Snufkin writes it out on some sort of paper or something, as a letter he'd never get to send that informs Moomin both of his feelings, and that he might not make it to Spring. However, the wind yanks it from him once its complete. As he begins to succumb to the cold and hunger, the wind takes his hat as well.

Fast forward to Spring, Moomin opens his windows excitedly, and just barely hanging onto the edge of the roof is Snufkin's hat. He plucks it down with confusion, then a gentle breeze arrives and a piece of paper flies past Moomin and settles on the floor. Moomin picks it up and reads, and of all things, its the letter, perfectly intact after a near impossible journey.

Two In A Pod

Moomin is a mermaid, and Snufkin is a siren. Sirens are predator animals, while mermaids are prey animals. Snufkin is hunting Moomin with the intent to kill him but then Moomin turns around and sees him and he's super nice and happy because he's never seen a siren before so he just thinks Snufkin is a funny looking mermaid. Snufkin doesn't have a pod (a pack..but sea form) so someone being nice to him is a shock to him and he doesn't know how to take it so his brain just kinda breaks. So instead of killing him for food, he runs off but Moomin keeps coming back to the area to see Snufkin cause he wants to be friends and eventually Snufkin gives in. Eventually, other sirens in the area begin to notice Snufkin's odder than normal behavior and follow him, which is how they find Moomin. Snufkin isn't really popular so the pod decides to trick Moomin by saying they're Snufkin's friends and they bring him back into the siren territory. Moomin starts getting afraid then and says he wants to go home but they grab him and tie him up and wait for Snufkin to come. Snufkin /is/ angry and he does show up against his better judgment because his instincts starting thinking of Moomin as part of his pod, and when he gets there they ambush Snufkin.

Hero’s Love

Snufkin isn’t a "villian," more of an anti-hero basically. Moomin of course is a hero. He finds Snufkin injured after Snufkin ran away from a fight and takes care of him cause he doesn't know Snufkin is a bad guy. They get close as Snufkin recovers and then Snufkin leaves and gets his next job and his target is Moomin. Snufkin has to decide if he's gonna do it. He's never failed a job before. He forces himself to do it and finds Moomin, who is super excited to see him again until he realized Snufkin has a cold aura around him. He asks what's wrong and then Snufkin pulls his gun on him and that's when Moomin realizes who he actually is. But Moomin doesn't fight back, he just smiles and holds up his hands "I won't fight you. It's your choice." Snufkin starts shaking because he doesn't know what to do; he's basically been compromised.

Look, all I want in this world is for Snorkmaiden and Snufkin to love Moomin to pieces.

Like, Both of them looking at Moomin like he’s hung the moon and has placed every star in the sky and every shell in the sea just for them. And more Snorkmaiden to recognize the adoration she feels for Moomin on Snufkin’s face and just, “He makes it easy to love him, huh?” and Snufkin, too lovestruck to realize he’s being spoken to aloud, go, “,, yeah 🥴💕”.And just absolutely run from the problem, while Snorkmaiden has to find a solution.

Like, Snufkin isn't going to want to get in between them, Snorkmaiden is aware of how deeply they care for each other, and she loves Moomin so much, and like, imagine Snufkin just trying to pack it up, and go, “well, I can never return to this,”

Snorkmaiden, “Oh shit, I was right he does love Moomin.” having to fight the fact that it’s HER Moomin, and, well, of course, he loves Moomin. needing to say to Snufkin “It’s okay,,”

(Starzy) I. LOVE THIS. The use of the name Floren confused me, but I made an assumption that you meant Snorkmaiden, so I altered it, but if it was wrong of me to do so, please tell me.

Forgetting AU

The reason Moomin and Snufkin are never alone on their adventures, and things seem really spaced out, is because Moomin has amnesia and Snufkin went missing. Each episode is a recount done by the other characters attempting to fill in the pairs point of view of the events.

"Be Gay, Do Crime"

Snufkin is gay, and tells Moomin about his feelings for him. Moomin tells him that he is heterosexual and loves Snorkmaiden, Snufkin is heartbroken, and eventually goes crazy. He becomes a criminal, but he can't be caught. He kills the police, kills people, robs houses, starts fires. After all of Moominvalley is gone, only Moomin and Snufkin are alive, Snufkin asks again, But what does Moomin say?

