It's been several months since I lost down to 237pounds. Today, I'm at 224pounds, so the weight loss continues, it's just painfully slow. I've been at this weight for about 10 days now, and, hoping that I can lose another 10 pounds before the end of the year, and, keep it off.
If I accomplish this goal, I will be 210 pounds, and, just under a BMI of 40. I still have such a long way to go before I reach my ultimate goal of 130 pounds, but I feel like I am off to a good start compared to years past. I just have to keep making healthier choices in my diet and other areas of my life, and, eventually, I will get there.

Day 365 of My Accountability Project
So, I started a nice, new shiny blog last year, to track my weight loss and health goals, and made exactly 1 or 2 posts, and, promptly forgot about this, LOL!
My weight has been up and down a lot over the past year. On May 4th of this year I actually had regained all of the weight I had lost, and was back up to 261 pounds!
I went back on a healthy eating plan, and, have been trying to walk some each day. I was doing really well for the first month, and then I got a kidney stone.
My weight loss has slowed dramatically since then, although part of the issue may be pain and swelling. I am still passing stone fragments, almost a month later, although most of the pain is in my bladder instead of my left kidney now.
I'm down to 237 pounds since May 4, 2023 though, and that is a little less than I was last year and last month, so I guess I will count that as sort of a win, or win-ish.
Healthy weight loss is at a rate of about 2 1/2 pounds a week, so by July 30th I would like to be down 10 pounds, or weigh 227 pounds. I will try to post an update next month, if, I remember!
Good luck to everyone else on a #healthylifestyle #healthyeating and/or #weightloss #journey. Let's get it!

Day 1 of My Healthy Lifestyle Journey

Hey All.
Overall, I think I did pretty good on my first day of this healthy lifestyle journey. Above is a picture of this morning's breakfast: one 5-minute hard-boiled egg, sliced, one Roma tomato, sliced, one medium carrot (Yes, the yellow bits are one of those rainbow carrots!) and a sliced clove of garlic, some dried thyme and some pumpkin pie spice mix. 130 total calories, y'all!
I got some walking in this morning as well: 7,000 steps or 2.7 miles in a little over an hour!
Lunch was a small, cored and sliced apple, 2 tablespoons of JIF no sugar added peanut butter, and another lovely sliced, hard-boiled egg. Just 388 calories!
I went out to eat at a local restaurant with my husband for supper. I got a garden salad, which was mainly iceberg lettuce, with a few diced tomatoes, cucumbers and green bell peppers and about an ounce of shredded cheddar cheese. I had one tablespoon Italian dressing with it. I also had 7 corn tortilla chips and about 1/2 cup of spinach cheese dip -- that's really where I messed up. Still, I ate a lot less than I normally would have. I estimate about 500-590 calories for dinner, and just over 1,000 for the day.
I had about ten 10-ounce glasses of either water or unsweetened tea today as well, so, overall, I count today as a #lifestylewin!
I formally weighed myself this morning, before I got started, and I was actually 257.8 pounds, instead of the 260 that I assumed. I've decided to weigh in each day to see how it goes!
Have a great day and week, everyone!
All my best --- G

My Accountability Project by G. Day 0
Hello, Dear Reader. Welcome to my blog. I have been trying and failing to live a healthy lifestyle for quite a while now. Over the years, I've tried nearly every diet, prescription and OTC concoction, fads and other weight loss gimmicks known to humankind, all to no avail.
Sure, I've managed to lose a few pounds, but I've never been able to keep the pounds off for any length of time.
This is a place where I will attempt to record my journey as I try to make better choices, lose weight and become a stronger, healthier and hopefully happier me.
I don't really feel comfortable enough in my own skin to share my name, or any pictures, just yet so please feel free to think of me as G, which may, or may not, be one of the initials of my real name.
The clock on my computer tells me that it's a new day; Thursday, June 30, 2022, to be exact. It's ground zero, the first moments of a new day, and hopefully a new way of life for me.
I'm 54, 62 inches tall and I weigh 260 pounds. It must be a new way of life, a healthier way, and it begins NOW.
