Story:
Winter Solstice has come to Rybalka. The town—a frontier melting pot of the Vikmordere and Klavek peoples—prepares to ward the coming darkness of winter’s longest night with the Vigil of Light. A palpable sense of dread permeates the droves of people who have come to take part in the ceremony. The air crackles with the sound of fire: the spiritual voice of warriors long dead telling the living stories of their past glories, or so the tradition of the Vikmordere people claims. The soft glow of a thousand candles have been lit to combat the creeping darkness, and in their glow a hymn begins to drift across the town, but darkness always follows the light…A mile below the surface of Aventyr, darkness stirs. From inside the husk of a colossal arachnid, a plot is spun. Along its strands, hungry mouths break the uneasy truce between the dwarves of Embla and the drow of Holoth. Death stalks the underworld, feasting on the souls of the living and the recently dead. Suffering has become the currency used to purchase unimaginable power. Hungry eyes turn to the surface as their long-awaited result seems to be on the brink of fruition. The price, however, has hatched a multitude of discontents. The question is, who will have the fortitude to brave the underworld; who will have guile to deal with the discontent? The darkness consumes, but the flames of Rybalka willing, the light will follow—assuming you can bear its torch!

Session run time3-4 hoursNumber of Openings:5 seat available **Message mysticvhedd#6266 if you’re interested** Story he days have turned to darkness without end: the Everlasting Rime. The night sky has been covered with a curtain of light: the Frostmaiden’s aurora. Its beauty illuminates the Sea of Night, but offers little in the way of succor to the Ten Towns. Hardy beyond the ken of those who populate the southern stretch of the Sword Coast, the people of the Ten Town are survivors. Divorced from the blessings of the Lathander’s light, however, they cannot survive for long. Still, without the morning’s cascading glare, secrets do stir: tyrants heed the fiendish whispers of their innermost desire; a long-forgotten Necropolis of Netherese construction awaits; the Queen of Ice mourns the seasons of frozen grace lost to the thaw of spring. Death stalks across the crunch of snow-encrusted tundra.
The winds howl; the blizzards scream. When their mournful cry abates, the silence of exhaustion settles upon the Icewind Dale like a shroud. It is then that one secret whispers of a coming doom, one secret mourns the passing of time intrinsic to the annals of life, and one secret entombs the faintest glimmer of hope in the arcanum whose coming once killed all such possibility. Do you have what it takes to survive? Do you have what it takes to bring secrets long hidden in the dark into the sterilizing warmth of the light? Do you have what it takes to transform that which once brought the shadow of terror into a harbinger of the dawn? Do you have what it takes to face the awful ennui of a god? Winter has come, and whether the thaw ever will depends on you… GM Style:
*I'll put it like this. The rules are guidelines. I reward creativity the most and love people using out-of-the-box thinking to solve problems. However, the Dice gods have the final say on whether that genius pays off or not.
* “Rule of cool” is designed for narrative emphasis: the rules as written are still the norm.
* Inclusive role-play opportunities: I love all playstyles at my table, so long as the cooperative nature of the game is a common denominator
.* Challenging and engaging combat: you do not need to solve every situation with a hack-and-slash approach.
* Quality storytelling: We aim to translate our deep familiarity with hundreds of page campaign materials into a vivid experience for you to enjoy.
* Actions have consequences: some consequences are good, and some are bad, but for the sake of building immersion, I never “pull punches." We believe that some of our players' most memorable experiences at my tables are caused by the “Dice Gods!

[LFP] [PAID] [5E] Descent into Avernus Friday 8pm EDT
Descent into Avernus
Game: D&D 5e
Suggested player experience: All levels
Day/Timezone: Friday at 8 pm EST/7  pm CST/ 6pm MST/ 5pm PST
Frequency: weekly or as desired ($15 per session fee applies)
Length: 3-hour games
Begins: 5/7/21
Elturel is gone… wiped off the map and with Refugees arrive at Baldur’s Gate from Elturgard in droves, rumors concerning Elturel’s disappearance spread like wildfire, stoking fears that Baldur’s Gate might be next. At the same time, panic swept through the streets of Baldur’s gate as city folk are being hunted and murdered in the streets by cultists of the Dead Three.
