some of you really aren’t gonna like this, but a creator’s wishes should never dictate what fan content is produced for a piece of media.

in the past, authors like anne rice have tried to limit the production of fanfiction. but at least rice was honest - she thought this infringed on her copywrite. back in the day, this was considered a valid argument to not create any fanfiction at all for her works.

do you understand what i’m saying? while you may sound valiant for placing a creator’s “discomfort” above the fan’s natural proclivities in fandom, really you’re just continuing to advocate for censorship in fan spaces.

and for anyone who is a creator, or who wants to become one - get comfortable with the rules of the internet. there will be erotic content made of your characters, there will be weird AUs made with your characters. there will be strange pairings and headcanons, no matter if you interact religiously with the fans or not. you cannot stop people from connecting with and wanting to be creative with your characters.

I want one of those scenes in a dude bro film where “tomboy” chick has to wear a dress to go undercover or whatever, but instead of the guys drooling as she walks down the stairs, they’re like “k. Ok, so. The Trump budget. It has already passed the House and now just needs 51 senators to pass it and send it to Trump for signature.

There are 53 Republican senators, 45 Democratic ones, and 2 Independents that vote with the Democrats. VP Vance is a tiebreaker vote.

So to block the bill, at least four Republican senators need to find their spines and the Democrats and Independents all need to keep their spines. This will not happen without direct action from voters.

They are only going to resist this bill if they hear from voters in their states. They do not care if some person from California calls them.

It's really fucking bad for everyone except the ultra-wealthy, surprise surprise.

I'm going to go through some of the features of this budget in reblogs, but trust and believe that it's horrible for the vast, vast majority of Americans, including you.

Highlights include:

Extends the Trump tax cuts passed in 2017. This continues $3.7 billion in tax cuts for the wealthy. If this budget does not pass, these tax cuts will expire and go back up without any action.

$150 billion in additional military spending

Work requirements for Medicaid. "childless adults without disabilities would be required to work 80 hours per month to qualify for benefits.". They expect millions of people to fail to meet work requirements and lose Medicaid.

Planned Parenthood and trans care. "Bans Medicaid from providing funding to Planned Parenthood as long as the organization continued to provide abortions, and would bar Medicaid from covering gender affirming health care to any beneficiaries. "

Reduces SNAP food stamp access that 40 million people use. "mandates work requirements for able-bodied SNAP enrollees who don't have dependents.".

Clean energy "dramatically scaling back many of the tax credits for clean energy."

Border walls and ICE. "$46.5 billion toward completing Trump's border wall. It also allots $5 billion for Customs and Border Protection facilities and more than $6 billion to hire and retain more agents and officers"

Student loans. "cut $330 billion from the student loan system by scrapping several existing repayment options, including the Biden-era SAVE program that based payments on income and household size.". Does anyone want to have student loan payments that you cannot afford?

Guts Obamacare. "Saves $100 billion, but will result in millions of Americans becoming uninsured if they fail to adhere to new paperwork requirements or can no longer afford insurance premiums."

Weakens federal courts that keep using orders that his actions are illegal and unconstitutional. It prohibits courts from enforcing contempt citations for violations of injunctions or temporary restraining orders unless the plaintiff pays a bond. Bonds can be EXTRAORDINARILY EXPENSIVE and are not currently required in these cases. The provision "would make most existing injunctions—in antitrust cases, police reform cases, school desegregation cases, and others—unenforceable," says the god of constitutional law, Dean Erwin Chemerinsky.

So, you folks in red states and you folks in wobbly blue states (PA, NC, etc), you need to call your senators and save us all.

Call every day. Call after hours so you can leave a voicemail and not talk to anyone.

For real y'all, millions of people are going to starve, go broke, and be without medical care if this bill passes. Which is a feature, not a bug, of the Trump administration.

And it will balloon the national debt to pay for these tax cuts for the wealthy.

We Need to Stop the Budget Bill

If this budget passes, people die because they won't be able to afford the Medicaid copays, especially as Trump economic policies kill jobs and keep causing prices to rise.

They are sacrificing people for the billionaires that bought them.

When you contact your Senator, say what you need to say to keep Republicans split and keep Democratic spines stiff in the Senate.

The goal of this legislation is to harm or kill as many ordinary people by stealing their health care while ballooning the deficit by 3.8 trillion by giving tax cuts to massive billionaires.

Not all deficit is bad. Deficit to invest in things like education or health or infrastructure is good for obvious reasons. This deficit is entirely about sucking money out of the economy and into billionaire bank accounts. It gives nothing back; it only harms.

What do you think the sexually repressed TFA Ultra Magnus is into? Yeah he has a strong and composed presence in front of others that it’s hard for others to imagine what exactly it is that he likes or does in the privacy of his berth. Autobots spread rumors about his prudeness and seemingly lack of interest. It would be hella funny if he’s secretly a freak and no one expects it. Like what if he watches videos of other bots when he’s all alone. Or has very specific or even niche kinks/fetishes? A taboo fantasy involving him and a Decepticon? Maybe he’s more into the idea of stuff than the actual act. Who knows. Or can’t seem to let his guard down but fantasizes about it.

if i'm gonna be honest, ultra magnus SCREAMS closeted bottom to me. like, he's not as bad as sentinel, for example, but he's got a reputation to uphold. he can't have cybertron knowing that he's into getting led around on a leash like a dog.

honestly, as to what he's actually into? i wouldn't be surprised if he had a secret desire to be used. whether that be being the one on the receiving end of a gloryhole or being used as a piece of furniture for his dom/me, i think sometimes, he needs to have the pressure of being a perfect paragon taken off of him. sometimes, he wants to be a mindless object.

As of the time of this post, AO3 has been scraped by yet another shady individual looking to make a quick buck off the backs of hardworking hobby writers. This Reddit post here has all the details and the most current information. In short, if your fic URL ends in a number between 1 and 63,200,000 (inclusive), AND is not archive locked, your fic has been scraped and added to this database.

I have been trying to hold off on archive locking my fics for as long as possible, and I've managed to get by unscathed up to now.
