Rikido's family owns a berry farm off Route 117, across the way from the Pokemon Daycare. A large section of the farm serves as a community garden, so Rikido has met all sorts of trainers, and a number of famous coordinators. Best Jeanist, Nejire, and Hawkes are all among his clientele.

Rikido has known Koji since they were kids. He encouraged Koji to apply to the trainer's school, and travels with him to school everyday.

Rikido also translates for Koji when someone doesn't speak ASL.

While Rikido is a dedicated Trainer, he's actually more passionate about cooking. He wants to get strong enough to travel the world, learning new cultural cuisines.

Despite this passion, Rikido keeps his dreams quiet. He thinks it's uncool, so he throws himself towards training for the Pokemon League.

Koji's Staravia has been with him since he was a baby, and they're inseperable. Whenever Staravia looses Koji in a crowd, it takes to the air and cries.

Koji's grandparents own the Pokemon Daycare on Route 117. He moved in with them when he was young. Recently, he began attending the Rustboro Trainer's School.

Koji has known Rikido Sato for years; the Sato family's farm is a little ways south of the Daycare.

Despite Mauville being the closer city, Koji prefers to travel to Verdanturf for his shopping. The route is more picturesque, and the crowds in Mauville scare him a little.

Koji participates in Contests as a hobby and has won a number of cuteness ribbons in Verdanturf. He doesn't plan on becoming a pro coordinator, however. He hopes to enroll in Ranger classes after finishing Trainer's School.

Koji, like most of the class, was initially terrified of Aizawa and almost returned home to the daycare center. He only stayed because of how happy and affectionate Pincushion and Milkyfeet were towards him. Someone who is loved by their pokemon that much can't be all bad.

TRAINER PROFILE: EIJIRO KIRISHIMA

" Eijiro's easy-going and affectionate personality endears him to both pokemon and people. He raises his pokemon with passion. Eijiro even trained some of the Pokemon working in the Lavaridge Gym. "

Eijiro moved to Rustboro to attend the Trainer's School with his childhood friend, Mina Ashido. They share an apartment with Mei Hatsume, an intern at Devon Corp.

Eijiro was incredibly timid as a kid. While he's grown to be very gregarious and self-motivated on his own, he still has a tendency to defer to Mina's judgment when they're together.

When Eijiro first began breeding pokemon, he started with Makuhita and Hariyama. Rager is one of his oldest ladies, and is the elder sister of Mina's Hariyama, Cameron.

Gleamer, Eijiro's shiny Golem, is his pride and joy. He has stellar IVs, and Eijiro has been searching for a shiny Graveler to pair him with.

Digger and Hider, on the otherhand, are solely contest-focused. They're a few generations removed from a strong Iida Family line, and Eijiro has been carefully breeding for a more sleek, rounded carapace.

Eijiro and Denki Kaminari's upbeat personalities mesh well together, but they often make worse decisions together than they would apart. Combined with Mina Ashido, they make a headstrong and enthusiastic squad. This might be how they managed to incorporate Katsuki Bakugo.

Eijiro was greatly impressed by Hitoshi when he first joined the class, despite the other's attitude. Hitoshi's somewhat sardonic personality is a walk in the park compared to Katsuki's friendship, so they work well together, even if Hitoshi wouldn't exactly call them friends.

TRAINER PROFILE: DENKI KAMINARI

" Denki is a soft-hearted and social trainer who learned guitar to impress a girl. He doesn't take life very seriously, so he's suprisingly hard to upset. "

Denki attends the Trainer's School in Rustboro. While he applied on a whim, he's suprisingly dedicated.

Denki learned guitar quickly - Leader Yamada considers him musically talented.

Sadly, Denki's quitar skills have not helped him pick up a date.

He panics under pressure. This frustrates his pokemon, and they'll occasionally ignore his commands.

Denki's flaky personality often makes him the brunt of Kyoka Jiro and Hitoshi Shinso's humor. He takes it in stride, and enjoys getting under their skin. Despite their friction, he actually fares better when battling with/alongside them: their bickering distracts him from his performance anxiety.

Mina Ashido and Denki have very similar senses of humor, and quickly formed something of a posse with Eijiro Kirishima and Mashirao Ojiro. Denki's even managed to get on Katsuki Bakugo's 'good' side, although he's more skittish of the blonde than Eijiro.

