Summer brights are going strong. This season French style polish is definitely making a comeback but with a twist, I’ve done so many colourised French designs this year and I love them!
I’ve used all The Gel Bottle gels - clear rubber base - marshmallow, king cup, bleeding hearts and daisy white - extreme shine too coat

How I’m coping with covid as a diabetic.
We have both come down with covid… my guess is we caught it at the wedding and I think this is a new strain/ variant. Having been around the block with covid twice before and this is by far the worst I’ve ever been hit. I’m on day 8 and still feel as rough as day 3.
As a diabetic it’s worrying when you get sick because it plays havoc with your blood glucose levels, I’ve been running high all week even though I’ve not been eating a lot or many carbs. One thing I have been careful with is cough syrup and lozenges.
Here’s a list and links of what I’ve found works and doesn’t spike my sugars.
Wilko / Morrisons own brand cold and flu capsules ( these are just paracetamol phenylephrine and Guaifenesin) most have caffeine too which isn’t great when trying to sleep.
Sudafed blocked nose nasal spray
Covonia sugar free cough syrup
Halls sugar free lozenges
I’ve found keeping doses up every 4 hours has helped with symptoms.
Here’s a few other things I’ve tried which have relieved my chest/ sinus congestion.
Foot reflexology- massaging the balls of both feet and at the base of the big toes🦶 really helped clear my chest
Assuming the “prone” position … this helps open up the lungs and improve oxygen flow… it’s the position they put you in when you’re in hospital - laying on your back isn’t great when you have a respiratory Illness of any kind

Breathing in salt water steam I just used a saucepan a fed 1 tablespoon of salt and a pint of boiling water put a towel over my head trapping the steam in and taking slow deep breaths. The salt kills bacteria and the steam moisturises the airways making it easier for you to breathe and get rid of mucus
A salt pipe/ inhaler
I first got one of these when I was recovering from pleurisy and pneumonia about 8 years ago I was recommended it by a naturopath and it really helped me with my breathing.
Again inhaling the salt particles helps kill bacteria and and toxins which in turn helps reduce the inflammation your body creates as an immune response.
Here’s the one I have

Other than that I’ve had a couple of hot baths with some olbas oil and taken lots of rest.
I did watch a YouTube video that mentioned a study that even if you feel hot you should keep warm as a high core temperature helps the body to release interferons (part of the innate immune response) and these help clear the virus quicker … that’s why kids don’t get it as bad because their bodies naturally produce more than adults here’s the study for the first 5 days I was doing everything I could to cool myself down. I wish I’d known sooner my symptoms may not have lingered in so much.
Anyhow I hope this helps anyone suffering suffer a bit less 💕