You are one such refugee from Elturel. You might be a one of Hellriders — elite cavalry unit who have sworn oaths to defend Elturel. You maybe citizen of the city; or maybe just someone passing though no mater. You saw the city the being dragged below the horizon. After that event you and new fellow party members made Baldur’s gate accompany by.
Reya Mantlemorn… Born in the land of Turmish, Reya came to the holy city of Elturel to train as a Hellrider when she was twelve. She maybe a comrade or an old friend or just someone you met. Reya was training a few miles north of Elturel when the city vanished. She watched in disbelief as the Companion’s light went out, turning black as the city appeared to crumble and sink below the horizon — a horrific image that Reya has been unable to get out of her mind. (just like you). She has heard a rumor that Thavius Kreeg, the high overseer of Elturel is alive and might be responsible for the city being. The only lead she has is the cult of the Dead three.
Grab you dice and strap in this is going to be one hell of a ride! Though before you get too excited, we do have to go over a few ground rules of the table. Should you be a descent person and considerate player, there shouldn’t be anything surprising here.
1) Cursing is allowed at my table, but I request that it be used as a tactic for the purpose of character building and authenticity—in other words, in moderation. Keep the nature of your vulgarity and the comfort of your table-mates in mind. If you are asked to tone down your use of vulgarity or avoid a particular use of it in the future, be mindful of that request.
2) Be respectful of the time people spend in the spotlight. Please, try to keep talking over one another to a minimum. Granted, we will all be getting to know one another, and over time we should develop a rapport that will avoid such issues. As a good rule of thumb, use roll20’s typed-chat feature in between turns when initiating a moment of RP while another party member is currently RPing; use discord’s similar feature when speaking OOC or cracking jokes.
3) Mic check! We have all been in a game where we heard the background of another player’s mic. This can and does diminish the fluidity of the game as well as people’s enjoyment. No one needs to hear the crunch of your snack between rounds of combat! Make sure to mute yourself while eating, or else avoid eating during the game.
4) The majority of this game will be run rules as written. If you want to do something on the fly that bends the rules but does not outright break them, the rule of cool comes into effect! During a game, my decision is final. You may contact me privately if a ruling raises concern. I may choose to alter future decisions based on your expressed argument, but I also reserve the right to keep my original ruling. Do not bog down playtime with debate. Though, I am fine with a “rules lawyer” helping the table by briefly citing an arcane and often forgotten rule or trying to elevate the game during epic moments, but once I make a call, leave contention and debate for post-game discussion.
 5) I respectfully require 24 hours cancellation notice. During the 24 hours prior to play, I plan out the game. If someone cancels at the last minute, then a lot of this planning goes to waste. Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice and not showing up will be considered a No Show. Too many No Shows and you will be removed from the game. Exceptions will be made for family emergencies and other unexpected things.
6) Follow “Wheaton’s Law” (Don’t be a dick) and have fun!
This game we are playing deals with devils and many forms trickly. I always word my sentence carful so make sure you pay attention to what I’m saying (you can, and I do encourage for you to ask me to repeat what things I say). You can interrupt me at any point to say or to do anything that is “in game” that involves your character. Example say if I tell “so you all eat and drink and go to bed” you can jump in at any time to say “no I want to go on a walk” as an example. Though once you have agreed and I begin narrating to you what happens next, there is no go back and say “no I didn’t eat that food” etc.  The results of your actions or inaction can have unexpected results. Please bare this in mind when I ask you if you are doing something or asking how you are wording things.
The qualities I like to see in my players are honesty, patience, and treating each other with kindness. My peeves are meanness, cheating, using OOC knowledge/Meta-gaming. Specifically, if it feels like you are playing other players' characters. Though I do encourage thoughtful consideration (tactics and planning) I cannot allow indefinite discussion… Something I refer to affectionally as "analysis paralysis", at some point I will have to prod you for a decision to keep the game moving.  The guiding goal is fun, and enjoyment. Think about character development as well as level climbing.
