Okay so. You coined mogaihypic and xenohypic, but is there a term that combines both of those together? And if not, could mogaixenohypic work, and would the flag just be the middle one in the post, or would it be something different?
(the link in case tumblr's being difficult)
yeah i think mogaixenohypic would work! you could use the center flag for that, i also made a combo one here:
mogaixenohypic || mogaixenospinnic

idefemmeman | ideflamboriman
idefemmeman(/boy/guy): a man who would ideally present in a femme and/or feminine way to express their gender nonconformity, nonbinary identity, orientation, etc., but feels dysphoric, worried about being misgendered, or otherwise uncomfortable when actually presenting that way
ideflamboriman(/boy/guy): a man who would ideally present in a flamboric way to express their gender nonconformity, nonbinary identity, orientation, etc., but feels dysphoric, worried about being misgendered, or otherwise uncomfortable when actually presenting that way
for anon! these terms are similar to idesheman and idesheturian and use the same top two stripes to represent maleness and middle stripe to represent ambition/desire (and potentially gender nonconformity/nonbinary identity depending on the user). the bottom two stripes are from/inspired by the femme flag and flamboric flag respectively!

Not all dykes are women and not all dykes are lesbians. You're foolish to think otherwise. To think that you can put queerness on a binary system.
Your identity politics can not stop the butch bisexual who has been beaten and called a dyke from reclaiming her identity and from being a part of our community.
Your hatred of men can not stop the transgender man who has been raped and called a dyke from reclaiming his identity and being a part of our community, you can not deny that they have helped to build the dyke community and identity.
Your disgust of the transmasculine stone butch lesbian can not stop him from discarding womanhood and embracing butchness and dykeness as his gender and identity, he himself built the dyke community you stand on.
Your transmisogyny can not stop the transfem nonbinary dyke from reclaiming their identity as they are spat on and called a faggot, they have every right to stand in out community and embrace their identity, to reclaim the word and identity that has been withheld from them, on the basis of assumed genitals.
You can not put an end to the genderqueer femme and zir pronouns and their identity, as they are attacked from all sides, called a dyke and confused woman, zey are with us.
Dykeness will not be forced into a static identity, it has survived 80+ years of cishetnormativity and violence. It has survived abuse, corrective rape, murder, transphobia, and separatism. It will not bow to petty cisbians who desire a mono existence.

Felt like experimenting with the idea of a spectrum to describe the phenomena of nonhumanity or related things, as only having labels to work off of has its pitfalls when so many overlap. And so, the KINsey scale was born. Intended to be used per each identity/kintype. Feel free to reply or reblog with your own personal codes! My bonobo type is 3E-F5orange (tho that does fluctuate a bunch). Further explanation of my reasoning behind this....
I can't help but notice there are millions of new terms being coined every week, because what we already have is clearly unsatisfactory for many. And the differences between a of the popular labels are very blurred and overlap a bunch, sometimes to the point of being functionally the same! For example the element of choice for otherkin however small, especially for the psychologically inclined, means you could be fretting about whether you're kin or otherhearted or otherlink or something else entirely. When it shouldn't matter that much. And with the more popular labels comes an implied hierarchy with classic otherkin/therian being at the top, and its cousins being lower down.
Classic otherkin especially, need to adhere to a particular narrative. Or else they're "delegated" to being hearted or something. To fit in. So increasingly I and some others have been thinking of ourselves as being "animal people", just animal people (replace animal with anything else that fits, fairy etc), a species first approach if you will. There are endless backstories and reasonings for why we are the way we are, but the result is the same. It allows for greater personalisation when you're like "I'm an x-person, and this is how". If your identity straddles the line between involuntary and voluntary, or if it was a sudden thing in your 30s rather than childhood, there's no pressure to pick a term and adhere to its norms. You're an individual and no less a real x-person than someone who has been struggling with something they've had no say in since toddlerhood. I'm a bonobo person, therian is the most convenient wordage but my backstory doesn't really tell you whether I really mean it, only how I got here. I don't always conform to the expected narrative.
Of course, I understand people also enjoy having labels, so I'm not hinting at removing them altogether. But spectrums supplementing those could be a viable compromise imo. I'm kinda dubious that we really need so many microlabels and umbrellas when it's already so muddy. It means you need to study what all of these are and have the memory of a computer in order to know wtf someone is talking about. If we prune that a little bit, it may allow for more legible communication.

