i’ve got to say coming back to this after the news hits different. i need to let some things off my chest

i know it’s not a disbandment nor is it the girls leaving the group altogether, but i’m still broken and trying to process it - i’ve been a mess all day. i might not be able to listen to their music for a bit as it might make me cry! i’m both grieving because we won’t see them all together for god knows how long, and also excited for the future endeavours of each of the girls - i’m always gonna support the fuck out of them.

band siyeon is gonna be so cool and also that band will bring about members of said band for me to get to know and love - i saw the apparent trademark application for the name and it sounds awesome. dami (my first dreamcatcher bias) and handong i’ll always follow you wherever you go and whatever you get up to 💛 i’ll start watching k-dramas just for gahyun haha! jiu sua yooh (my second deukae bias) i can’t wait for your unit activities and to see what kind of sound and concept you’ll go for - same as deukae or something new? 🤔

dreamcatcher thank you for the past 5 years i got to spend with you. i became an insomnia during covid which was a really stressful time full of uncertainty for me - i was 15 and supposed to be taking my gcses but had no idea when or if i’d ever be able to go back to school to get my grades or to see my friends - i had no hope that things would get better. i listened to the b-side sahara and the lyrics inspired me to keep going. and of course seeing a clip of dami’s iconic line in boca got me to listen to boca. the rest is history. i turn 20 years old this year and things have gotten better since. dreamcatcher got me through both the pandemic and these past 5 years growing up.

i’m also really glad that i took the opportunity to go and see them in london last year while i still could and got to tell them how much they mean to me, and talking to new people while waiting in line, hearing their songs live like i dreamed of, and of course “one more time” XD - i’m going to cherish those memories forever