This is pay to play, for anyone interested in joining or have any question hit me up on discord:

[LFP] [PAID] [5E] Dragon Heist Sunday 7pm EDT
Dragon Heist Campaign
Game: D&D 5e
Suggested Player Experience: All levels
Day/Timezone: Thursday at 8 pm EST/ 7 pm CST/ 6pm MST/ 5pm PST
Frequency: Game runs weekly session ($15 per session fee applies)
Length of session: 3-4 hours
Beginning 5/2/21
2 seats filled, 4 seats open
Introduction
Welcome to Waterdeep, the Crown of the North, where a wondrous tale of urban adventure is about to unfold. Our story begins with the gathering of adventurers at the Yawning Portal Inn and Tavern. Volothamp Geddarm, the famous explorer and raconteur, has a quest for them—one that entangles the characters in a bitter conflict between two nefarious organizations. If the adventurers complete his quest, Volo rewards them handsomely. Yet a much greater prize lies hidden somewhere in the City of Splendors, waiting to be claimed.
Cache of Dragons
In Waterdeep, a gold coin is called a dragon. Before he was ousted from his position as the Open Lord of Waterdeep, Dagult Neverember embezzled half a million dragons and hid them in a secret vault. As a security precaution, he arranged for all knowledge of the vault's location and defenses to be magically erased from his mind and the minds of his subordinates. The wizard who performed the procedure trapped this knowledge within an artifact called the Stone of Golorr. The wizard disappeared shortly thereafter, and Dagult hid the stone in the Palace of Waterdeep.
The stone was stolen and passed from one hand to another like a common jewel until it wound up in the clutches of Xanathar. The Stone of Golorr is actually an aboleth transformed by magic. In this inanimate state, the aboleth can read the mind of any creature that attunes to the stone, as well as modify that creature's memory. A creature attuned to the stone can also extract information from the aboleth, including lore about the mysterious Neverember's Vault.
War in the Streets
Beneath the city streets lurks a criminal underworld, its leader a beholder called Xanathar. Hoping to gain a political foothold in Waterdeep, agents of the Zhentarim (also known as the Black Network) recently tried to ally their organization with the Xanathar Guild. The architect of this attempt was a clone of the wizard Manshoon, a founder of the Black Network long thought dead.
While the two sides were negotiating in Xanathar's lair, the Stone ofGolorr suddenly disappeared from where Xanathar had hidden it. The paranoid beholder accused the Black Network of stealing it and slew the Zhentarim envoys who were present. When the Zhents retaliated by attacking Xanathar Guild outposts, Xanathar took their actions as confirmation of the Black Network's vile intentions. Now the bad blood between the Zhentarim and Xanathar has begun to spill into the streets, threatening peace throughout the city.
The questions on everyone's minds: Who actually stole the Stone of Golorr? And where is it now?
Now the hype is over, let us go over a few ground rules, shall we? Should you be a kind and descent person, well you only need glance at them to recognize what I am getting at… don’t be “that guy/girl”.
 1) Cursing is allowed at my table, but I request that it be used as a tactic for the purpose of character building and authenticity—in other words, in moderation. Keep the nature of your vulgarity and the comfort of your tablemates in mind. No one needs to hear the crunch of your snack between rounds of combat! Make sure to mute yourself while eating, or else avoid eating during the game.
 4) The majority of this game will be run via the rules as written. If you want to do something on the fly that bends the rules but does not outright break them, the rule of cool comes into effect! During a game, my adjudication is final. You may contact me privately if an adjudication bothers you. I may choose to alter future adjudications based on your expressed argument, but I reserve the right to refuse to do so. Do not bog down playtime with debate. That being said, I am fine with a “rules lawyer” helping the table by briefly citing an arcane and often forgotten rule or trying to elevate the game during epic moments, but once I make a call, leave contention and debate for post-game discussion.

6)Follow “Wheaton’s Law” and have fun!
 About the DM:
I have been playing D&D since I was a kid starting with 1st edition in 1982. Since then, I have played/Dmed all other editions through the years. When it comes to House rules, I am 90% collaborative, and will defer to group vote on incorporating them into our game. Your encounters will be on a spectrum ranging from fairly beneath you to a little too much for you. Do not count on an ever encounter being an even match. If you choose not to run when I drop hints that the encounter might be a bit too much for you, that choice is yours to deal with. Fair warning, no punches will be pulled, and no decisions retconned!
