One summer before my brother John died (Oct 2021) I went to his Claverack home to talk to him about the stock market and what his estate-planning looked like. He was working with his grandson Tim S. who was a successful financial advisor and quoted me the phrase: "Loose Lips Sink Ships" when it came to the idea of his telling his wife about his large estate.

I think the phrase was created during WWII when the Kamikaze pilots were sinking ships . Also remembering the first time I went into a southern financial office before my husband retired from his corporate position w/ IP and I was manipulated into turning any stocks I had over into his portfolio: My name had not been put on the account yet " The little lady need not know" was the term the accountant used then( circa 1900s. ) Nuff said: I carried that resentment around for 5+ yrs until my spouse realized that the southern sleeze broker was making more on the account in fees than we. I told him all you have to do is notify my investors and they will transfer the whole account to a joint account in BOTH Names.. CLICK CLICK CLICK! done deal there was no need to even let the little sleeze-bag know. My own Kamikaze attack on Raymond James.

I thought about a recipe Mexican Shepherd's Pie and that led me to Mike's Illustration of ILL PELLEGRINO ( a pilgrim on his way to the Holy Land to seek his mission in the as the Sofi Scribe;

One gloomy day in Maine I went to Wilton to comfort Nancy who was in mourning for her first husband David: died 12/25/01 from esophageal cancer.

Their eldest son Chris, Wife and Son( Davie) had moved to Wyoming & Nancy was trying to figure out how to get frequent flier miles on her credit card to make the trip. Upon my arrival at her house she asked me to go shopping w/ her at Bouffard's Furniture store in Farmington and was there anything I would need from their "Closing Out Sale"....

"Bingo Nancy!" That is just one of the reasons I came down today! In fact I'm looking for a small Hide-a-bed Couch for Solla Sollew (a small ski camp I built w/ some of my inheritance from Judgie (1985)

We hopped in the car and did some serious shopping: purchased a small Dartmouth Green Hide -a BedCouch w/ decorator pillows & free delivery to Carrabassett Valley, ME for $900. Charged it to Nancy's Visa card w/ my reimbursing her in cash for incidentals on her trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming

The couch was not well received by the John G McCalls. After we sold Solla Sollew and purchase The Unfinished House That Jack Built from BJ for John to finish off. The couch w/ rule #1" No Dogs allowed on THAT COUCH!", was relegated to the basement bunk area and replaced w/ all leather furniture plus two deer mounts and a moose antler above a large leather couch. Hated TV remained on the lower level and was promptly taken over by Gus and Hazen (BJ's dogs ) Thus Recipe # 6/15/25 Couch Potato Salad in COOKING WITH KETCHUP by Mamie McCall and Nancy Prince

It wasn't ketchup on Walley's necktie when they found him slumped over w/ his face planted in the shrimp cocktail served at the Pre-Divorce dinner by his wife of 49yrs.

"THE PEMAQUID PLUNGE": /Mashed Potatoes dedicated to the East Wilton Woman who threw herself off the Cliff at the lighthouse after discovering her husband had a love affair with another woman.
