Here I am in the middle of it all. Not at the bottom, not near the peak. Just caught between the climb and the collapse.
And still, the days stretch thin. Work, grind, give, repeat. I bleed into my hours only to see it all disappear into the hands that are not mine.
Everyone wants something. Everyone needs something. And somehow, I’m always the answer.
It’s a dozen voices pulling at me. Requests wrapped in guilt, needs disguised as love, obligations I never chose but bear anyway.
They call it responsibility. I call it drowning. Because I can’t breathe under the weight of things I’m expected to carry quietly.
There are days I break the numbers apart, cut corners, stretch coins, pray to make it through. And still they ask, as if I am a well that never runs dry. As if I wasn’t already pouring from empty.
No one sees what it takes to keep standing. No one hears the silence after giving everything and being told it still isn’t enough.
Here I am — not at the start, not at the end. Just… here. In the middle. And the middle is the heaviest place of all.

A little coffee break after lunch. My bestfriend met me near my office for lunch and coffee. An hour was definitely not enough for a catch up.

I am so overwhelmed right now. My thesis manuscript's deadline is in 2 days. My groupmates won't really cooperate on anything. I chose them as my groupmates and now I feel as if I have made the wrong decision.
From the very beginning of our thesis 1 subject, the proposals, title defense, and revisions, i feel like i did all the work. No part of the manuscript was not rewritten by me. They have tried to write but it was all shit. No joke. It was like they haven't graduated high school yet when in fact, in a months time we are bound to graduate college.
I'm sick of doing all the work. All they did for our thesis was compile and recompile the chapters, mind the margin and the spacings. And even then they fail. Fucking hell. They are so incompetent. Then they have the guts to individually message me complaining that they were doing more work than then other members and that this time around someone else should compile the chapters. Like wtf??? That's all you're tasked to do and you still want to pass on that task. Gosh. I'm just so overwhelemed.
I saw the other groups pass their manuscript today and wow let me tell you i found one paper to be unexpectedly excellent. Our paper was supposed to be compiled already but i thought fuck it let me revise the last chapter again, it needs to be better.
I asked the help of my groupmates to revise and surprise surprise, no reply. Someone said that she thought we were done with the paper and i told her we needed to revise. They all said to do it tomorrow but i bet you my life, i'll still be the one to do the work tomorrow.
They can't put two sentences together in the paper without messing up. What the hell is wrong with their minds??? To think these people are also candidates for latin honors? Fuck this shit.
It's like i have to command them everytime so that they will move otherwise they think there is nothing else to do. Just wow.
Be ready for that fucking peer evaluation because you are bound to get that fucking failing mark from me you fucking bitches.
ANYWAY SORRY FOR THE RANT. HAHAHAHA

Here is my brand new challenge! So many people have asked if I would be doing it again this year and I really hope you will all enjoy doing it! I’m so excited to get to know you all through the posts and celebrate winter with you!
❄️ Info ❄️
If you do the challenge, use the tag #winter studying challenge so I (and others) can see your posts. I will try to reblog as many posts in the tag as possible.
This challenge will run for 6 weeks - from the 1st December to the 14th January
There are daily prompts for every day of the challenge
But, as always, I don’t expect everyone to be able to post every day so you can always do catch-up posts!
If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask!
❄️ Rules ❄️
If you want to do the challenge, please reblog this post
If you do it on any other social media platform (ie. Instagram), please give credit (my instagram | my tiktok | my pinterest)
The challenge will officially start on the 1st December, but if you come across this later, you can definitely start anytime during these six weeks!
DISCLAIMER: Quite a few of the prompts in December are to do with Christmas because that is what I celebrate at this time of year. I was very aware of that when I was writing the prompts but I did not think that I knew enough about other festivals and holidays at this time to write prompts about them. I did not want any prompts I made to be disrespectful. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, please know that this challenge is still for you! You can either just use the prompts anyway (if they are applicable) or adapt them to fit the festival or holiday that you celebrate. If it is impossible to adapt, then simply tell me about what you celebrate during winter because I am excited to learn about them!