My style is collaborative, as such, I will count on you to look thing up every now and then. I have found this practice to be beneficial to group. Helping to expose inexperienced players to more game knowledge and for veteran you have a better understanding of your companion’s abilities. I have an excellent understanding of RAW, however I am not a rules encyclopedia. (please see ground rule 4)
Your characters should make friends, enemies, and contacts. Work on projects. Build things. Establish reputations. Etc

Wildemount Sunday 7pm EDT

Welcome one and all to Wildemount, this fantastically land is a wonderful sandbox for your D&D pleasure. Our epic adventure begins in the Graying Wildlands. Something is killing people in Palebank Village, and if you do not come together to stop it, you might be next. The bleak arctic realms of the Greying Wildlands and Eiselcross is harsh. The winds howl and the bitter cold gnaws at your flesh, will you have what it takes to unravel this mystery?  This however is only the start of a larger campaign, for deep within the frozen north, Aeorian Ruins of old lie many untold adventures to be had; and unspeakable dangers to overcome.
 1) Cursing is allowed at my table, but I request that it be used as a tactic for the purpose of character building and authenticity—in other words, in moderation. Keep the nature of your vulgarity and the comfort of your table-mates in mind.  6)Follow “Wheaton’s Law” and have fun!
I have been playing and DM'ing a variety of tabletop role-playing games for over 20 years. I start with Dungeons and Dragons second edition and have played all editions since. I believe in setting evocative locations and stimulating scenarios that leave lasting memories. I am hoping this will be a game where we come together to create a shared narrative. A collaborative effort to build your WORLD of Exandria (Not CR) to new heights, and charge head on into adventure in the company of new friends and allies. Conversely, actions have consequences. If you choose “Hack and Slash” approach, when given cues suggesting that an encounter might be too tough, the results of those choices are yours to deal with. Fair warning, no punches will be pulled, and no decisions retconned!
You can expect immersive soundtracks, dynamic lighting, backstory integration, and player driven narratives along with any D&D 5e related help to assist you in making your character and experience as enjoyable as possible. Content Sharing Enabled for complete DnD beyond Legendary Bundle for easy character creations.

Lost Mines of Phandelver 1pm EDT Sunday
Game: D&D 5e (*** Pay to Play***  $15 per session )
Please note that Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Experience: All Levels
Location/Timezone: Eastern
Sunday– Lost Mines of Phandelver w/ a twist:
1 PM Est/ 12pm CT/ 11am MT/ 10am PST
Party Composition needs a spell caster: Wizard or sorcerer would be ideal
Welcome One and all, young and old does not matter there is something here for everyone. Celebrated as one of the best and most played modules in DnD history, prepare to dive into a wonderful world of high fantasy with the lost mines of Phandelver! We begin our wondrous begins in the “Jewel of the North, Neverwinter on the swordcoast. Gundren Rockseeker, a miner and one of the three Rockseeker brothers needs protection on his journey back home, Phandalin. He contracted your services to protect him and his cargo. Charged with safely seeing both to their destination, sometimes the simplest things in life turn into the most fantastical tales and memories. Strap in grab you dice, because the road ahead is long and full of danger, will you return home again? Should you return… will you ever be the same again? Strap in grab your dice and let legends be born through blood or by deed!
This is a fantastic adventure for new and old players, though this is a module on meant to get you to level 5, well…. the adventure does not stop there my friends. It is fantastic jumping off point to the Prince of Apocalypse or Storms kings Thunder, this will be a tale for the ages and campaign you will remember for years to come. We aim to bring you from level 1 all the way through 20, with established modules customized with character driven plots making each time you play these games so amazingly unique. Now the hype is over, let’s go over a few ground rules, shall we? Should you be a kind and descent person, well you only need glance at them to recognize what I’m getting at… don’t be “that guy/girl”.
