Intersex people are meant to be intersex.
We were not "supposed to" develop any way other than how we actually did.
We are not a failed version of something else.
We are intersex, worthy of respect as we are.

A pessimist who is tired of being such a pessimistic little bitch and radical change.
Hey you.
Yeah, you. I'm talking to you, you little snotty, oppressed little bitch. The one who, just like me, has resigned into watching and not doing anything, everything that goes wrong. We eat, shit and sleep the days away while other people ensure our lives turn into some shitty christofash fanfiction straight out of the lawless part of the fandoms of the Internet.
I have a question for you, aren't you just fucking tired of being the victim? Haven't you had enough with being passive waiting for someone else to fix your shit up?
We live in the age of information and yet, I have never seen such a passive little minded generation like this one. Oh you have bills to pay, job to do, lives to run? Well, SO DOES EVERYONE, YOU MOTHERFUCKER, and so did people before you and will after you. But, did you ever think even for once, the people behind the legends of social change, the movements that gave women rights, that gave colored people rights, that gave LGBTQIA people rights, if they had lives to run as well? You bet your ass they did. They faced untold shit to manage and they didn't have the luxury of readily available information. They didn't have the luxury to whine about it like you do.
You have let your brains rot away into mindless consumer mode, and all you can do is bitch and moan instead of doing something! ANYTHING! if only you had half the energy evil people do to make sure their plan is running smoothly, if only you put half the effort to do good as they do to do evil, our fate would not be so hopeless. You don't need money to run a cause, you don't need to be the fucking Batman to ensure justice is served, you don't need to be a god to ensure change. Be the change you wanna see in the world. No matter how small, any change is radical in the face of stagnation and rot. The evil people win because the good people do nothing, and they will keep winning, unless you do something.
Everyone has something they can do, no matter how small and insignificant. Everyone can do one thing good and can do good with that one thing, if only they did. It takes time, yes absolutely, but let's be honest here, that time would be already wasted mindlessly doomscrolling like the little pessimistic pussies you are.
Do you have room to spare? Food to share, clothes to donate? Do you have skills to teach, songs to sing, words to write? Have you been keeping in touch with your local communities, are you part of any village to help each other? Do you even go outside and talk to people, do you even know what your local politicians are doing? Heck, if they are failing, maybe it's time for you to enter the fray, you can't be worse. As long as you do good. As long as you don't let greed blind you and selfish desires lead you astray.
Stop waiting for a hero to save you. Be your own goddamn hero. I'm doing my owm small part here. I can only hope my screams into the void are heard.

reminders:
if you or someone you know might need it in the next few years, purchase plan b. the shelf life of plan b is 4 years, and we might not be able to access it as easily as we can now in the days ahead.
if you are larger/plus size: go online and purchase ella instead of plan b. plan b is less effective if you aren’t under 160 pounds.
if you can, purchase books that project 2025 is looking to ban.
mass deportations are starting. if you see ice vehicles or agents, yell ice raid and la migra as loud as you can.
if someone asks who you voted for, keep your mouth shut. they’re fishing for traitors.
if anyone, anyone at all asks about your neighbors or their legal status in the us, you know nothing. don’t be the reason that their family is separated.
if anyone asks about your religion or lack thereof, keep it vague. this administration will look for any excuse to persecute you.
your friends are trans or queer? for the next four years they’re not. don’t expose anyone’s status as a trans or queer person to anyone else, even if you think you can trust them.
did someone you know get an abortion? no, they didn’t. they were never pregnant.
in short, don’t be a snitch, and keep to yourself these next four years. we’ll make it through this even if it seems hopeless at times.
we can survive this. we’ve survived before, and we’ll survive again.

From the NYT article "An Olympic Dream Falters Amid Track’s Shifting Rules" about Maximila Imali, a top Kenyan sprinter, who lost rights to participate in Paris Olympics after restrictions against natural testosterone production in women were tightened:
But her career lurched to a halt again in 2019 after track and field sought to impose new eligibility restrictions, and Ms. Semenya lost a landmark decision in her own case.In that case, the arbitration court, by a 2-to-1 vote, upheld a ban on intersex athletes in events from 400 meters to the mile — where their advantage in strength, muscle mass and oxygen-carrying capacity was considered most pronounced — unless they lowered their testosterone levels to the female range. The decision kept Ms. Semenya from defending her 800-meter title at the Tokyo Olympics. The court acknowledged at the time that the ruling was discriminatory but said that it was “necessary, reasonable and proportionate” to ensure a “level playing field” in women’s events. Blocked from her most familiar events, Ms. Imali switched to shorter races. In 2022, she set Kenyan records at 100 meters and 200 meters and won a silver medal in the 200 at the African championships. In March 2023, however, her career was halted again, perhaps permanently. Expanding its existing restrictions, World Athletics announced that intersex athletes were ineligible to compete in all women’s events unless they lowered their testosterone levels to 2.5 nanomoles per liter, half as much as previously allowed. The tighter constraints came after two intersex athletes performed impressively in previously unrestricted events at the 2021 Tokyo Games: Christine Mboma of Namibia, who won a silver medal in the 200 meters at age 18, and Ms. Niyonsaba, who finished fifth in the 10,000. Sebastian Coe, the president of World Athletics, said that no single athlete had prompted the stiffer eligibility rules. But without them, he said, “no woman’s ever going to win another sporting event.”
Just to clarify, the president of World Athletics said "no woman’s ever going to win another sporting event" if we allow intersex cis women to compete in the Olympics. Just to clarify, intersex cis women are not seen as women. Just to clarify, intersex cis women who bend to these pressures end up SICK AS HELL because our bodies exist this way for a reason (like Annet Negesa)
And yes, they're all Black women in this particular discussion. Negesa had to seek asylum after this because it's illegal to be queer in Uganda. Black intersex athletes get ripped violently from the closet, dumped in the trash by the athletic orgs, and crushed further by the social fallout caused by this entire process. Caring about intersex rights and autonomy means caring about women whose lives are destroyed by invasive medical testing that often comes with medical rape. It also means not erasing the INTERSEX aspect of these issues when they pop up.
It's crazy how many people say shit like "she's not intersex, she's Black" like 1. humans can be intersex 2. Black humans are humans 3. Black humans can be intersex 4. Multiple countries in Africa have some of the most active intersex orgs in the world. Pretending Blackness and intersexuality cannot cross is dehumanizing both groups at the same exact time - and ignores the colonial practice of forcible sexing and gendering that exists to show what is savage versus what is civilized.
