What is it about this place? Today was one of the hardest days of my life. We said goodbye to our beloved mother Helena Ocasio Cruz. I’m heartbroken and simultaneously full of resolve. I feel there’s a part of me missing. It’s ever present and I don’t think it’ll ever get it back. At the same time meeting and sharing time with family members I hadn’t seen in years was the definition of soul food.
