I hope you don’t have too much trouble falling asleep. I hope you wake up to some good news or the wonderful smell of coffee. I hope you wear something that makes you so happy and confident that you walk with your head held high. I hope you eat well, I hope you eat yummy things. I hope you have a bubble bath or a nice long shower. I hope you put on your favourite comfy clothes/pj’s and take some time out from the rest of the world. I hope you give yourself a break. I hope when you lay I’m bed you can smile, a sleepy smile with your eyes half closed, and whisper to the starts “I did okay today”.

when an artist wants to show you their art

or a writer wants you to read what they’ve written

it’s quite often an expression of trust

because a poem or a story or a painting are often things that come from the heart

little pieces of the artists themselves

and if they’re willing to share it with you

you should appreciate it