Please take OPâs advice! Be careful with your sources. We have some more general advice and lots of advice about Latin specifically, since we also study it:
Try to find more than one source. Referencing many different sources in general is always a good way to check that the information youâre getting is accurate.
Cite your sources! This isnât strictly required, but at the very least explaining the thought process behind your term under a read more is extremely helpful. Not only does it provide context to your term and allow community archivists to record and preserve accurate information about it, it allows other people to let you know if youâve accidentally made a mistake or used an inaccurate source. As wiki contributors, we would really appreciate it.
Many Latin sources, including ones that are otherwise perfectly good and helpful, mix up the letter âUâ and âVâ a lot. Most of the time they either replace all âUâs with âVâs or vice versa. There is a logical reason for this, but for the sake of linguistics and transliterating to English, it isnât accurate. A big red flag is lots of Latin words that start with the letter âUâ or that have the letter âVâ in the middle of them, as that is fairly rare. Youâll know this is whatâs happening if you see large chunks of Latin text that contain only the letter âUâ without the letter âVâ or vice versa. This is also one of the reason why multiple sources are important.
Like OP mentioned, there are many English words that are identical in spelling but have completely different meanings. However, the same can be said even more in Latin. Latin is, in terms of number of words alone, a much smaller language than English is, and has far more homonyms. Latin words can in many cases have five or more completely different English meanings. This is important in the context of using Latin words to create and English term because using a word with many different meanings can lead to confusion. Latin homonyms are often translated based on things like context, so youâll have to pay attention to the other parts of your term when using them.
You donât have to use foreign languages as a basis for your term at all. You absolutely can, and we certainly do sometimes. It can be fun and reflects the existing English language. However, especially if youâre a beginner, itâs important to know that thereâs nothing wrong with just using English words, prefixes, suffixes, and roots to make your term! I might even say this is what we most commonly see. Creating a term while taking from foreign languages can be complicated, and you donât have to do it to make a MOGAI term.
a note from floro
dear my mogai besties,
pls source ur words from languages u dont speak wisely!!! /nm
ive been seeing a lot of words in some of the cointober posts that arent from the languages the coiner says they are
some languages dont have translations for certain words, like haunted and chocolate! for example, latin doesnt have a classic example of either of these words!
latin is a slippery slope, dont fall for the google results, because as a student of latin for over 2 years, i know when something is and isnt latin!
again this is /nm and /lh but like, yes, source ur words!
here are some resources i use:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Main_Page (i edit here!!! i provide latin stuff there!!!!!)
https://www.lexilogos.com/english/index.htm (leads to a lot of good dictionaries online, be wary of some because they may not be fully accurate, if u need me to check something, just send me an ask!)
here are some sources NOT to use:
google translate (95% of the time)
wordhippo (around 70% of the time)
examples of the above not giving great words:
English âhauntedâ -> Latin âuadaâ âuadaâ is not a word in Latin, but is only a word in one confirmed language, Mezquital Otomi, a native Central Mexican language, it does not mean âhauntedâ there either. WordHippo and Google Translate say otherwise.

