I’ve been painting on and off for a year, can’t seem to improve.

I painted no 15 tonight, tried working with sunlight for the second time, I think there’s improvement on the first time but room for a lot more. I’m enjoying this journey although a lil frustrated with the lack of speed that I am improving.

This is 13, I’m happy, I really like this one. I think of my mumma when I look at it. Nice feeling.

#12 I enjoyed painting this one, needs more tho not sure what

Number 11 and I definitely feel like I’m going backwards, starting to work with light but don’t think it’s very noticeable or realistic, I’ll keep practicing.

So this is number 10. Not happy I’ve stopped this, not what I was imagining before I started.

Painting no 9. I’m positive about this one . Still work to be done. Once I’ve gained more technique and skill I will come back to this. Foreground and background need blending somehow I think.

#8 feeling deflated that I don’t feel I’m improving

So I’m on my 7th painting now, I’m quite pleased with this one, think I might come back to it and try and make the bushes on the left hand side more realistic, very flat atm,

This is my sixth painting now, I feel like I need to add more to it. The foreground looks a little spars or lost.

Painting 5, I’ve stopped this painting because I still haven’t got the eye or skill to add the detail that I would like. I think I’ll spend some time improving in these areas and come back to it.

So this is my 4th painting now, very simple and little skill or even much technique, I’m sure my 7yr old could probably improve on it however it’s quite effective so I quite like it.

3rd painting, lack of enthusiasm for this one, not sure why, feeling deflated that I can think of how to proceed with it.

My second painting, found it very difficult to create depth to the landscape. I felt like I had it at one stage and couldn’t seem to stop, before I knew it, it started to look very flat. 😩

My first painting. Really wasn’t sure what I was doing, just knew I wanted to paint a candle. I love candle light.
