THIS SATURDAY IN MARSDEN: The Cuckoo's Nest and Marsden Cuckoos W.I. have a great fashion show this weekend. It takes place Saturday the 17th, 2pm until 4pm at the Parochial Hall (Clough Lea, Marsden, HD7 6DN) and it's only £6 per person, which includes coffee and a cake! Joined an art class/group in the village today, wanted to try some new stuff (without having to buy a bunch of new supplies) and step out of my comfort zone a bit... well, I did. And now this thing is going to give me nightmares for a few weeks, at least!!! It's supposed to be a tabby cat (honest). I found it quite challenging to draw within a certain time, and to draw something that I wouldn't normally pick, plus I've never used chalk pastels before (and hoo boy, are they messy), so I'm hardly ecstatic about the end result, lol! However, it was a really chill session, the people there were nice and I had quite a lot of fun doing it.