Denki grew up near Mauville Gym and knows it's Leader, Hizashi Yamada, quite well. Denki's guitar is even a hand-me-down from the Leader; it's an old Epiphone.

TRAINER PROFILE: MASHIRAO OJIRO

" A plain boy from Dewford Town. Mashirao's strength lies in his creative use of his pokemon's own anatomy and physiology. "

Mashirao was born and raised in Dewford Town. Unlike the majority of the students, he elected to stay in Dewford instead of moving to Rustboro City. Instead he takes the ferry every morning with the Dewford Gym Leader, Nemuri Kayama, who teaches at the Trainer's School.

Mashirao enjoys the sense of accomplishment that comes from winning contests: he sees battles as a test of the trainer's knowledge and growth, and contests as a test of the pokemon's condition and bond. Like Shoto Todoroki, he aims to conquer both the league and the contest circuit.

Having trained at Dewford, Rustboro, and Petalburg gyms, Mashirao has developed solid battle sense, and a varied fighting style.

While they had never met before attending the Trainer's School, Mashirao, Denki Kaminari, Mina Ashido, and Eijiro Kirishima became friends quickly. Mashirao sometimes stays with Eijiro in Lavaridge Town for the weekend, to train together.

At seventeen, Mashirao is the oldest student in the Trainer's Classes. It took Nemuri three years to convince him to apply.

He takes extra contest-oriented lessons from Leader Nemuri after class, along with Ochaco Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Izuku Midoriya, and Eijiro Kirishima.

Ochaco came to Hoenn because it’s home to Best Jeanist, one of the most famous Coordinators in the world. Hoenn also has the highest average contest payout, at almost $200 per Contest, at the Normal Rank.

Umper is a much higher level than Star and Swing. She was one of Mr. Uraraka’s best workers and was hatched when Uraraka was only four years old.

Ochaco is a psychic, and one of two in Shota Aizawa’s class at the trainer’s school.

Ochaco originally planned to go straight to the Coordinator’s Academy upon arriving in Hoenn, but was caught in a fight with Team Aqua. She watched Team Aqua ransack the Oceanic Museum. She applied to the Trainer’s School to learn how to protect her pokemon and others, but still plans on attending the Coordinator’s School once she finishes the class.

TRAINER PROFILE: TENYA IIDA

" Second son of the prestigious Iida family, Tenya wants nothing more than to live up to the standards set by his parents and elder siblings. "

Son of "Hoenn's Power Couple," the Petalburg Gym Leaders: Yobu and Nagai Iida. Tenya is incredibly proud of his lineage. He wants to take over the gym once he completes the League.

Tenya is the youngest of three siblings. He has an elder brother and sister, though only his elder brother, Tensei, still lives on the family estate.

Tenya often tagged along to League meetings as a child, so he's familiar with most of the current Gym Leaders. He was often babysat by other gym leaders, especially Nemuri Kayama and Chizome Akaguro.

Like Denki Kaminari, he has met Shota Aizawa before, but not since years prior to entering the trainer's school.

Tenya doesn't call his pokemon by their nicknames. The names are simply to make box organization easier. And also to tell the difference between all of the family's Aron. (There's so many Aron. So many.)

I’ve run into a little issue: I’m much more familiar with the English names for all the human characters in the games. While I don’t think that’s too off-putting for the Pokemon, It’s a little odd for all the MHA characters to have Japanese names while the NPCs do not.

Because the vast majority of the “important” NPCs (Prof. Birch, Roxanne, ect.) are going to be replaced by a MHA counterpart, I think I’m going to use the Japanese names for the few named NPCs from the original games that will pop up.

Hence why Mr. Briney is called Old Man Hagi! Peeko is still Peeko though.

While she has yet to earn any badges, Tsuyu conquered both the Ula'Ula and Poni Island Challenges, making her more experienced than most of her schoolmates.

Tsuyu has a baby brother and baby sister, and is taking care of them while her parents are away on buisness.

Tsuyu frequently swims and dives off the cliffs along Petalburg Woods and Route 104. She's close with Mr. Briney (Old Man Hagi), and views him as a grandfather figure. Hagi entertains Tsuyu's siblings while she's in class.