The Price Of A Moomin

Snufkin and Moomin used to be best friends. Before Snufkin became... who he is today. A hunter. A black-market seller. A betrayer. Snufkin regrets the day he lured Moomintroll into a trap, and even more so regrets selling him off. And for what, a bit of cash for... he can't even remember what it was. But it was a sudden addiction to physical trinkets that lead to this. He became greedier and greedier, worse than Sniff, worse than anyone, and then found out how much a Moomin costs.

Modern

my brains been stuck in Modern AU the past couple days and you can't convince me otherwise that Snufkin wouldn't be some homeless guy that keeps showing up in the valley and half the people don't go near because stigmas around homeless people in today's society and anyways I'm gonna go onto the thing in my brain and talk about it.

So, Moomin already knows there's some homeless man that occasionally comes through the valley every year or so, but he's never actually really talked with him, just heard about him and seen him doing his thing in town, occasionally eating at a restaurant, fishing at the edge of town, and sometimes buying supplies in some of the stores. After a while Moomin basically says "fuck it" after he had an argument with Sniff about the guy after they watched him buy an odd assortment of items with probably forged money and decided to actually approach the Mystery Man. After actually having a conversation with the stranger, he was able to not only learn his name was Snufkin, but that he was also a traveler, leaving where he had decided to spend the past few seasons every winter and travel around until he found another place to settle for the spring, and also a few other things, such as the fact he could speak three different languages, and that he had a particular fondness for playing the harmonica.

Winter in Moominvalley

Snufkin doesn’t get out of the way from the boulder falling into him in time (from that one episode where Snorkmaiden went psychic), his leg gets crushed pretty badly, and Moomin and his parents have to care for him

Thing is, this happened a few days before he was going to leave for the winter, and now he can’t leave

He’s stuck at Moominhouse

And Moomin refuses to go into hibernation because he’s worried about Snufkin and cares for him and all

Sniff’s Desire

Sniff grows greedier day by day. He begins craving for riches, willing to do anything for them. Then he realizes...he lived in Moominvalley. The only place in the world where you can find the Moomin species. So, he begins capturing his friends and sells them to Zoos for high prizes.

Cave of Mystery

Snufkin finds a cave on one of his travels, a beautiful lake with clear blue water streaming in by a waterfall. He goes to Moominvalley and tells Moomin, and because of how close it is, they can make it there with ease. They enjoy themselves, not realizing the water was cursed. They stayed for the night, planning to get Moomin home the next day. Unfortunately, the water turned them into monsters, and no one recognizes them, but they can’t see their new forms, reflection or otherwise, even on each other. Nor can they figure out how to break the curse, so now, Snufkin has to deal with becoming an outcast again, and Moomin has to figure out how to survive as such.

The Revenge of the Groke

Moomin and Snufkin are actually gay, so Snorkmaiden never gives a heart-shaped seashell to Moomin. The Groke doesn't get anything for the ruby and keeps coming back. MoominPappa ends up shooting it, after countless warnings.

The Groke dies but swears to bring revenge. Thingumy and Bob leave Moominvalley since Groke can no longer chase them. It starts snowing in Moominvalley, midsummer. The snowing doesn't stop, and it gets colder.

Everyone is forced to leave their homes, due to the amount of snow. They think of a way to normalize the situation and think Sacrificing Thingumy and Bob is the only way.

Snufkin, Moomin, My, and Sniff head out to find them.

The Monster

AU where, while Snufkin was out on his travels the past winter, unknowingly caught eye from a rare sort of predator, and it’s been stalking him ever since. Now, it’s spring, and Snufkin has brought this beast into Moominvalley, where it has decided to stay. The beast is large, and everyone in Moominvalley appears as though they’re a delicious snack. People start being picked off one by one, and soon, everyone left has to figure out what this creature is, it’s attack patterns, where it lives, and any weakness it has in order to drive it out of Moominvalley.

Jealousy

Snufkin knew Moomin was only pretending to be with Snorkmaiden. But that didn't stop the anger he felt when he saw them together. Moomin was supposed to be his, it just wasn't fair. But it was well made up for by the nights, when Snufkin would sneak up for a while and it would just be them, cuddling softly and mumbling to each other. All Snufkin has to do is to keep his jealousy in check, and all should be fine.
