Why Tumblr should Fall In Love with Frida Kahlo.

Because no hairy faced lady blog would be complete without mentioning this beautiful woman: Harnaam Kaur. Earlier in the year she caused an internet sensation after a picture was taken and posted online without her consent. In response to the trolling the picture received, she showed amazing courage, wisdom and empathy and responded incredible grace.

Another incredibly courageous woman made headline news when she grew a moustache for Movember last year. Sarah O'Neill also has polycystic ovary syndrome, and whilst raising awareness of the condition she raised over £800 for men's health charities. What a woman.

And last but not least, to round things up, a picture of Conchita Wurst, winner of the Eurovision song contest.

Ah, the history of men's facial hair {^~.~^}

Over the weekend I went to the National Portrait Gallery to see the Grayson Perry  exhibition and on my way out through the gift shop spotted this little gem: a whole book on the history of facial hair fashions.

Along with *yet another* Oscar Wilde biography - only this one concentrates on his social circles, and being friends with lots of artists, poets, high and low society members...should no doubt make an interesting read. So I bought both books to fuel my fetishes (1.1)

I'm becoming increasingly aware of the pro-pit hair feminist movement. In fact, there are several lovely ladies in my close and extended friend list that would call themselves pro-pit feminists...some even dye their hair bright colours.
