by this site I found trying to quit porn. The site centered around this idea of the story of two wolves. I would run with this idea in later projects.
The second original song was Deep Hatred. I cut this song from the original release of Walk Into the Light. There's many versions of the album. The first one I ever released only had 15 of the 22 tracks I wrote. I decided not to release Deep Hatred because of the message. I wasn't as open as I am now with my work. It was a deep track that I didn't want to share.
Vice City started as a Dim Tim track. I wrote it for no particular album or mixtape. It was supposed to end on the fourth verse where I allude to suicide. I decided to add the final verse of leaving Vice City when I made it a Mit M J Rips song. It would later spawn tracks on later albums. I always really liked the original.
Sinner was an interlude that I added a chorus to. I was inspired by Kendrick Lamar to make my own interlude. I added verses later on to make it a full song.
Asmodeus was a song for Complete Honesty 3. I fucking loved that song. I had a J Cole beat that fit perfectly. I remade the beat and added this song to the album. Asmodeus is the demon known for lust. I read about him and decided to shape a song around the myth.
Alone was made for Complete Honesty extended play. I wrote it because I felt abandoned by my middle school friends. This would be one of my earliest Mit M J Rips songs.
4 A M is a song I made for Relapse Too. Originally, that album was all about overcoming porn. I wrote this song as my own version of 3 A M by Eminem.
New Life was also on Complete Honesty. When I say that I mean the mixtape not the new Complete Honesty I wrote years later. This introduced people to my new name. It was one of the few songs people really liked.
Dim No More was originally one verse. I made it for Complete Honesty. It was the closing track. Until, the mixtape wouldn't upload and then it became the second to last track. It was my statement that Dim Tim was over.
Sight was on Complete Honesty 2 Legend of Dim. It was originally a song based on Rap God’s beat. I opened with “Angels fight with devils. Here is what they want from me.” I used Rap God’s beat and had fun writing this track.
The Vision was originally on a project called Discerning. I texted the lyrics to my crush at the time. Originally, the song was for her. I rewrote it to be about Mary. The story of the track is true. Praying before Mass one morning, I saw her face.
Unmasked came from Complete Honesty. I had a sample of Nocturnal Rainbows by Hopsin. I added the final long verse to replace the Hopsin bit. It signals the start of the end for Dim Tim. Dim was known for wearing a mask. What that means literally or metaphorically is up to you.
Rise Above was made for this album. I read about how one person liked this song called Rise Above. I wanted to make my own version so I made this.
Washing My Eyes was another Complete Honesty 3 track. I wanted to write a song about cleaning my sight. I saw so many explicit things. I talk about looking lustfully at a girl and damn I still feel this song.
Good Samaritan was on the discerning record. It is based on the story from the Bible of the same name. I place myself in it. Everyone thinks they are the good Samaritan but sometimes you are the poor man.
Life Over Death was on Complete Honesty. It was a late night confession. At points, it reads like a suicide note. I think it is the most honest piece I have ever written. I hope the message hits home. I added a disclaimer before the track because I no longer feel the track represents me anymore.
King was on Discerning. It is my favorite chorus. I really don't have much to say. I declare kingship over my life. I no longer feel trapped by my demons.
Butterfly was also on Discerning. It is based on To Pimp a Butterfly. That album came out before Discerning. It also has to do with the Butterfly effect.
Instrument was a duet with a Salesian brother named Steve. We made the song to perform in a concert. That version was never recorded. We both did one verse and I kept the chorus he came up with. I made three extra verses when he couldn't record his own.
Journey was a song I wrote during this time making Walk into the Light. It was added back into Walk into the Light. It describes my Journey to rapping about God. It tells the story of how I got my first performance with Brother Steve.
Saints Wearing Jeans was on Discerning. I based this on a quote from the Pope. He called for normal people to become saints. He wanted the next Saint to wear regular clothes.
Walk into the Light was on Complete Honesty 3. It actually was two songs initially. The first two verses were called Mother. That is why I talked about Mary in the first two verses. The second part was called Heart On Fire. I took those two songs and made them Walk into the Light. Mother had Spacebound as the beat. Heart On Fire had a different outro and chorus based on This Little Light of Mine.

