With all of this discourse about the halftime show, it’s been reminding me of when all of us were talking about the misunderstanding of We Cry Together. People don’t understand him or the things he’s talking about and purposely ignore that there’s a deeper meaning.

That still pisses me off to this day 🤣

They purposely left out the beginning of the song where it said “This is what the world sounds like.” And tried to make it seem like he was just saying shit. It’s disgusting and they were blatantly trying to make him look bad to make Taylor look good. I’ll never forget that dumb shit, but we can’t expect nothing more from tumblr, honestly.

It made me madder because that album is his therapy album. That’s why we were trying to tell them that the song was a reflection of what he grew up around and the world around us. To take someone’s experiences and villainize them like that is fucking shallow, but then again their favorite likes to use psych wards as aesthetics. God forbid a black person talks about their trauma, though.

I think what’s happening with the halftime show is more of a lack of media literacy than it is blatant stupidity like it was on here with WCT. Keep in mind that half of Americans only read at a 6th grade level. Like, how do you not know what 40 acres and a mule is? Simple American history! Of course, there’s also racism adding fuel to the fire. He was too loud, too reckless, and too ghetto for them.

Even if you look at some celebrities who reacted to it, THEY didn’t even understand it. Most of them thought everything was about Drake. It’s sad, really.

Kendrick is above most people's intelligence levels, and research is below most people's interest levels.

You see there’s a pattern here? First of all, never beating the nazi allegations by praising Kanye, and second of all, they only like to see black people perform if they can pretend they aren’t black, and you can pretend someone isn’t black if they aren’t talking about being black.

I saw one tweet sum it up by saying they don’t want politics at the Super Bowl…but if it were a white rapper with a MAGA hat on, they’d be trip walking to whatever tf they were saying.

I also saw DEI comments, which further demonstrates how stupid they are. They obviously don’t know what that even is. Then again, aren’t the red states the low IQ states? Thought so. I also struggle to see what was satanic about it, but then again people were calling Megan Thee Stallion satanic for speaking Japanese…such a smart country!

I wonder if any of them noticed the squid games reference, or the prison yard setup. Long story short, Kendrick didn’t listen to “Uncle Sam’s” warning to play the American Game how THEY wanted, and now he’s public enemy number 1