Hello :) Would you please explain to me how to use neopronouns? I would like to be able to use them correctly.
there are a lot of different neo-pronouns n not all of them are used exactly the same. i don't think i can explain every neo-pronoun in one post, but here are some examples on how to use some of the more common ones!!
ââżâ
xe/xem/xyr/xyrs/xemself
here's an example!! if you wanted to say:
"he wanted to go to the park so i went with him. his hat blew away. somebody found a hat and asked if it was his, but it wasn't, so he had to buy a new hat for himself."
using xe/xem pronouns, that would be:
"xe wanted to go to the park so i went with xem. xyr hat blew away. somebody found a hat and asked if it was xyrs, but it wasn't, so xe had to buy a new hat for xemself."
ââżâ
if you look up "how to use xe/xem pronouns" on the internet, you'll find lots of example sentences n probably some more in-depth explanations!! the same goes for any other pronouns you're not sure how to use yet.
ââżâ
ey/em/eir/eirs/emself
here's an example!! to say:
"she likes flowers, so i gave her some. her vase was broken so she had to use one that wasn't hers. she was happy i gave her flowers, because she was too tired to pick flowers herself."
using ey/em pronouns, you would say:
"ey likes flowers, so i gave em some. eir vase was broken so ey had to use one that wasn't eirs. ey was happy i gave em flowers, because ey was too tired to pick flowers emself."
ââżâ
many people who use neo-pronouns also have a set of "aux pronouns", also known as "alternate pronouns". these are pronouns that they like less than their main pronouns, but are still comfortable with being referred to by.
for example, my main pronouns right now are "peach/peaches/peachself" but my aux pronouns are "they/them". if you just have with neo-pronouns, you may use the person's aux pronouns instead. however, if possible for you, it's best to use their main pronouns.
ââżâ
other common neo-pronouns you might want to research how to use:
fae/faer/faers/faerself
fae likes to take faer dog on a walk every day. once i offered to do it for faer, but fae wanted to do it faerself because the dog is faers.
ze/zir/zirs/zirself
ze likes to take zir dog on a walk every day. once i offered to do it for zir, but zir wanted to do it zirself because the dog is zirs.
it/its (not technically a neo-pronoun, but widely used)
it likes to take its dog on a walk every day. once i offered to do it for it, but it wanted to do it itself because the dog is its.
ââżâ
a common mistake made when using neo-pronouns n other non-standard pronouns is using apostrophes in the wrong places!!! for example:
âthat is faersâ is correct, âthat is faer'sâ is incorrect.
âthat is itsâ is correct, âthat is it'sâ is incorrect.
âthat is zirsâ is correct, âthat is zir'sâ is incorrect.
only use an apostrophe when thereâs a contraction!! for example: faerâs late again. (faer is late again) itâs already gone home. (it has already gone home) zirâs not feeling very well. (zir is not feeling very well) ââżâ noun-self and emoji-self pronouns:
noun-self pronouns and emoji-self pronouns are used as a form of self-expression. for example, somebody who feels like their gender is linked to or strongly identifies with clouds may use cloud/clouds/cloudself as their pronouns. sometimes people just use these pronouns because they think theyâre cute, and thatâs valid too. ââżâ nounself pronoun examples: petal/petals/petalself petal really likes stuffed animals, so petal often buys them for petalself. whatâs your favourite animal? petals is a penguin. bun/buns/bunself
bun really likes stuffed animals, so bun often buys them for bunself. whatâs your favourite animal? buns is an otter. peach/peaches/peachself peach really likes stuffed animals, so peach often buys them for peachself. whatâs your favourite animal? peaches is a cat.
(she really likes stuffed animals, so she often buys them for herself. whatâs your favourite animal? hers is an owl.) ââżâ emoji-self pronoun examples: đ/đs/đself đ likes to sing, but đâs shy so đ only sings when đâs by đself. đ wants to write a song thatâs all đs!! đ¸/đ¸s/đ¸self đ¸Â likes to sing, but đ¸âs shy so đ¸ only sings when đ¸âs by đ¸self. đ¸ wants to write a song thatâs all đ¸s!! đ§¸/đ§¸s/đ§¸self đ§¸Â likes to sing, but đ§¸âs shy so 𧸠only sings when đ§¸âs by đ§¸self. 𧸠wants to write a song thatâs all đ§¸s!! (he likes to sing, but heâs shy so he only sings when heâs by himself. he wants to write a song thatâs all his!!) ââżâ FAQ: how do i pronounce emoji-self pronouns?? you should ask the person whose pronouns you want to pronounce, as preferences can vary from person to person. however, commonly they will want you to say the name of the emoji like a noun-self pronoun. for example: when spoken out loud, đ/đs/đself becomes bee/bees/beeself
