HIBERNATION

In this AU Shockwave rescued Soundwave from the Shadow Zone. (They were already a Conjux before the war) Soundwave from the other dimension still aboard the Nemesis witnessed Megatron's words. "Desepticons are no more" So a part of him is seriously broken. His loyalty, effort and trust disappeared for a time. Shockwave decided that the best thing was for them to escape to another planet. There are no more Desepticons but that doesn't mean at all that they will join the Autobots. They have little energon for the trip, the most prudent decision is hibernation. Soundwave still has nightmares about the Shadow Zone so Shockwave makes sure he is there when he needs him. Only under a mutual cortical psychic patch Soundwave can allow himself to sleep freely for longer. Because that way he will never be alone in his nightmares again.

True crime?! My interest is piqued. I’ve got a few headcannons for some tfp cons about that.

Knockout: Genuinely enjoys it for both the psychological aspects AND the gruesome details (especially human true crime, he likes body cam videos because of the weird shit humans do)

Starscream: Not a fan, but will do that parent thing of standing behind the couch after saying he’s not interested in watching it (mainly likes bodycam videos)

Soundwave: Listens to true crime podcasts while he works

Megatron: Watches/listens to true crime for the twisted and gruesome details, very “I watch gore because it’s funny am I weird?” aah energy

Breakdown: Same as Starscream (he watches it while he buffs KO)

Knock Out especially loves it when we're talking about hunting people down or there being an "expert" killer who always manages to erase his trail - he sees himself in the killer which is uh... fucked up, but it's KO we're talking about. Legit, he'd make a fantastic horror movie villain and he knows it. The charm, the looks, the talent - he has it ALL

Megatron's own time in the mines witnessing accidents has made him almost completely immune to human gore. He doesn't even blink - like hearing about a bug dying

Starscream probably looks down on anything that's too "low class" - he much prefers psychological thrillers and anything to do with politics - but it doesn't stop him from glancing at his human watching it

Do you think soundwave would be a kitty regressor? Like he mimics his mama?

I think he would meow and be sad when no one responds properly and hides in the vents to try and meow sadly.

I think Star finds him and tries to mimic the sound and soundwave is so happy he peaks out the vent and Star gasps because 'scary mask gone!' And soundwave crawls to settle in Star's lap and purrs as he nuzzles into his neck cabling. Star giggles and clumsily pet him.

AAAAWWW~ THE CUTENESS!!! He would be the cutest kitty regressor EVER!!!

I picture Starscream would be confused at first (regressed or otherwise) because Kitty-Wave would be FAR more expressive than he normally is. Instead of being seemingly emotionless and still like a statue, Kitty-Wave would purr when he's happy and his when he's angery. Which is A LOT more than Soundwave would do normally. But I think Starscream would get used to it quickly and even get excited when Soundwave regressed to be a kitty.

I think Kitty-Wave would still be a sleepy kitty and take naps in warm, quite places and he would "make biscuits" in cushioning spots like Mamma-Ravage taught him. I think Kitty-Wave would be a lot more physically affectionate and but his head against things he likes. Starscream and Lazerbeak would probably be his main targets for this. I also think Kitty-Wave would force Starscream to nap with him by picking the seeker up with hiss cables, carrying him to his chosen nap spot, and lay on him untill Starscream falls asleep. Starscream would fuss and complain, but Soundwave would start purring and the seeker wouldn't be able to fight sleep much longer.

I NEED to see more fanfics like this! If I wasn't so easily distracted and lost interest in projects I would totally start a series this cute! But alas, I'm making myself wait.
