Brain is pretty excited about running a Daggerheart campaign soon, so...

If CR campaigns were played using the Daggerheart System, what class would characters be?

Bonus points if you add your reasoning!

(My current thoughts below!)

Vox Machina:

Vex: Ranger is pretty obvious as she gets Trinket right out of the gate if she chooses Beastbound

Vax: Rogue but perhaps he flavors his midnight and grace spells to look more like his paladin or druid spells? Not sure on subclass...

Keyleth: Definitely a Warden of the Elements Druid in my mind

Grog: Personally I think he'd make a good Warrior, Call of the Slayer specifically

Scanlan: We all know he's gotta be a bard but I'm torn on whether he's Wordsmith or Troubadour?

Pike: Seraph! But I'm also not sure on subclass? I'm leaning towards Divine Wielder.

Percy: Hear me out, Rogue. Since Revolvers and Rifles in Daggerheart use Finesse and Agility, I think Rogue would fit best plus his smoke abilities would fit perfectly in the Midnight Domain! Not sure on Subclass...

Taryon: He is the one I am stuck on... I honestly have no clue?

Jester: I know Seraph would make sense but with her trickery domain, I feel like Sorcerer makes more sense, since it has Midnight and Arcana domains. She'd probably be Primal Origin in my mind?

Fjord: Wizard! As weird as it sounds, the Codex domain kind of reminds me of Warlocks Eldritch Invocations? And he can multiclass into Guardian later to become more tanky! School of War for Wizard, unsure on Guardian subclass.

Caleb: Either Elemental Origin Sorcerer or School of Knowledge Wizard... Maybe he multiclasses so he's both?

Nott/Veth: Rogue to start, since it has both Grace and Midnight. Later multiclasses into Wizard to take Codex. Nightwalker for Rogue, not sure on wizard subclass.

Beau: She has the Valor Domain no matter what bc they have the ability Bare Bones. So I'd lean towards Vengeance Guardian?

Yasha: Probably starts as a Stalwart Guardian but later multiclasses into Winged Sentinel Seraph.

Mollymauk: Molly's a weird one... And I love him for that. I'm thinking he starts as bard and multiclasses into Warrior. Wordsmith Bard and Call of the Slayer Warrior.

Caduceus: Also a weird one, I think Caduceus fits as a druid who multiclasses into Seraph. Warden of Renewal Druid and I'm unsure on Seraph subclass but takes the Splendor Domain?

Kingsley: Has Wordsmith Bard and Call of the Slayer Warrior but also multiclasses into Rogue: I'm leaning towards Syndicate bc he's so showy.

Imogen: Definitely a Sorcerer, either Elemental Origin with Lightning or Primal Origin where her abilities are flavored to look like lightning.

Laudna: Also a Sorcerer, I'm leaning towards Primal Origin with her multiclassing into Wizard for School of War and Codex Domain.

Orym: Guardian, Stalwart but multiclasses into Call of the Brave Warrior and takes the Bone Domain.

Dorian: Bard but I'm leaning towards Wordsmith subclass just because I don't vibe with him being a Troubadour for some reason I cannot pinpoint?

Orym the Grey Warden and his faithful mabari, the Barkitect

Detail descriptions below the cut

I chose Orym's hair style based on his level 10 haircut. I added a few details that weren't in that design bc I like Orym being a little scruffy (plus when you're fighting a Blight, who has time to be clean-shaven?)

Armor is based on the default warrior grey warden design, it has the commander of the grey symbol in every reference I've seen so even though Orym doesn't hold that rank, it looks better than the non symmetrical symbol of a standard grey warden.

The Barkitect is a smaller mabari, probably a teenager. His fur design is based off my late dog. Might base his personality off of my dog too. If I decide to color this piece, he will be tan with white spots, a black nose and angel tears.

I might draw Dorian and the [spoiler] tomorrow if I feel better.

The mabari hound is currently between Barkspawn (a classic) or The Barkitect (pun on my fave villain in Origins/Awakening)

I'm working on details for the world, plan is to set in Exandria with details pertaining to Dragon Age.

