trans and queer poetry thoughts

I see this a lot on Tik Tok and Tumblr, people talking about how they never see older trans/queer people thriving, so I wanted to make a post about it! I took a trans and queer poetry class this semester, and we covered all sorts of diversity within the trans and queer poetry community. Here's a list of some of my favorite poems and their poets from this semester!

All of these are available to read online and I highly recommend them all! All of these poets have a wide variety of experiences and diverse backgrounds that are often seen in their work, and I hope that reading these can make some of you feel as seen as I have.

Last January, I never could have dreamed that the year would end this way - with new friends, a new fandom, and a seemingly endless impulse to create. I can’t overstate how grateful I am for all of it, and all of you.

Thank you so much for being here. To my fellow artists and writers, thank you for sharing your gifts and inspiring me to be better. And to @rainbowrowell, thank you for being a lightworker and bringing stories into the world that fill us up with magic.
