It's been like months since ive last drawn this pair in particular

Imma be a bit busy this week but here's a sneak peek of my redesign of master Eon. (I personally dont like how his helmet looks but i had to add it cuz its crucial to his character lol)

Since I'm here I'd like to shed some light my skylands rewrite lore. I wanted to make a comprehensive chart but I got no time :')

So I'll just type it-

You see in this rewrite of skylands, there's a bit of a hierarchy. Its not necessarily social but as of power scale and influence. But it's nuanced as another hierarchy can be within a level (more on this later).

From highest to lowest-

Greater Will:

Sometimes known as Fate, An entity that is beyond comprehension or understanding. This greater will sets everything up for every life. It knows what has been, what is, and what will be. Every action and reaction is all apart of the greater will's plan. Very few are aware of its presence and for good reason. Those who are caught up in fate tend to hasten it. Neither good nor evil, its merely is a force of nature.

Light/Darkness:

The physical manifestations of good and evil, push-pull, destruction-creation, both play a crucial role in maintaining of skylands. For nothing can exist without one or the other. But both are ambitious and try to overthrow the other, forever fighting for control.

Gods:

These are the beings mortal look up to for answers. They represent the core natures of the world and maintain the to the best of their abilities. However, there is a strict law with the gods so that they can't personally interact with mortals all the time. Remember how I said there were hierarchies in some levels? Well the gods have their own small chain of command, the first born being the leader. Their word is law amongst their colleagues and only they get the final answer. They keep mortals' and gods' ambitious in check.

Elementals:

These are the personification of all the events in skylands. They are what keep the magic in the realm balanced and full. They are the original elemental magic users and ofyen seen as a muse for aspiring mages. They are inherently immortal and cannot be killed.. but they can be corrupted. If one is corrupted, is it the job of the gods to take the bad apple out of the bunch before it spreads. It is even rumored thst if a mortal is worthy, they may take the elemental's place.

Portal Masters:

With all these gods and elementals being so wrapped up in the bigger picture, no one often looks at the finer details. They often brush the smaller and insignificant away... but not portal masters. No one really knows what makes a mortal worthy of such an honor. But when they're worthy, the world will know.

However, unlike mages, portal masters draw their power from their portals. But not just any portal, each portal master has a personal portal they are connected to. That portal is what gives them their powers and the ability to teleport anywhere they wish.

Often mistaken for godly beings, portal masters are powerful mages that help protect the people of skylands. Their main goal is to tend to the people and guide them through their journey. They often form their own following of subordinates that help with protecting the people. They can teleport their allies to help or take them to safety. Some have even teleported whole islands in a single blip.

Another fun thing about these people pleasers is thst they represent all the elements in some way. Whether it be personality, quirks, or interests, they represent the people and will often times speak for their behave for the higher beings.

Portal:

Scattered across skylands, these portals are often seen as a gift from the gods themselves. But no one really knows how they're made, they merely appear and seek out their portal master. There is speculation to whether it's a living being or merely programming. Regardless, it is a force to be respected. It is fueled by the passed lives of other portal masters from before. Often times, inexperienced portal masters have been found to be possessed by the portal itself. (Call ot the avatar state but much scarier) This doesn't last long but the devastation left behind can be catastrophic. Which is why portal masters must be trained to prevent such accidents.

Giants:

Ancient beings that have been in skylands longer than most skylanders, giants have played a role in the formation of society. Their large size and infinite wisdom helped construct order and governance in cities, villages, and kingdoms. Due to their size, some have even BECOME a city. Their sheer strength provide structure, giving shelter and protection for the smaller beings around them.

Skylanders:

These are the civilians, warriors, rulers, or anyone who reside in skylands. They come in many shapes and sizes. Their lives differ for others, making each one unique in their own way. They come from different parts of skylands and embody the element their home land resides in.

They depend on the portal masters to help them when the gods are too busy to do so. Often, they follow portal masters to help keep their own people safe. But some perfer a more peaceful life.

I'm changing some things around for my academy au because there's just no way im gonna let shitty writing ruin fun characters for me...

...starting off that by gutting any knowledge eon had about what happened to spyro's family. Yes, he DOES still blast them in this au to prevent them from becoming corrupted, but he does it with the intent to simply blast them into another dimension and not outright murder them. On top of that, the spell he used to create such a blast wiped out any memory he had of the event.... when he finds spyro's egg, he genuinely believes he's one of a kind which is why he treats the dragon the way he does.

That being said, spyro does still find out about what happened to his family but not through eon. spyro has no idea eon doesn't know and flees the academy regardless... there's an arc in the story that has spyro realize eon didn't know and its like this big closure moment that maybe eon WASN'T completely awful after all
