I’ve been trying out all my infrequently used art supplies lately. Tonight I got out a simple set of Prang watercolors and this was the result.

The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden. - Goethe Ink, watercolor 8”x11” #inkdrawing #watercolor #naturedoodle #goethe

Today (due to distance) I listened to the livestream of the Celebration of Life for an amazing woman, Peggy McDonald. And as I listened, I painted this. Peggy was my church youth director during my teen years. She was my life mentor during those formative years and what she taught me had stayed with me. Peggy taught me that what I think matters. She taught me that we can be useful for the greater good wherever we are- to bloom where we are planted! Peggy taught me about hope and rainbows and the love God has for each of us regardless of our differences. She taught me through her living of life to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly... We all need to be more like Peggy. ❤️ (at Fairview, Oregon)