Hopefully I'll still be into this idea by the time I get well enough to type out the fic, until then, I sketch ideas and write little details.

I need a name for a pet that Dorian and Orym raise in my Dragon Age fic...

Possibly giving them a mabari hound as well... Still deciding on that one.

If they get a mabari, it's gonna be later in the story when they're kinda settling into their relationship.

Managed to write a bit of the first chapter of Windswept Moonvine!

Random Details

I have several fics floating around my head right now. So I figure I should share some details. Most of these are Dorym focused.

Windswept Moonvine Details: Dorian learns from his academic advisor that he needs ecology credits to graduate, so he takes a course about magical ecology. He ends up struggling in the class and having stress dreams, his professor recommends he find a tutor. Orym offers to help and now Dorian's stress dreams morph into dreams about falling in love with Orym. In this AU, Orym and Dorian are acquaintances until Orym starts tutoring Dorian.

Evil AU: Orym finds his thirst for vengeance takes over after losing Will and Derrig and even Keyleth can't help him. He becomes a notorious bounty hunter and runs across a quarry who manages to peak his interest. Dorian, in an attempt to help Cyrus, has gotten himself in trouble and found he doesn't dislike it. This is a very indulgent AU where it focuses on the idea of Dorym going bad and still falling in love.

We Can Only Be Who We Are: Widomauk AU where there is a new kingdom in Wildemount. The kingdom of Nightingale has stood strong for many years but now the queen is ill. Her son needs to promise his loyalty to the peace and the Dwendalian empire is concerned, sending in a spy, ambassador and a monk of the Cobalt Soul to investigate. Caleb becomes intrigued by the oddity of not only the kingdom, but also the prince who has been reported to have had a sudden personality change.

Dragon Age AUs: (I love the dragon age world, so this is very self-indulgent) It's still in the thought baby phase but I would love to make some AUs of my favorite ships (Dorym, Imodna, Widomauk, Vaxleth, Shadowgast, Beauyasha, etc.) that deal with Thedas and how they would fit in (example: Apostate Caleb and Tevinter Magister Essek)

We Can Only Be Who We Are* Details Post

After doing a little work on some ideas and some help from a friend, I have a few details for the fic that I can share at the moment.

To avoid making a huge post, read below for more details

Mollymauk Details - Mollymauk AKA Molly Nightingale is the adopted son of the current queen of the Nightingale.

He is next in line for the throne and with his mother's health in questionable condition, he's dealing with the looming pressure in odd ways.

Class-wise Molly is not a Blood Hunter in this AU. He is level 10 with 4 levels in Twilight Cleric and 6 levels in Swords Bard.

Caleb Details - Caleb Widogast is very much a fake name and few know his past and he prefers to keep it that way. That's not to say he doesn't have friends however, Veth and Beau being the closest.

As the ambassador from the Dwendalian Empire sent to Nightingale, he is very intrigued by how the young kingdom works but also trying to remain aware of the dangers.

He is still a Wizard in this AU, however his spells are more useful for social and stealthy situations. He rarely finds himself in combat, but he is prepared for it.

Beauregard Details - Beau is a fully fledged monk of the Cobalt Soul, she is currently stationed as Caleb's bodyguard.

She is often the person Caleb bounces ideas off of. Offering sometimes unwelcome or unusual advice to her friend but usually meaning well.

As said before, Beau is a Monk of the Cobalt Soul. And as a bodyguard to Caleb, she is the one more built for combat of the two.

Veth Details - After Caleb rejoined the empire, Veth joined him shortly after she was restored to her halfling form. She is currently a spy stationed in Nightingale.

As a spy in Nightingale, she cannot have public contact with Caleb and Beau. However with a help of the Message cantrip and coded communication, she remains in contact with her friends.

Veth is an Arcane Trickster Rogue.

I'll make another post later with information on the rest of the Nein and some side characters who are important to the story.
