i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

I’m curious, anyone have an opinion on when “instantly die” is better than “dragged out death”? I prefer writing a dragged out death cus the other characters can worry and hope and comfort eachother- then they die. then again, it can be hard figuring out when to pull the trigger. do they die after a chapter or five? I sure don’t know

Instant death has more dealing with grief, the aftermath, which I think can hit better with a long death.

New chapter! In this chapter, Polly and Fright have a conversation, which is tense because of Polly getting out of being trapped in her own mind by the darkness infesting her. I swear we will get to the wholesome bits soon I just got on a “how much can i traumatize this character” kick :)

oh also Im doing shorter chapters now cus my mental health probably looks like a shivering chihuahua after taking a bath.
