MoviNerdz pick# 10 - Annapolis stars James Franco, Tyrese Gibson, Donnie Wahlberg and Jordana Brewster. The story follows Jake(Franco) a working class individual who gets to fulfill his childhood dream of entering a prestigious naval academy. Once there, he will be put to the test and challenged in every way by his superior officer. He will have to decide if he has what it takes to be a naval officer. Enjoy!!

MovieNerdz Alert: #2 - A beloved classic is getting another sequel. Yeah you read that right. They are making Sister Act 3 with Whoopi Goldberg back for more laughs. The movie will come out on Disney +. No official release date has been announced. Whoopi Goldberg and Tyler Perry will be producing the flick. I’m so ready to find out what Deloris has been up to. Bring it on!!

MovieNerdz Alert: Oscar Issac will be suiting up for “Moon Knight” coming to Disney + in 2022. He will be going up against Ethan Hawke’s villain which has not yet been announced. This will be one of many more Marvel shows coming to Disney +.

MoviNerz pick# 9 - The Illusionist stars Jessica Biel, Paul Giamatti, Rufus Sewell and Edward Norton as “Eisenheim the illusionist”. The story follows Eisenheim, a gifted magician who reunites with his childhood love. They both come from a different social class that leads them to forbidden love. After years of being apart from each other they must find a way to finally be together. He will play a dangerous game that will put him up against Crown Prince Leopold, his love’s fiancée. His abilities and intelligence will prove useful as he creates his greatest illusion yet. The film is filled with twists and turns in every corner. A total blast from start to finish.

MoviNerz pick #8 - The Walk stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt(Inception), Charlotte Le Bon(The Promise) and Ben Kingsley(Operation Finale). The film is based on the incredible true story of Philippe Petit and his journey to become a high wire artist or wire walker. His ambition and artistry takes him to New York City where he carefully planned his historic walk of the World Trade Center . With the help from his friends, he performs the impossible stunt on the morning of August 7, 1974. His great artistry and tenacity lead him to become a legend. The movies special effects are incredible, you feel as if you are right there walking with him. The movie defies gravity and takes you on a journey to do the impossible. Black Widow has received a PG-13 rating for intense violence. The film was once again delayed from May 7th to July 9th a few weeks ago. This will mark two years without an MCU movie. Once it finally gets released, it will jumpstart phase 4 cinematic adventures. It will be released simultaneously in theaters and on Disney + on July 9th. I’m all set to watch Black Widow kick some taskmaster ass!!

MoviNerz pick #7 - Freaks of Nature stars Mackenzie Davis(Terminator: Dark Fate), Nicholas Braun(HBO series Succession) and Vanessa Hudgens(Gimme Shelter) and many more. The movie introduces three high school outcasts as they become more socially alienated in a town inhabited by humans, vampires and zombies. Each one now of a different species must bring the town together and fight the real threat behind the scenes. As far as comedy horror goes, this movie brings a creative fun story to the mix. MoviNerz pick #6 - Time Trap stars Brianne Howey(Ginny & Georgia) Netflix series. A college professor is investigating the mysterious site of where his parents disappeared as a child. He finds a strange cave and goes missing. Some of his students come looking for him and get trapped in the cave where the professor disappeared. Soon they discover that as they go deeper into the cave, time passes differently than from the surface. Get ready for some adventure and family fun as the kids journey through time into a surprisingly new future. I began watching the movie with low expectations but the story and characters pulled me right into their world. Make sure to check it out and leave some comments.
