This question had me pacing around my living room and peering at my bookshelves tryna narrow it down. Because I’m both a librarian and an overachiever, I’m including quotes
1. Slaughterhouse-Five - Kurt Vonnegut
2. The Left Hand of Darkness - Ursula K. Le Guin
3. The Secret History - Donna Tartt
4. Misery - Stephen King
5. Ptolemy’s Gate - Jonathan Stroud
Honorable mentions include The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal by Thomas Harris, The Fifth Season by NK Jemisen, and Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe ♥️
top 5 favourite games. these can be video games, board games, tabletop games, whatever!! if it's a thing you "play" then it counts!!
Great question!
1. Dungeons and Dragons - I’ve been playing/DMing in some capacity since 2016 now! The longest campaign I DMed lasted 3 years almost exactly. And of course I gotta show off some of my beloved characters: Lathander (triton paladin), Gilhana (firbolg grave cleric), Sammen (tiefling Djinni warlock), and the Fool (human mastermind rogue.)
2. TES: Skyrim - This is probably the game I’ve spent the most time on in total. Stealth archers 4 lyfe 😄 Here’s some old art of my fav/main Dohvakiin, Teelan.
3. Dragon Age 2 - My gateway into fantasy RPG games! I’ve played DA2 I think 4 times in total now? And it led me to play Inquisition right after. I used to be sooo into the Dragon Age fandom 😭 I also cosplayed Hawke a few times over the years.
4. Horizon Zero Dawn: I always, always have fun playing this game. The flawless atmosphere, the creature designs, the main character and her motivations, I just love all of it
5. It’s really hard to pick just 5! I’ll tie this spot between Baldur’s Gate 3 and the Witcher 3. I have great memories and experiences with both of them.
somewhere in the south downs there's an old lesbian couple learning what it's like to hold each other for the first time (and learning that the wait was worth it)