Some late night thesis work...
Q#2 - How long do you plan on pursuing academia?
After my bachelor's degree, I plan to work for sometime before continuing to law school. So that's another 4 more years in academia and another year after that for bar reviews. Anyway, plans never go according our way, so I guess we'll see!

Reareanged my study space again. I need a little more space and minimalism to help me focus on my thesis. My old study table gets crowded easily because of a shelf on the right side so I removed it and put on a new wallpaper.
Next goal: repaint the walls.

Bought a new notebook from the japan store yesterday. 2 am in the morning today, as I was about to go to sleep, I got a burst of motivation and I started working on my thesis. I also filled my november calendar before posting it.
This month will be eventful but it will be a good month!

I missed the studyblr community!!! I plan to regularly post again. ♥️
It's thesis season for me. Our group's proposed topic has finally been approved after 10 proposed topics. Thank you lord!
Coming up with topics is really exhausting especially because you have to really dig deep into a topic before you propose it to make sure that it is connected to our discipline, it's relevant, and is thesis worthy.
Wish me luck!!!
Anyway, i bought a ring light for my online class. Just a small one. One of my profa complained last semester that he can't see me clearly, and my video seems foggy so here we go hahahaha

i’ve done one too many research papers and have learned the different ways of collecting research data cos of my course! here are 4 different ways of collecting data for qualitative research studies, as well as the different approaches under each type! personally, my current fave is the content analysis! i’m currently working on a paper using that method <3 honestly wish i could have learned about these different approaches, instead of just opting to conduct interviews for all my papers in the past. but i hope this helps!

Reblogging this as it is now thesis season for me!!!
Okay. If you are doing research - especially history research, here are a couple steps to possibly save your life.
1) Get thee to wikipedia.
Seriously. You can’t site it because it has the academic credibility of some random graffitti, and you can’t quote it because the exact writing and content changes every time it gets edited, BUT:
It will almost certainly be more accurate than printed encyclopedias, which are updated every ten years or so, and only require a few eyes compared to wikipedia, where any trolling will probably get you banned or suspended in hours. Not to mention it’s getting a LOT more peer reviews. So you can’t quote it, but it’s probably fairly accurate.
And the best part? After just about every tidbit of information, there’s going to be a little citation number. If you click it, it’ll take you down to the references section (and even highlight the relevant one). You can then go to the original source - which will be much more credible. What’s more is you’ll have specific page numbers (if it’s a book), and you’ll know exactly what kind of information you’re looking for.
2) If it’s a book, Internet Archive is your best friend
The search function isn’t great if you’re looking up questions like you would into your google (or ecosia - if you want to do a good thing for the earth) search bar, but if you know the author and year the book was published, it’s great. You’ll have this information already on hand from step one, if that’s how you found the book in the first place.
There are about 30 million books on Internet Archive and counting, so there’s a good chance they’re going to have what you’re looking for. However, about half of them are check-out only. Checking out is actually easy. You need to set up a free account, and make sure to give them a valid email address because they will send you a verification email. After that, you can check out any book you want for an hour. (excelent for focus!)
If you are only looking at specific pages, you should be fine, but there’s also other longer options for checking stuff out for some books. (I think?)
Also, in many books, you can search for specific keywords within the book, and there’s a little slider at the bottom to find pages.
3) watch Overly Sarcastic Production’s “How to do research”
Seriously. It’s amazing. My first point is confirmed in the video which is just more proof that I’m right /hj

I've been inactive for almost the whole month of may and wasn't able to continue the 100 days of productivity challenge that I started.
May has been a rough month for me but hello june! It's finally my birth month and It's going to be good! June is always good to me.
And congratulations to me as well for making it to the Dean's list! Second semester is going so crazy fast, but I know I can keep up.
It's also time for me to look for an internship but the difficult thing about it is that it can only be online.
I'll try to be more active in tumblr this June!

100 days of productivity
6/100
May 6, 2021
We were supposed to just have asynchronous mode of learning until modified enhanced community quarantine lasts but our professor for media laws and ethics requested for a sync class. He's confusing af, cause he doesn't make sense at all when he talks. He's jus rambling on about random things.
