What did you say? Heterosexuality is haram? Wtf. Hope it's joke or something
- Noah’s wife was straight. Lot’s wife was straight. Pharaoh was straight. Literally every person who is punished ~by name~ in the Taurat, Injeel AND Qur’an were heterosexual. Coincidence?
- If Adam’s judgement wasn’t clouded by his heterosexuality we wouldn’t be in this worldly mess in the first place. IF Adam was gay like a normal person we never would have been kicked out of the garden.
- “Straight”/”Hetrosexual” are modern sociological constructs. Heterosexuality is bidah.
- If heterosexuality is permissible then why are there gendered barriers in the masjid? Why are men allowed to expose their navels so wantonly amongst their brothers, but not amongst women?? HMMM?
The only straightness for true Muslims is as-sirat al-mustaqim. It’s so obvious I don’t know how you can’t see it.Heterosexuality is haraam. Obviously.

can you fucking imagine if there was a poll going around asking if bisexual people were queer??? or trans people even. anything after the G other than A really (and if you say A is for ally I am killing you with a piano).
it would be fucking ridiculous, wouldn't it?
yeah so the "are cishet aromantic men queer" poll should be seen by EVERYONE as fucking ridiculous. because it is. it's not really up for debate.
if someone asked you right now, are lesbians queer, you'd tell them to touch grass. at best. you'd probably ignore them if we're being honest. but suddenly when they ask about aromantic people it's up for debate? or worse you "don't want to get involved"?
aromantic people are queer. whether you like it or not.

it’s okay if you’re aromantic because of trauma or mental illness. it’s okay if you start to gain romantic attraction as you start to recover. it’s also okay if trauma took away your romantic attraction completely, never to return or if recovery decreases your romantic attraction. it doesn’t matter why you’re aro or if you’ll be aro forever. if you find a home in the aromantic community that’s a good thing, and we’ll welcome you with open arms

if you want young queers to want to associate with elder queers then maybe the culture shouldn't be so ridiculous and over the top. I get second hand embarrassment from drag queens and leather daddies and kinksters in puphoods acting like they represent all gays
I would much rather be represented by drag queens, leather daddies and pups than by petulant cowards afraid of their own reflection. You are talking about people who never had the option of being seen as "normal people who just happen to be gay" and channeled their pain into self expression, community and art. And who are you? You define yourself not in terms of who you are and what you create but in terms of who you are not and what you lack. These people you hate only seem larger than life because your life is too small and insignificant to fit them.

Hi! This is a wild lie— and grossly ignorant of the reality of insulin worldwide. From a simple cursory look around their blog and reports, the open insulin project is a bunch of """biohackers""" (who calls themselves that? Be for fucking real) roleplaying world saving medicine by using other people's equipment to achieve the most barebones first step towards production of insulin. I don't see any qualifications anywhere on their website. They just got their hands on a bioreactor and the only way they even got to see results for expression of insulin lispro (only ONE type of insulin btw and a short-acting one that's virtually unsustainable for therapy considering most if not all insulin treatment regimes include a mix of long-acting and short-acting insulin. "Rationing insulin" isn't a fucking thing and you're clearly ignorant of the variance of treatments for types of insulin along with different people's circumstances) was with the help of universities and labs that had the kind graces to let them use the equipment. They're a LONG way away from anything feasible, not to mention they only work in the Americas so they're useless to a majority of the world– where insulin is already being produced for affordable prices without any of y'all's Le Epic Biohacker Bullcrap
Also, your response doesn't address the anarchist mouthpieces aiming to dismantle the structures and chains open insulin relies on – because they're just roleplaying in a lab without the donations, universities and labs to serve as the backbone of their project here – or the fact they have no real structure behind this "community driven insulin solution". It really appears like their end goal is simply to dodge the patents (which is noble on its own i guess, but is useless if you don't have ACTUAL production plants out there) and not to create safe, proper facilities to supply insulin, instead throwing it at volunteers. And we all know volunteers are just so great and can do no wrong, right, mormon troubled teen industry? Right, salvation army? Right, LGB alliance? You seem awfully blind to the fact when a lot of these people say "shed", they fucking mean sheds.
Everyone is outraged insulin isn't free, but we're not gonna get poisoned for the sake of your savior complex.

