#GlobalQuranCompletion on the 27th Night of Ramadhan

As-Salāmu `Alaykum family, hope you’re all well and making the most of Ramadhan. The other day I was reading Qurʾān and I had an idea. You know Ramadhan is the month of the Qurʾān. It’s why we try our best to do as many completions as we can within the month.

And remember how when you were younger or even now you’d all get together to complete a Qurʾān by everyone reading a juz (portion) each? Well I was thinking wouldn’t it be lovely if I could complete a Qurʾān with my global family! #GlobalQuranCompletion :) 

It would be where we have one person from different countries all reading one juz on the same day. So we could say we read together as one. There’s no special virtues for this. It’s just something my heart wants to feel closeness to my global family. :)

So here’s how it will go. If you want to take part, tweet me back saying you want in, and the country you live in that you’ll represent. I’m looking for at least 30 different people from 30 different countries, and who knows if the demand is high enough we could have more. OK so I’m in, obviously, and I’ll be representing the UK and the 29 other people & their chosen countries are below.

So here’s how its going to work. 30 people have been chosen from 30 countries, to read their allocated Juz on the 27th night of Ramadhan in their countries. Don’t worry about timings, just read your countries allocated Juz on the 27th night in your country.

In this way there will be a completion of the Qurʾān done together by so many of us from around the globe and it will sweep through the different timezones  inshāʾAllāh.  Everybody who’s from the same country and want to take part in the #GlobalQuranCompletion, please read the Juz for your country on the 27th night.

In this way we’ll have completed inshāʾAllāh many many #GlobalQuranCompletions while confirming at least the one officially through our list below.  Oh and if your country wasn’t in the 30 and you want to take part, read the Juz for the country closest to you. People from there will be reading their Juz around same time as you. Qurʾān completion sweeping the world on the 27th night inshāʾAllāh. :)

Again just to reiterate, this doesn’t have any special significance. I just wanted to organise something that will make me feel connected to my #GlobalFamily. We are #OneUmmah.
