Any buttons in his current collection were stolen, yes.

There is another thing Stanley enjoys that we haven't had much of a chance to touch on, since he hasn't had much time or energy for hobbies.

He likes stories.

Borrowers don't really keep their own books, since they'd be relatively heavy and hard to transport, to say nothing of human books. Borrower stories are mostly passed on through oral tradition. Unfortunately, Stanley doesn't really have a way to participate.

Eventually, the Narrator lets Stanley read his books and they discuss them. He gets really good at reading itty bitty handwriting.

Not really a question but I adore your Borrower au! As somebody who actually read The Borrowers book, I love the idea of an au built upon that idea! The development of the characters feels so raw and real!

It's a very good fic thus far and you know damn well I'm leaving kudos on each chapter and book marking it!

Thank you so much! While I'm far from the first person to do it, I really enjoy exploring the sorts of dynamics that can come from large size differences. One person seemingly holds all the power over another only to find out that isn't quite true.

I've really enjoyed building their distinct personalities from what's presented in the game. I remember playing the game in 2013 and I can confidently tell you the Narrator is and has always been a hot mess. I love him dearly.

The story is something I wrote mostly for myself but it makes me happy to see other people are enjoying it!

Hey so I recently became obsessed with your tspud borrower au and while I was driving with my cat in the car I was thinking what if the Narrator took Stanley out for a nature walk? Like as a therapeutic exposure to get Narrator out of the house and for Stanley to see the outside w/o danger. I imagine the shenanigans Stanley would pull on the Narrator would be funny. I might draw some art of it later but I just wanna say you write really well ^-^ love the story and your art
