Shopkick

Shopkick is a shopping app. You use the app in two main ways: shopping in store and scanning items to earn Kicks or shop online through the app to earn Kicks. You make a goal to cash out your Kicks for gift cards. 

For example, a $10 gift card to PayPal is 2,550 kicks. I like to earn my kicks by scanning things in store. You can also buy items to earn extra kicks, but you don’t have to. I like just wandering around and scanning things. It’s like a fun scavenger hunt. You can also watch videos daily to earn extra kicks.

I have only made $15 through Shopkick, but I tend to forget that I have it. 

Scanning items only brings you about 10-30 kicks per item, and you can only scan the item once per store. Usually stores have 100-500 kicks in scans. HOWEVER, there are weeks where you can scan a LOT in certain stores. (Right now in June 2019, I can get 790 kicks in scans from Best Buy and 1,085 kicks in scans from Walmart.) You can’t always find everything, but if you have time to kill, it’s a good app to have.

Ibotta

Ibotta is a shopping app. You select items that you are going to buy, buy them, and then upload your receipt. Ibotta gives you cash back on your items. There are a lot of name brand items, but there are also “any item” or “any brand” rewards as well. You can join a team (mine if you use the code below) and if you and the team hit certain milestones within a month, you can earn bonus money.

You can shop at lots of different stores, both in store and through the Ibotta app. 

I have used Ibotta for a little over two years now and I have made $206.06. 

You cash out of Ibotta once you’ve earned at least $20 and can get gift cards or send the money straight to your Paypal account. I always cash out to Paypal and this (and other things) help to pay for my Netflix & Hulu subscriptions!

This does take some practice and careful shopping, but if you were going to buy the items anyway, you might as well get some extra $$!

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a money making site. You can watch videos, take surveys, shop through their site, play games, discover new content, and more to earn Swagbucks (SB). There is a website and an app, as well as related apps that can earn you extra SB.

Once you’ve earned enough Swagbucks, you can cash out your SB for gift cards. 

I have made $45 this month (June 2019) alone, and am on track to earn about $25 more this month. (I am also not working in the summer due to teaching, so I have a LOT of free time.)
