spectrum of pain

the dull grey colour in the eyes of the girl whose mother is going through chemotherapy / the bright purple colour leaking from a friend’s body because of the clouds surrounding her / the cherry face of the kid on the streets of murree who couldn’t make eye contact because the hand on his head had the touch of affection he was longing for / the blue cries of the boy who lost something dear but was still unable to grieve / the yellow laughter of the girls touching my friend’s hair, hiding a tint of something ugly / the brown look of defeat in the eyes of a father / the olive vibes of boy in remembrance of a careless time / the cosmic self of the girl bracing through / the white fears mixing with the crimson anger of the guy wading through falling leaves / the slate gray colour of kindness of a boy looking for a story in a sunset / the bruised honey look of that father who hugged his son after three years / the mustard smile of the boy hiding his cries / all of them putting up the façade of a different colour than the one surrounding them, all of them in pain; breathtakingly chaotic pain.