when spoken out loud, đ¸/đ¸s/đ¸self could become cherryblossom/cherryblossoms/cherryblossomself or flower/flowers/flowerself or petal/petals/petalself. when spoken out loud, đ§¸/đ§¸s/đ§¸self becomes teddybear/teddybears/teddybearself ââżâ FAQ: what if somebody uses no pronouns? just use their name. here are some examples using previous sentences: Alice wanted to go to the park so i went with Alice. Aliceâs hat blew away. somebody found a hat and asked if it was Aliceâs, but it wasn't, so Alice had to buy a new hat for Alice. Sunny likes flowers, so i gave Sunny some. Sunnyâs vase was broken so Sunny had to use one that wasn't Sunnyâs. Sunny was happy i gave Sunny flowers, because Sunny was too tired to pick flowers for Sunny. Avery likes to take Averyâs dog on a walk every day. once i offered to do it for Avery, but Avery wanted to do it with just Avery because the dog is Averyâs. ââżâ FAQ: why do people use neo-pronouns? âżfor self-expression âżbecause they feel more comfortable using neopronouns âżthey like neopronouns more than standard pronouns âżthey/them is plural which can get confusing âżneo-pronouns feel gender-affirming for them ââżâ FAQ: how many neopronouns are there? a lot!! a whole bunch. hundreds or even thousands. luckily, many people who use neopronouns also have instructions on how to use their pronouns, often in the form of a carrd or a pronouny. if you donât know how to use someoneâs neopronouns, and you canât find an answer on the internet, go ahead and ask them politely!! most people who use neopronouns are very friendly as long as you are respectful and willing to learn. ââżâ further resources: https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Neopronouns (about neopronouns with examples) https://neopronounfaq.tumblr.com (lots of resources and faqs about neopronouns) https://pronoun.is/ (a pronoun database with usage examples) https://dailypronouns.tumblr.com (a lovely blog with lots of neopronoun suggestions, good if you want to choose some neopronouns to try out) http://www.pronouns.failedslacker.com (pronoun dressing room, useful for when you want to try out new pronouns) https://secret-harbor-95149.herokuapp.com/ (gender unicorn, useful for figuring out your identity) ââżâ disclaimer: i know everything. i have a brain so big it doesnât fit in my head. i have to push it around in a wheelbarrow. /j that being said, there may be mistakes in this post!! if you spot a mistake, tell me and iâll fix it!! i donât want to be spreading misinformation by accident.

You donât have to label at all, either! You never have to label your gender, orientation, or anything else. Thereâs no rules that force you to. Labels exist to describe you in ways that feel productive, comfortable, and correct to you personally. If they arenât serving you in any way, you donât have to use them.
Label as much or as little as you like! There are truly no limits, in either direction. Itâs all about what feels right to you.
Hey, this isn't dunking on people who like or use labels like this, but I think there's a bit of a push in online spaces to figure out every facet of your identity through intense self-introspection and increasingly obscure microlabels that just... isn't really necessary. If your gender or sexuality is stressing you out in a way that isn't beyond your control (i.e. dysphoria or facing transphobia/homophobia), just take a step back and realize that if no label ever clicks for you, you can just grab the nearest umbrella term and go. It's that simple. If you do see a more obscure label and go "Yesss, that's me!" good for you, but you literally don't have to.

does Enigma count as an archetype??
If you mean does it count for our term archetrope, then yeah, if you want it to!
Your identity is totally up to you. If identifying as an enigma archetrope feels helpful or good or right to you, go ahead! We made the term to help people define aspects of themselves that canât quite be defined in other ways. If it fits, then you donât need to ask us for permission to use it. You can just use it!
