She could ask that same question in her mind all the time. Though she knew the boys had been helping him with something, she didn’t know exactly what- and she had an inkling they sent him into an existential crisis while she wasn’t keeping a close eye. Yes, she could ask herself that question constantly- but she didn’t think this situation would go so deep as to talk about the darker crevices of her past. Though, she was talking to Eros, she didn’t have that much of a problem talking about the memories with him.

The woman could have decided to not be with her boys’ father so many years ago, she could have decided to not start a family with the man, she could have decided to leave the witch practice all together, hell she could have decided to not live in New Orleans but here she was- a proud mother of two rascals and a woman in love with a demigod. In retrospect, that statement could make an interesting sitcom show. 

“ Please tell me the boys didn’t throw their theories about the butterfly affect at you- I swear they get too carried away with that stuff. “

She stated, a small pout forming on her face after she rolled her eyes and settled her gaze on the other.

    he was glad it was a popularly explored idea, as usually he felt alone in his thoughts. when vera was around, she never shared what ran through her mind, often && usually quite literally, leaving him in the dark. so he just assumed.. that no one else indulged in delusions or anything like that until this media.      it had opened up his crystal hues, prying the door to his soul just a tad awry at well. wondering how many possibilities there could be && if someone actually does control it all. he would want to have stern words with them then.      ‘ no. we watched a show about them. sort of. it was really gory should the be allowed to watch that yet?? ‘ his tone hinted that he was kidding. ‘ it’s okay. it’s good they showed me. makes me more impossibly happier to be here, with you, && them. ‘

      ( starter for @limelited )       maybe she had been out on a bender.. for months. or more likely than that, her parents had tried sending her to yet another conforming camp filled with little pencil pushers who only needed a tiny nudge to fall into complete mayhem. but no matter, she was home now, with the same old skin tight leather && a small hickey on her inner thigh as a reminder of the latest rehab.      but no matter that now, all she wanted to see again was her absolute favorite heather. the only one that crossed her mind daily, && actually avoided the cars that had a tendency to hit blondes. so, being as quiet as she can, she sneaks, swimming through the crowd like a shark, before licking her lips && whispering in the unsuspecting party’s ear.                ‘ miss me, baby?? ‘

      ( starter for @naivelost )       ‘ how does it feel to know me?? a blessing isn’t it?? ‘      he’s mostly being sarcastic, but that other part of him, wanted to know genuinely. sure, eros could be an asshole, ESPECIALLY to the people he loved ( whether or not he wanted to admit that was ben without some serious sass behind it was a different story ), but he was always worried. always worried that they just tolerated him, kept him around cause he was useful?? even if not in a working sense. && because he knew that he liked having ben around, even when he infuriated him to no end. eros would still look over && his eyes would swell with love. && he only wondered if it was the same for ben.

      ( starter for @rentalfuck )       excuse her as she rifles through her fridge, trying to find the reminiscent of whatever she had picked up at a local bakery earlier today. she was hungry && it was intense, like a spike pricking her spine when she tried to ignore it, so here she was, carrying two big strawberry pastries, back to her soft && plush couch, opening the both so that bear could get some too.                             ‘ have you eaten today?? ‘       she knew he had a habit of eating sweets && sometimes wondered if that was all he usually survived on. && of course she could get him something other than this ( it would probably be best ), hell she was probably going to order something soon && make sure he also got something, but she was merely extending a hand. she knew he could take care of himself, about as much as she could.

      ( starter for @nmpteen )     ‘ do you ever think about how different your life would be depending on one little decision?? ‘ maybe he had watched bandersnatch earlier, after asking the boys for help with the controlling aspect, && it had really got him to think. maybe if his parents had been only a little tiny bit less shitty && kept him he would be dead by now, peacefully even. he would of actually interacted with people for more than an hour before the age of 200. but maybe vera would of taken in some other poor sap, && now he would be stuck here, with HIS pasyan && HIS boys ( even if they weren’t biological, hell, they were his ). or maybe all of those people that eros had leaded deep into the monsters den would of stayed alive.. would of had continuing family lines..        maybe he shouldn’t watch this kind of media anymore.

      ( starter for @sungrown​ )     maybe she was to comfy going to his house.. in a way it almost already felt like her second home though. it was connected to hers, just spread so far && so thin && that she only really felt home at point a or b. it made her smile just thinking about it, so the fact that she was bringing her brother over to meet him, made her leap for joy. she was practically skipping down the street on the way, even if they took no time at all to make fun.      so when she got there, she laughed mockingly at the two, who were much bigger than her ( && they never let her live this down ) && swung open the door, eyes locked with theirs as they looked at the very naked man who was doing some kind of foreign yoga pose. it shocked them, && marc read that shock instantly && decided to have a look for herself. && nothing would of prepared her for that. hell, she had seen toph do yoga many times by now, even heard that sometimes he did it naked ( which earned a giggle from her before ) but now?? it was here in front of her in practice && she couldn’t help but let out a laugh.     it wasn’t at him or even really to make fun, it was more of a panicked thing, which was obvious by how she slapped her hand over her mouth the instant it came out, followed by each twin in turn covering her eyes with each of their hands.        here lies christopher haas.