Jumping in briefly as a pharmacy student to say fucking THANK you. I'm so tired of abled morons acting like life-saving medication is just so easy to make and that supply chains are useless because I have studied this stuff and I know it's a grueling task to make any medication in even small dosages – let alone insulin. There's SO MUCH WRONG with the shed claims it infuriates me so I'll debunk it before iftar
To start, technical aspects! let's go over what a shed doesn't have;
HEPA filters, rounded corners, structural prep for production of medicine such as resin coating on the floors and healthy circulation
Black, Gray and White rooms (level of sterilization) to accommodate different excipients and their sensitivity to contaminants +
Proper PPE practices. This one is self explanatory
A comprehensive quality control process including in-process testing and final product testing performed in sterile environments
FUCKING MICROMOLECULE PER M³ OF AIR LIMITS
Literally any form of actually sterile material storage – no, you can't just put everything in a fridge, proper sealing and storage varies from environment to environment. Also. Air contaminants. Because you don't have a HEPA filter or a hood
Proper equipment for the purification and concentration of extracts if you're doing pharmacognosy – and let's be real, in a world without supply chains you'll be forced to extract your medicaments from plants yourself
Efficient extraction practices – without supply chains, good fucking luck getting your hands on an ultrasonic extractor or even better a supercriticial fluid extractor for your thermolabile medicaments. Cloroform wasted by the liters BABy
Sterilization. Sterilization. Sterilization.
Let's be real you're not gonna be able to make bulk or match the production level of even a barebones lab when you don't have the equipment necessary for that nor the suitable environment for that– again, a fucking shed. So you're gonna need a small storage form. Ampoules? Well get ready to pick up glasswork or buy one of these bad boys.
Tumblr media
A non-contaminated batch because it's a shed and you're washing your beakers in water thinking that's good enough. You just made death-fluid and potentially are causing an outbreak of blood-borne disease. Yippee
And that's just the essentials of any drug's production. I just went looking for the production of insulin in the middle east because I hail from around these parts and found a JULPHAR plant working on exclusively producing insulin– the first in the region, so they had no experience in doing this stuff. Ok, let's look at what they do.
Oh, they're using DNA technology and industrial-level fermentation tanks? And they STILL needed supply chains to even get their hands on the needed crystals in the beginning?
The entire production process is monitored and controlled using a process control system with a capacity of about 10,000 items of input and output information.
Hm. Looks more advanced than a shed to me.
Secondly– societal aspects! what about the disabled people who physically can't produce their own insulin? People with asthma, physical weakness, autism or ADHD? Having to stand there in a humid hot environment stirring a disgusting tank of e.coli – as harmless as it may be – is a lot of strain. Will you produce it for them? In that case you'll need to upgrade your equipment to handle this new load and actually would need to pay further attention to your batch quality. What will you do when your insulin contaminates people? Even the best factories have a risk factor.
What will you do when you inevitably make people sick?
What will you do if someone dies?
How will you identify the source of contamination? How will you retract your insulin from the community-? OH.
ANOTHER GOOD POINT. LABELING PRACTICE. Most laymen don't know about proper unified labeling that's concise, informative and easy to understand. But I think I've gone on long enough for the quick and easy insulin shed myth to fall apart.

girl typing a very specific question into google search bar, scrunching her face as she takes time to make sure she hasn't made any spelling errors, hitting enter, shaking her head as google only presents her with unhelpful websites that don't answer her query at all, moving her cursor back to the search bar and clicking on it so she can carefully write 'reddit' at the end, hitting enter again, sighing with relief as she finds a link to a reddit post asking the exact question she needed answered posted in a subreddit for a very niche topic, finally moving her cursor to click on the link, wondering why she didn't go straight to the subreddit earlier, only to be met with a deleted comment with a reply from the OP stating 'that was very helpful, thanks', sighing with frustration as she moves her cursor back to the search bar so she can copy the link and paste it into the wayback machine,