1)     Cursing is allowed at my table, however in moderation. Should you design a fowl mouthed character by all mean RP that shit up all you like, but keep it relatively clean so as to not make others uncomfortable. If you are asked to tone down your use of vulgarity or avoid a particular use of it in the future, be mindful of that request
  3) Mic check, mi mi mi MIC CHECK! Let’s all face it at one time or another we've all been in a game and heard tons of background noise of another players Mic. This can and does diminish the fluidity of the game as well as people enjoyment. No one needs to hear you munching on cheetos between your round of combat! Make sure to mute yourself while eating, or else avoid eating during the game. 4) This for the majority will run as rules as written, if you want to do something on the fly that kind of bends the rules but doesn't outright break them... Well let the RULE OF COOL comes into affect! Though it will be sparing, reserved for epic moments and not every session. I am fine with Rule lawyers, but once I made a call let it be and we can chat after the session as much as you like. Though that being said I can be swayed by expressed point/argument so long as it is brief and doesn’t turn into a debate.
5) Be Cool and have FUN!!
What you can expect from me:
I have discovered the passion for storytelling and derive enjoyment from leading others through fantastic and memorable adventures. I am here to have as much fun and provide you an escape from reality and through you I took escape! I really do want to put you in that world, in that moment and help you bring out that inner bad ass that is your character!! Conversely, actions do have consequences, so things can go real sideways if you go around murdering and stealing! I love providing an immersive experience, I try to give each NPC their own remarkable , but I am not a voice actor! This will of course vary with each group, but I am for a 30% RP, 10-15% exploration and the rest combat. I will by no means will ever make you RP if you don't want to, but I do reward good RP and inventive thinking more than combat XP. I run a mix of XP and milestone type system, that account for attendance, so if you miss a whole bunch of games you might be a level or two behind the rest of the party, which is totally fine! Life happens, it is what it is. May the Dice every fall in your favor!!
This is pay to play, for anyone interested in joining or have any question hit me up on discord:

Curse of Strahd Weds 7 pm EDT
Curse of Strahd (Revamped)
Game: D&D 5e
Experience: Intermediate
Day/Timezone: Wednesday at 7 pm EST/ 6 pm CST/ 5pm MST/ 4pm PST
Frequency: Bi-weekly (every other week) or weekly, as desired ($15 per session fee applies)
Length: 3-hour games
DM: David
Begins: 4/21/21 7 PM Est/ 6 pm CT/ 5 pm MT/ 4 pm PST
2 Seats left!!
Would be “heroes,” yoked into service by the charismatic wiles of fate, are led to the roads between worlds. The group soon finds themselves under the raging storm clouds that frame the ancient walls of a castle perched high above a rustic, mountain-side village.
Thunder pounds the castle’s crenelations, and howling winds buffet its spires. From the aging parapets, a silhouette turns its gaze down towards the village.
Far below, yet not beyond the figure’s keen eyesight, the party of adventurers has just entered the shadow’s domain. In a flash of lighting, its cold lips form the barest hint of a smile.
Then, the figure is gone! Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner, and you are invited...
Welcome, one and all, to Barovia, a land shrouded in grim mystery. The Gothic Horror themed adventure is the winner of the 2016 ENnie Awards. How will you navigate its immersive sandbox? What shape will your gothic narrative take?
Disclaimer: This game is 18+ due to graphic violence, gore, horror, and implied sexual themes; as Tracy Hickman, one of the original authors of the 1st edition and 2nd edition AD&D Ravenloft and House of Strahd quests put it, the vampire is “a decadent predator, an abuser hidden behind a romantic veil.” That is the villain you should expect to find, fight, and hopefully kill.
This game is a “grimdark” experience saturated in the tropes of gothic horror; it is not a high fantasy adventure. The elements that make it stand out from other campaign settings are its use of fear, horror, and insurmountable odds. Where the typical D&D adventure is an experience steeped in the tropes of empowerment, this campaign is steeped in the opposite (at least at first). These are staples of the Ravenloft setting, and such games are not for everyone!
1) Cursing is allowed at my table, but I request that it be used as a tactic for the purpose of character building and authenticity—in other words, in moderation. Keep the nature of your vulgarity and the comfort of your table-mates in mind. If you are asked to tone down your use of vulgarity or avoid a particular use of it in the future, be mindful of that request
We've all been in a game where we heard the background of another player’s mic. This can and does diminish the fluidity of the game as well as people’s enjoyment. No one needs to hear the crunch of your snack between rounds of combat! Make sure to mute yourself while eating, or else avoid eating during the game.