Stuck
This song is about my experience voting this year. Usually, I just write in a candidate in protest of both parties. This year, I felt compelled to vote for one of the main candidates.
This was the hardest choice I ever had. I wrote a song about the experience.
Now, we stuck with a bad president. I hope he proves me wrong, but I felt the need to write this song.
This was my first political song in a while. It might only be my second one. I hope America remains the land of the free. Keep stepping!

Women in my Music
Ciara is my first girlfriend. I dissed her because we broke up via text. She was the first person I would write both love and diss songs about.
Cristina is a singer from my middle school. I had a huge crush on her. I remixed one of her songs called Better Day. That's why I call her the Better Day Girl.
Chelsea is a fictional character named after the song “Chelsea” by Stefy. She became a nun after giving birth to a child. Before that, she was a hooker in Vice City.
Penny is a person I met in the mental hospital. I don't know if she was real. I haven't explored her life yet in music. I will make more music about her soon.
Lucy is a female version of the devil. I adopted this name from To Pimp a Butterfly. I like having a female devil because of my demons. I battle lust.
Sky is a crush I had in high school. She told me she wanted a fairy tale relationship. I would write songs based on fairy tales for her.
Sabrina is also a girl I had a crush on during high school. I called her the Teenage Witch on the album of the same name.

My next project before the visual album will be a double album. I am currently writing that album now. The first half will come out then the second half will be posted at a later date.
Dim Tim has two novels based on my original idea for the character also on my website to read.

