saw a woman comforting her sobbing child saying “i already told you, you have to keep looking forward, looking back just gets you hurt” and i thought she was sharing a beautiful life lesson about the importance of letting go of regret and resentment. but it turns out the kid just wasn’t looking where he was going and ran into a wall

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible, deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance

2.It would be so fucking funny

I've seen certain people liking my posts and I wanted to say something.

For the last time, if you don't/can't understand than liking fictional things (any kind of fiction) doesn't make you support the same thing in real life, if you're against """""romanticizing""""" "toxic" ships (for example) but then you proceed to harass real people or tell them to kill themselves (or if you aren't against people harassing real people), block me now. I beg you.

Because I can't stand you.

I swear to God, you're the worst, and if you are happy harassing REAL people with REAL emotions, if you can't understand the difference between liking something in fiction and supporting it in real life (which it ISN'T the same) then I think you're not mentally stable enough to be in the Internet, and I don't want you interacting with me AT ALL.

Just created this blog, in the hopes of spreading the word and getting more people interested in this show. (And hopefully getting to connect with like...the 5 other people who are fans lol.) I cannot believe The Following is so obscure, and has...well, no following (👉👉) The fact that it didn't take off because of Joe/Ryan alone...I mean, I've watched Hannibal, and there are many parallels but I'd honestly say Joe is even more blatant in his love/obsession for Ryan than Hannibal is for Will. I don't know...I'm just truly, honestly shocked that it's not a hugely popular ship. It's a bummer, there's practically no content out there 😭

Did you know that it only takes about two people proving quality interactions to keep a story going?

This isn’t a pointed post, it’s just me making an interesting observation from my own experience. As a fanfic author, I love seeing kudos! I love comments! I love knowing people like my work! And those things do motivate me. But the thing that provides the most forward momentum and inspiration is direct, specific interaction with me that usually happens in my Discord server.

It’s more like those two or three people are playing a game with me instead of just enjoying my content. I love that! Come play in this imaginary world with me! And it’s not even (necessarily) the same people across my different WIPs. But just having one or two or three people come play with me when I’m sharing my rough draft is what gets stories finished instead of stuck for a long time.

Anyway, just an observation.