5) Follow “Wheaton’s Law” and have fun!
What you can expect from me: I’m an English literature PhD candidate with private play tester credits in various 5th edition D&D books and an obsessive passion for the structures guiding narrative, storytelling, and roleplaying games. I have had 29 years of experience with D&D, grew up playing 2e, and have DMed for the vast majority of my tenure as a table-top gamer. I actively oppose the “competitive-DM” mentality. My goal is not to best my players. Together, as a group, we will be creating an emergent narrative. I am merely that narrative’s guide.
Conversely, actions have consequences. If you start murdering and stealing, expect the world to respond realistically. Likewise, Barovia is a grimdark sandbox filled with threats that are often too powerful for a group to defeat when they are initially discovered. If you choose not to run when the world and I both give you cues suggesting that an encounter might be too tough for a combative approach, the results of those choices are yours to deal with. Fair warning, no punches will be pulled and no decisions retconned!
In the past, I have found that this setting and campaign are greatly enhanced by a few house rules and optional rules from the DMG. I, however, am here to facilitate your experience! As such, the following rules will be discussed during our pre-game session. We will choose together whether all or none of them shall be adopted:

Wildmount Monday Night 8pm (paid)
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (Roll20) Experience: All Levels Location/Timezone: Eastern Availability: Monday Night 8pm Preferred role: DM
Welcome one and all to Wildmount, this fantastically land is a wonderful sandbox for your D&D pleasure, brought to you by me DM Mystic. Our epic adventure begins on the not too far from the jewel of the Menagerie coast, Port Damali. For one reason or another, your character will find themselves in Palma Flora, whether it be to enjoy a peaceful retreat or the thrill of shark hunting, or whatever marvelous inventive reason your own design. All aboard! The waters looks calm, warm and inviting, but beneath the waves there is a mystery to unravel!
This is a truly open ended campaign, my plan is to bring you from 1 to level 20, if you aspire to be one like one of the Mighty Nein, shoot for the stars! Word of caution in your ambition though, I am not Matt Mercer, this will be YOUR adventure and I will be the DM to guide you, so let take a chance and roll some DICE!
Now that we have gone over the Hype and got you blood rushing a bit, lets go over some of the basics of how the game shall be run, there won't be any shockers, if you a good player, please feel free to skip the point below:
1) Cursing is allowed at my table, however in moderation. Should you design a fowl mouthed character by all mean RP that shit up all you like, but keep it relatively clean so as to not make other uncomfortable.
2) Be respectful of the time people spend in the spotlight, please try and keep talking over one another to a minimum. Granted we are all getting to know one another and over time we will develop a tempo that will nearly cut this down to non-existence.
3) Mic check, mi mi mi MIC CHECK! Lets all face it at one time or another we've all been in a game and heard tons of backround of another players Mic. This can and does diminish the fluidity of the game as well as people enjoyment. No one needs to hear you munching on cheetos between your round of combat!
4) This for the majority will run as rules as written, if you want to do something on the fly that kind of bends the rules but doesn't outright break them... Well let the RULE OF COOL Rule! Though it will be sparing, reserved for epic moments and not every session. I am fine with Rule lawyers, but once I made a call let it be and we can chat after the session as much as you like. 5) Be Cool and have FUN!!
What you can expect from me:
I am light-hearted, easy going and have a great sense of humor, I am here to have as much fun if not more than you guys! I really do strive to put you in that world, in that moment and help you fully realize in vivid description how cool and bad ass your character and your actions are. Conversely, actions do have consequences, so things can go real sideways if you murder hobo! This will of course vary with each person and each group I run, but I am for a 30% RP, 10-15% exploration and the rest combat. Life happens, it is what it is, Now for the nitty Gritty:
I love providing an immersive experience, I will be using a soundboard through discord for background noise, ambient sounds, battle music and sound effects. I use a voice mod app to give each NPC there own sound, because I am not a voice actor! I am putting in a ton of effort to make this a memorable, please have a good headset so you can take full advantage of my efforts. There is a choice to be made right of the bat... Roll for stats OR take point buy once you've decided there's no going back until that character either gets written out or dies (which you can completely do the 1st session if you want). Next Variant human is okay and every other race that is within my compendium!
