What Pokémon would live in Québec?

One of the most popular starter Pokemon in Quebec is Torchic, brought over during French rule. Torchic are perfect for any aspiring trainer - they’re warm to hug and easy to train, plus they make for great battling partners. Few Pokemon can beat a well-trained Blaziken in battle. As Torchic is a national symbol of France, the popularity of this Pokemon in the region is a way of representing Quebec’s long French heritage. 

Quebec is home to many wild Pokemon, including grass and bug-types (mostly in the southern parts), ice and rock-types (mostly in the northern parts), and water-types throughout, whether in Hudson Bay or the St. Lawrence River. Nosepass are common in northern Quebec; as Nosepass’ nose is a magnet, this makes it hard for it to find mates without repelling them, thus putting Quebec’s Nosepass population in danger of extinction. In order to counteract this, scientists are working on a program to revitalize the population, the only one in the Americas. 

In Montreal, one can find plentiful fairy, electric, and normal-types, as expected of Canada’s second-largest city. Spritzee, imported from France, float throughout the city, providing pleasant - but powerful - aromas to its citizens.
