first of all I'm not writing this in order to fight or argue with anyone so if y'all disagree with me please just scroll down, I don't wanna get into any arguments.

I'm too tired of explaining myself every time i tell people that i like Manson or Falling in Reverse or whatever problematic musician is considered cancelled nowadays.

listen, i like the bands for the music. i really thought that's fucking clear when you tell someone that you like a band - music is the main fucking reason to like a band/artist.

and every single time there's someone coming up to me with "but Marilyn did [insert a felony]" or "but Ronnie is [insert]phobic and rude".

listen i totally understand why you wouldn't like them. i get it, i really do. but i personally don't give a flying fuck about what Ronnie's woke / non woke opinions are or whatever the fuck Manson is being accused of - these people are NOT my friends. okay?

they're musicians who make music - the music is cool - I'm a fan. it's simple as that.

I'm not here to defend them or play Devil's advocate - i simply don't care.

i don't have to agree with them on every matter or support all their opinions to like the songs they make.

there are people i personally can't stand like MGK or Kanye but yk what, if you come up to me and tell me you listen to them I'll say "okay cool" and not make a fucking scene calling out every little thing about them. i simply don't give a SHIT. just bc i don't like them, doesn't mean you can't listen to them.