Dare to Be Born Again Catholic Linear Notes
I dare you. I double dog dare you. I triple dog dare you.
God dared me to be open for this album. I prayed every day. Putting on some meditative music, I listen carefully to him. This project is a new era of Mit. Listening closely, I began sharing my ideas with a higher power.
I always wanted to not quit. I just don't feel happy if I'm not making music. Sometimes, I feel like I want to be a private person and only make music for myself. These periods are short.
I could write to beats I like without fear of copyright. But I feel compelled to share so I never went down that road. I feel like a constant energy that makes me feel the need to share.
I make the beats by myself. I know very little about music theory. I know very little about the production at all. I keep the music simple, because the lyrics hold the power. I tried being a spoken word artist, but I missed the song structure.
Returning to music was a big process. I went in a pop direction right before this album. I call that period the curse of Exit Light.
Exit Light was the last rap project I made before Dare to Be Born Again Catholic. I had many ideas to branch off from Exit Light.
Each attempt at an album failed. I decided to toss out rap for months. I began transforming rap tracks into pop tracks.
Something in me wanted a big return to rap.
This album I had a plan. I wrote down a tracklist and stuck to it. The last time that worked for me was Renewal and Shadows. I decided to have a loose concept for this record. It is very similar to Renewal.
Like Renewal and Shadows, this album was a reintroduction from me. I thought of changing my name like I did during the Renewal time.
For Renewal, I went by my real name Timothy Morgan. I decided to keep Mit MJ Rips because that was the name of the YouTube channel I post under.
My other belief was this music had to be written in a state of grace. I went to confession before writing. That lasted a couple days before I relapsed into sin. By the end of the album, I decided to make some music in sin. Tracks like Catwoman are inspired by that lust.
While writing in not a state of grace, I put out a bunch of teaser tracks. These 1 minute one verse songs were made as a lyrically exercise. The Teaser Mixtape is a bunch of small songs trying to sample my sound for the new album.
Mit MJ Rips has officially rebooted. I decided not to chase the past and only release new stuff. All my old writings are going to come out as shorts down the road. I began recording some classics that I will post on YouTube shorts and TikTok.
The website is getting an overhaul. I released some books there already. I also made an announcement of my first project on it.
The announcement plays on this theme of Truth or Dare. I always love messing around with themes of truth. One link was titled Truth. It brings you to a page where I say to be honest I'm working on an album.
If you pick dare, it will reveal the title of the album.
Here is a Bible quote about my album. The reborn concept is strictly biblical. I'm a born again Catholic.
John 3:3-7
[3] Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” [4] Nicodemus said to him, “How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother’s womb and be born again, can he?” [5] Jesus answered, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit. [6] What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit. [7] Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’
I am currently writing my first memoir focusing on music. I want to publish it for my fifteenth anniversary. That's next year.
Dare to be Born Again Catholic is inspired by Daredevil from Marvel. There is a famous graphic novel called Born Again which I read years ago.
I liked the idea of being born again as a Catholic. We get reborn each time we receive a Sacrament. I cannot wait to share my new self with videos.
Born Again Catholic was a series of tracks I wrote based on each sacrament I received. I posted all four parts as music videos on my channel. They are Baptism, Confession, Communion, and Confirmation.
The first track is a glimpse of my relationship with God. I feel we are now on the same page. He helped me write so many songs. I feel some of them we butt heads but now I feel like we are on the same page. It also is a nod to my time spent as a writer. I am going to share most of my writing in a book called Complete Honesty.
Prayer for Purity is a skit that I will replay as a daily prayer. My road to purity was not easy. I struggled with lust for so long. It blended into this album too. I am going to be honest on this record and documentary. As time passes, I am going to change for the better.
Mary Help of Christians is a track I teased with a video called Mary Help of Christians Lost Verse. I made this lost verse one Sunday during Church. I decided to release it as a teaser.
Somebody on tiktok who was anti Catholic responded. I made a track in response called Community of Saints. The initial title was Pagan since he called me Pagan but I changed the title to more reflect the content.
Mary Help of Christians is the crux of my first actual religious song. I released Walk into the Light recently and that song inspired this one.
My Motto is my second single from this album. I wrote it with the idea of school mottos. My grammar school's motto was live Jesus. I wanted to create my own motto. In the past, my motto was, “Life is full of problems. I don't make them mine.”
Now, my motto is I carried a turkey through Vietnam. A statement which came from word salad originated in my mental health journey. I am going to release so much content in May about my struggles with mental illness. I wrote a book which is on my site about my whole time in the hospital. This motto means I survived a difficult task.
Stakes was one of the few tracks which I believe should be parental advised. I wanted to raise the stakes. And I said things out of line with being a Catholic. I used those words to raise the stakes. I feel some of my content isn't for everybody so why worry about what I say.
Lucy’s Game is a short two verse track. The reason I chose this song to be on the album is because of the placement. It's the sixth song. Lucy is a name I used for the devil. It originated on To Pimp a Butterfly. I decided to use this name in my own music. I kinda like this name for Lucifer because Satan and the devil are too masculine. I like that my demons are female due to my past with porn addiction.
Józef's seventh track is a brief interlude. Józef is my Saint Character. I got the name from a World War 2 Saint. His name was Jozef Kowalski. He was a Salesian Saint that was assigned as my Saint during my brief time with the Salesian order.
I took Joseph, the foster father of Jesus as my Confirmation name in the seventh grade. I decided to release music under this name. Most of the songs under this name are sung, but I recently changed that since I hate my singing voice.
This might be an opening to return to a singing album down the road. For my 15th anniversary, I am going to work on making music videos for my pop tracks. I got a list of ideas that I will work on.
Born Again Catholic started as a series of tracks based on the sacraments. In November, I uploaded all those original songs.
This new song has a verse for each sacrament I received which are Baptism, Confession, Communion, and Confirmation. These old songs inspired the name of this album. I love this series and I hope to add to it if I get married.
Catwoman is inspired by a movie I shouldn't have watched. I took lines from that movie and mixed them in the lyrics. I won't give any other hints to promote that video. I feel bad that I consumed that media. This song is not supposed to glorify those types of videos.
I explore this fantasy I have on the record. The idea of being seduced really simulates me. Probably a product from my past influences me.
The Dare is based on a fictional game of truth or dare. Sometimes, I need that push to allow myself to escape my comfort zone. This track may play into my next album also. I might reference it on my next project.
Holy Water is a spiritual track. I use Holy Water every chance I get. The idea of purifying myself is healing. This track brings back the idea of God that the last two tracks shied away from.
The Light Continues is a skit that has a great meaning. In 2023, I made an album titled Exit Light. That was going to be the last of a series of albums. This created a curse which I couldn't break. Every project I made after Exit Light failed to be completed. It took me to reinvent myself to make a new album.
One More Night is a transition track. This track is going to lead into my next year project based on a night of sin. I won't mention the name of the next album. This will come out in late 2025. After Dim's Mixtape, I am making an album based on sin. That's all I will say.

