My thoughts on writing, possibly some excerpts from fiction, some calligraphy, some fountain pens, and some of the other things that inspire me.

Whelp. I did it. Got the regular size. Who would think any person wound need so many notebooks? But apparently I needed these like fire, lol. Decorating them with charms and extra bookmarks was lots of fun!!

I got the cover from Amazon.com, and I got the notebook refills and the add-on folder from gouletpens.com. Don't remember the price!
I wanted a small one to fit in my purse, and just because it's small. I have plenty of journals the same size as the "regular" Midori. :)

Guess what I got in the mail yesterday! Wasn’t sure what the hype was when I first saw them, but I’ve experimented with a lot of paper in the past year, and when I saw a new vid on these I knew I wanted one!
Love it! Comes with one blank book and I bought extra bands and books so I have three attached. There’s show through, but it’s not too distracting, and there’s no bleed through even with a juicy pen. Discreet, secretly fancy, and the passport design makes me feel like Indiana Jones. XD

Using the second notebook for random notes and mini-journaling! (I have a larger book for journaling as well.)

First!
Received my first bottle of Noodler's ink today! It's Noodler's Navy, one of the Ink Drop colors. This should be interesting... I like the value, the bottle is 3oz, which is bigger than the Diamine. I may have to try this famous x-feather one day, too, just to see what the hubbub is about...

Wow, my coworker saw me with my pen and paper, and he asked what it was. I mentioned it was just some notes, and he said, "Wow! That seems so old fashioned. Nobody writes by hand anymore. Kids today!" Wow, sad! And I've actually known people who claimed they had no paper at home. NONE. How do they buy groceries??

Haha, you would think that! You know, he's gotta save his money to help out with his world domination schemes!
You know you've become a true Fountain Pen Geek when...
… you start picking out fountain pen brands in movies. I had no idea Lex Luthor had a Pelikan M800 in “Superman Returns”. Until now.

Decided to get a broad nib for my Vac 700! I should have it late next week, and I can do a comparison of the two sizes. This fine is SUPER fine, and I don't have a broad nib in my collection yet. I have tons of mediums, and a bunch of italics, so my Vac 700 is apparently going to be the "I don't have this kind of nib yet" pen. XD

Avast, me hearties! Feast yer eyes on these eyes on these beauties. They be the pens o' the day! International Talk Like a Pirate Day, that is. These fine scribblers have stood me well, and the newest instrument makes use of a fine kind of gadgetry. The Vac700 sucks up ink with a quickness! Using the special jug (the vac 20) lets the scribbler fill up to the brim, and it's mighty fun t'use. I recommend it to sailors and land lubbers alike!

Lol! I've managed to convince myself that since ink already comes in bottles, it's extravagant to buy an ink bottle. :p. But fountain pens can be seen as extravagant anyway so who cares? XD
I'm excited, I'll have to give a full report once they come.

Coming soon to my house! I got a fine nib, because I don’t have any pens with a fine nib, and I thought I should branch out. I’ve got tons of italics and a few mediums, and one TINY EXTRAFINE that I don’t particularly like…
Can’t wait! I bought the vac ink bottle, too! My first ink bottle just for the sake of having an ink bottle! Haha, I’m nuts, I know.