Tsuyu grew up in Alola, being born on Ula'Ula and moving to Akala Island (Konikoni City) at eleven. Her parents' buisness went international when she was thirteen, and shortly after they moved to Hoenn.

While taking care of her younger siblings has made Tsuyu responsible, observant, and cooperative, it has also made it difficult for her to express her own wants and needs. Outside of her personal feelings, however, Tsuyu is generally quite blunt.

Mina's family is from Unova, but she doesn't remember it very well. They moved to Hoenn when she was two, and have only returned to visit family four times since then.

Mina came to the Trainer's school alongside Eijiro Kirishima at the suggestion of the Lavaridge Gym leader. Mina wants to continue on to Pokemon Ranger classes once the beginner's course is over.

Mina's eager personality makes it easy for her to make friends. She quickly befriended Denki Kaminari and Ojiro Mashirao.

In a similar vein, she's one of the few students completely at ease around Katsuki Bakugo and Hitoshi Shinso.

Mina and Eijiro practically grew up in the Lavaridge Gym, and their pokemon have ample battle experience. However, neither Mina nor her pokemon have much experience vs trainers and pokemon that utilize special attack.

Yuga is working towards attending Tsunagu Hakamata 's Coordinator Academy in Lilycove City. He came to the Trainer's School to study under Nemuri Kayama, a gym leader and former Contest Star.

Yuga and Kyoka Jiro are both from Kalos, and first met when they were chosen to recieve Professor Sycamore's new starters.

Yuga and Kyoka come from opposite backgrounds. Yuga's mother was quite poor and often away working during his childhood, so he spent a lot of time alone.

Yuga moved to Hoenn after his mother passed away. He wants to make a fresh start and re-invent himself.

He inherited most of his mother's pokemon, but left all but Opal in the care of Professor Sycamore. He phones the Professor to speak with them when he gets homesick.

Of the students in Mr. Aizawa's class, Yuga is the least battle-minded, but not the weakest. His heavy useage of TMs and HMs in preparation for contests means his pokemon posess moves beyond their level, and outside the standard skillset of their species. As such, he can be difficult to predict, especially if one hasn't battled him before.

Fandom: My Hero Academia

Ship: Present Mic x Eraserhead (Yamada Hizashi x Aizawa Shota)

Word Count: 424

Desc: It’s Mic going on about how amazing Aizawa is. Rated T, but only bc there’s a little swearing in there.

Yamada Hizashi is twenty-five when everything falls into place.

Shota, his best friend since high school, is sitting across his kitchen table, engrossed in an explanation of the paperwork between them. They're on page four, side "A", of what looks like at least 30 double sided pages. Hizashi's a little intimidated. Shota and Nemuri, another former schoolmate, have each written a recommendation for him, but no amount of recommendations is going to get him hired without a teaching license, and these papers are his only shot at getting one without going through four years of college.

Needless to say, Hizashi is feeling the squeeze. He needs that teaching license to work with Shota. He needs that teaching license because they aren't seeing enough of each other anymore, now that Hizashi has his own timeslot at the radio station, and Shota has a rowdy group of second year hero students he needs to wrangle and teach and raise.

And isn't that a crazy thought: Shota, a teacher. Shota, no, Eraserhead, the hero who does the underground hero work no one else wants to do. Eraserhead, the man who works shitty hours for shitty pay because he wants to help people, even if he can't stand being around 90% of the human population. Eraserhead, the prickly man who was once a prickly transfer student who sat next to him without a word for two weeks, before turning to him one morning and demanding teach me how to talk with my hands, and three days later, what's your name, anyway? Aizawa Shota, the boy who slept in the hallway in a yellow sleeping bag during breaks because what better way could I spend my time than sleeping? Aizawa Shota, the one who let Hizashi pick his hero name.

Aizawa Shota, throwing everything he has and more into molding fledgling heroes. Bragging about them, even, but in a roundabout way, because god forbid they realize he would lay down his life for them. God forbid they learn he stays up till 3:00am researching dyslexia and keratin and quantum superposition, then crafts training exercises tailored to his students' weaknesses because they're the future Hizashi; I have to make sure they're ready.

Aizawa Shota, and the look on his face as he drawls you'd love her Hizashi, she's just as gaudy as you are, and the look on his face when Hizashi replies, you mentioned your English teacher wanted to retire...