Future Content on Tim’s Notebook
I decided to revive my second channel Tim’s Notebook. There, I am going to post my first audiobook I Carried A Turkey Through Vietnam on October 10th. This is the official mental health awareness day. I am going to slowly add audiobooks to that channel. Halloween, I might release The Legend of Dim, followed by the sequel Dim the Man Inside Tim.
In the next blog post, I will talk about I Carried a Turkey Through Vietnam in detail. It is one of my favorite projects that I completed. It is the first memoir I have ever written. It means a lot, and I am going to share why next week once the audiobook releases.
Next year, I am going to post a monthly update series called A Creative’s Diary. I am going to do in-depth with the projects I am working on. This doesn’t mean I am going to stop posting to this blog.
Another project I am going to post on my second channel is Beyond The Lyrics. This series will involve me talking about my headspace and trials of writing some of my favorite pieces.
I am also going to add poetry books to my YouTube Channel. I am going to release them as documents on my website and text to speech videos on my secondary channel.
I am still planning to record the songs into a single verse series starting next year. I am working on recording them now. Right now, I have about 180 verses recorded. I am going to try and make them relatable for the time they release. For example, my mental health verses will come out in May.
I am also working on a documentary about my first new rap album. I am planning on making that video after the album releases in late 2024.

Studio Sessions
Between writing albums, I find I have all these small ideas that don't fit the album proper. I want to work on these in conjunction with an album.
The Teaser Mixtape is really the studio sessions for my next untitled project. All those songs were short, but I began writing full-length songs for the next studio sessions.
Some of my studio sessions for the next tape are already on YouTube. The Dim Sheep and the Dim Light are two. I felt like I wanted to tease the future ahead of time. I also wanted to keep the Dim Tim name with my music.
I am focusing on other ventures outside of music, too. I have two projects I am working on. The first is a creative guide similar to Rick Rubin's book. The second is a fictional tale that I will share closer to its release.
The 15th year anniversary of my music career is next year. I got ideas to celebrate and cannot wait to share them. I want to make music videos from all throughout my career. I am going to post verse videos of some of my older material. I am also going to drop a project more in line with my origins. Then, I will end the anniversary with a big album.
I am also going to publish a memoir about my music career. It is titled Complete Honesty Memoir.

The Pop Experiment
In 2024, I tried to go the pop route with music. This failed experiment did open the door to music I wouldn't have recorded otherwise.
On my website, I have so many pop albums for anyone to download. I liked my sidequests series of albums. I may make a sequel series at a later date.
I found my voice through making those projects. I am going to try and make a balance of pop and rap videos. I am going to be recording music videos soon for my pop tracks.
Rap is always going to be my comfort zone in music. I want to try other genres also.

Why I rarely Cuss in Music
For years, I went without cursing in my music. Now, you might think it is because I am a Christian. That's only a small part.
When I was young, I wouldn't curse online but I wrote dirty versions of every song. Online, I knew my Church might hear so I kept it clean.
I stopped cursing altogether when my mom found a rap called Love Handles. This song was all about ass. She told me to throw out all my dirty raps.
I remember tossing out books crying. I decided to become a clean rapper that day.
My mother didn't like me making music. Once I started to clean up my act, she came around.
When I reverted to Catholicism, I decided to keep my lyrics PG. I started recently to push those standards. I made an explicit album called the Secret Notebook and Sounds of Pleasure. I will never release those songs.
Once I saw how bad I could be, I shied away from writing those types of bars. I may say shit and fuck once or twice on a song but I won't go back to cussing alot.
