Buck walks out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips, drying off his hair with another. Tommy’s playlist is still playing on the bluetooth speaker connected to Buck’s phone, which got lost somewhere in the tussle of undressing each other while stumbling down the hallway towards the bedroom. The faint tunes of some slow country-pop song carry over from the living room as he walks into the bedroom to see Tommy lying in bed, but still in his bathrobe, an arm tucked under his head and his eyes closed. Buck can’t help the smile that pulls at the corners of his mouth. It feels like walking into a dream. 

He comes to stand next to his side of the bed, eyes glued to Tommy’s face as he unwraps the towel from around his hips and lets it drop to the floor. 

Tommy cracks an eye open and smiles, and Buck preens. “Hey, you.” 

“Hey,” Buck murmurs as he climbs into bed. He balances himself on his elbow as he reaches with his free hand, sliding it underneath the bathrobe to run his fingers through Tommy’s chest hair before he lays his palm flat over his right pec. “You’re not sleeping in this, are you?”

Tommy shakes his head but makes no move to remove the garment. 

Buck sighs. “Need a hand taking it off?”

“You’re always trying to undress me.”

“You love it.”
