the trees you grew up with have not forgotten you. their branches still whisper your name in the breeze and their roots remember the paths your feet once traced through their shade.

Day Eleven of Runic Journey:
Isa ᛁ
This Rune came at a lovely time with the New Moon today. Isa is the rune of stillness, ice, and stasis. It signifies a pause, a frozen moment in time where forward movement is halted. In divination, Isa often appears when things feel stuck or progress is slowed, urging patience and reflection rather than action. It can represent emotional coldness, isolation, or a need to wait until clarity returns. However, Isa also brings the gift of preservation as it can help solidify intentions, reinforce boundaries, and provide the stillness needed for deep inner insight.
Now, in Norse cosmology, ice is one of the primal forces that gave birth to life — with the two first realms, Niflheim (world of ice & mist) and Muspelheim (world of fire), meeting to create the first being Ymir, who would become the ancestor to all jötnar and the Gods. Even when everything was frozen, potential still existed.
So Isa, ice, stillness, and frozen breath, is not just about stagnation or numbness. It’s about origin, where everything begins. Even when it looks like nothing is happening, something sacred is forming beneath the surface. With this is mind, my intention for the day was, “I call on Isa to protect me in this quiet, in this hurt, in this time between. What is frozen now will thaw when the time is right.”
In the morning times, I had sudden feelings of sadness and had a good cry and calming moment after. I have been talking to “Gardener” spirit for the past few days, and I actually haven’t talk to Gods in awhile. But anyways, they have all encouraged me to take a break— so this rune came at a good time. I had a pretty calming time the rest of the day. My boyfriend even did the New Moon ritual with me and helped me make moon water. I was very happy that he wanted to do it with me because he’s not very spiritual (well he’s very powerful with intuition and things but he doesn’t believe lol). This was a lovely day and I enjoyed working with this rune :)
also, today’s Angel numbers I caught: 11:11, 3:33, 444

yay ! I finally finished all my writings and posted all the rune days up-to-date :) sorry for the spam lol. I am cautious about tomorrow, as I can feel myself getting a little sick. However, since tomorrow’s rune is Isa, which is about rest in a way, I still plan on continuing the Runic Journey for tomorrow. Thank you everyone for being understanding of this small delay in logs, and of the potential spam on your pages haha.
small update about Runic Journey: I am still doing one rune each day, but I might be late posting my writings about each one and my experience. Yesterday was Raidho and today was Kenaz, so a lot of things have been open and brought to my attention on my healing and spiritual path. I’ve had some pretty intense meditations and shadow work done that has taken a lot out of me energetically. I know no one really sees my posts but just in case lol. I am going to try to take some time away from doing divination and meditations for right now, and focus on myself. The next runes seem to be rather positive so I’ll continue my rune journey for now. My head has been hurting a lot these past days, but I am grateful for the guidance I have received. Thank you for understanding :)!

Day Ten of Runic Journey:
Nauthiz ᚾ
Nauthiz is the rune of need, necessity, and constraint. It represents hardship, limitations, and the inner tension that arises when desires are unmet or progress is blocked. It teaches resilience and the power of patience, urging you to confront what you lack and find strength through discipline and self-mastery.
So, I was a little nervous about this Rune today as I was yesterday with Hagalaz lol. Though uncomfortable, Nauthiz ultimately encourages transformation through facing necessity and learning to work with what is, rather than resisting it. So, my intention today was, “I meet myself where I am, not where I think I should be. Small effort is still progress” — as I felt a little lazy and unmotivated today.
This rune was really aligned for me in that aspect. I honestly felt tired and even saddened, just wanting to lay in bed all day. I had a huge list of all the things I wanted to get done and I just didn’t want to start any of it. But, trying to stay true to the rune, I narrowed it down to the most important tasks and rested for a little before starting them.
It was rather fun once I got started, as I was washing dishes and cleaning while watching a documentary on Norse mythology. Once I completed that task, I allowed myself to rest and watch a movie while I applied for jobs on my phone and wrote more in my journal for blog posts and shadow work. So, my sort of “review” for this rune is that it is helpful. While I had to be the one to push through the laziness and get started, it became easier and perhaps more motivating after.

Day Nine of Runic Journey:
Hagalaz ᚺ
I was rather nervous about activating this rune on me today… as it is a rune of disruption, transformation, and uncontrolled forces— as it literally means hailstorm. It represents sudden change that breaks old patterns, sometimes painfully, but ultimately clears the way for growth.
While its energy can feel harsh, it often serves a deeper purpose: destroying illusions or outdated structures to make room for new understanding. Hagalaz is a rune of initiation through challenge and the wisdom found in chaos, much like “The Tower” in tarot.
With all this in mind, I tried to make my intention as safe and detailed as possible, with my affirmation being, “I am open to gently seeking my truth, if disruption comes, let it bring me clarity needed for my growth.”
I was rather nervous all day haha but it actually went well! This “chaos” actually affected my boyfriend, and I was able to stay a calm presence to support him. It is why I believe it was not as bad — because it helped him to get his feelings out and to gain my support.
However, I will probably only use this rune in the future when combined with another lol. I was able to pass the day but perhaps I was lucky.

Day Eight of Runic Journey:
Wunjo ᚹ
Wunjo is the rune of joy, harmony, and inner contentment. It represents a sense of well-being that arises when one lives in alignment with their true self and community. In divination, Wunjo often signals happiness, success in relationships, or the resolution of conflict. It encourages gratitude, celebration, and a focus on what brings genuine fulfillment.
This rune reflects a time of harmony and prosperity, where you feel secure, connected, and aligned with your community or personal goals. It represents the joy of achieving a significant milestone and the comfort of being in a supportive environment. The symbol of the run symbolizes the tribal flag, under which the gathering of all people of a tribe takes place. A sense of camaraderie, peace and union unites people and makes them live together without quarrels and disagreements.
So today, for me, my intention was rather simple as well, as I had a free day to do anything, which was to clean and cleanse the home. I activated it with the affirmation, “I return to myself with joy. I clean my space not as a duty, but as an act of self-love and alignment."
This rune isn’t about false happiness and it is more about earned joy. So while I didn’t necessarily feel pure happiness, I felt a sort of completion and at the end of the day I got a lot of work done. There wasn’t much connection during the day — as I no one else was home and I actually had a disagreement with my boyfriend — but I had TOO much connection at night, with my brother talking to me for hours until 4am, not taking “I’m going to bed now” as a sign to leave. Sigh.
I overall enjoyed my experience with the Rune and did feel a sort of happiness and gratefulness for the work done. I also had a desire to begin planting the flowers my mother received for Mother’s Day, which reminded me how much gardening makes me happy. It is something I haven’t done for so long and even being outside and watering the plants made me feel content.
